Your Gillette seat decision in 30 seconds
For a Patriots game, the seat to buy is a lower-level section near midfield, 108–111 on the home side or 130–133 across the field, in a row somewhere in the 20s or 30s. For value, buy the first seven rows of an upper-deck sideline section, ahead of the walkway, such as 309–310 or 331–332. If you want height plus an indoor lounge, the CL club seats on either sideline are the upgrade.
- Avoid: the first few rows on the sidelines, the rows just behind the upper walkway, and the top corners of the 300s.
- Shade: the west sideline for afternoon kickoffs.
- Cover: only the back rows of the lower sideline sections.
One sweep around the field
The stadium has three levels: the 100s (the lower bowl, 101–143), the 200s (corner mezzanine sections plus CL club sections on each sideline) and the 300s (the upper deck, 301–340). Learn the 100s and the rest follows.
On the stadium's own seating maps, section 101 sits where the north end zone, the lighthouse end, meets the Patriots sideline. Numbers run down the east (Patriots) sideline to 117, cross the south end zone at 118–122, come back up the west (visitor) sideline at 123–139, and close the loop in the north end zone at 140–143. Viewed from above with north at the top, that is clockwise. The upper levels follow the same path, so 309 is above 109 and 331 is above 131.
- East, Patriots: 101–117 downstairs, 301–318 upstairs.
- West, visitors: 123–139 downstairs, 322–340 upstairs.
- North end (lighthouse): 140–143.
- South end: 118–122, next to the field-level Optum Field Lounge.
Lower bowl: which rows to buy
The 100 level surrounds the field, but its shape changes as you go. Sideline sections are long and deep, corners narrow, and the end-zone sections are thin wedges that put you level with the goal line.
Midfield and row height
SeatGeek and RateYourSeats agree that 109–110 (home side) and 131–132 (visitor side) straddle the 50, with 108–111 and 130–133 forming the broader midfield block. Both guides favor rows in the 20s and 30s. Down low, you are at field height behind a sideline packed with players, coaches and gear, and the far side of the field flattens. From the 20s upward, you clear the bench and see formations across the full width.
The only covered rows
The club level overhangs the top of the lower sideline sections, so the last few rows there are under a roof, as two sources agree. That is the stadium's only real shelter from rain, but the overhang can cut off high punts and kickoffs.
Corners and end zones
Behind the north goalpost, 140–143 sit under the lighthouse; 118–122 do the same at the south end. Both are good for red-zone plays and weak for action between the 30s. The corners, roughly 101–104, 114–117, 123–126 and 136–139, are a middle ground, usually below sideline demand.
Club seats and the 200 corners
The 200 level is really two products.
- CL club sections: on the stadium's maps, CL6–CL13 line the Patriots sideline and CL28–CL35 line the visitor sideline, connected to the indoor Cross Insurance Club lounges. CL9–CL10 sit at the home 50, CL31–CL32 at the visitors' 50.
- Mezzanine corners: plain 200-numbered sections in the four corners, 201–205 and 214–218 on the east side, 223–227 and 236–240 on the west.
A club seat is arguably the best balance of height and distance in the building. You watch every route open up and still follow the ball without the video board. The cost is demand: club tickets carry a clear premium over similar lower-bowl rows because the lounge is included.
The 200 corners are easy to overlook. You get mezzanine height at a diagonal without club pricing. Choose the corner nearest the end you care about; the north end puts you by the lighthouse.
The 300 level: front band vs. the rest
The upper deck, 301–340, circles the whole stadium in two bands. The stadium's maps show a short front strip, a walkway cutting across, and the larger rear portion of the deck behind it. SeatGeek and RateYourSeats agree the front strip is seven rows deep.
- Rows 1–7: only a rail between you and the field. In 309–310 above the Patriots or 331–332 above the visitors, these are among the best-value seats in the building.
- First rows behind the walkway: walkway traffic crosses your view all game, and fans have reported that a rail interferes with sightlines in the row directly above the aisle.
- Top corner rows: the farthest seats in the stadium, exposed to wind through the open ends late in the season.
When you compare upper-deck listings, read the row first. A low corner row can be a better seat than a high midfield row.
Home side or visitor side, sun or shade
The east sideline (101–117, CL6–CL13, 301–318) puts you behind the Patriots bench. The west sideline (123–139, CL28–CL35, 322–340) puts you behind the visitors, looking across at the home bench. Some fans pick the west side for exactly that: you see the Patriots sideline face-on rather than the backs of their jerseys.
At afternoon kickoffs, shade reaches the west stands well before the east, which keeps baking. That is a bigger deal early in the season than in December. Rule of thumb: sit west to stay cool, east to stay warm.
Lower-bowl sections are wide and rows are long, so an aisle seat saves a lot of squeezing past people, especially with children. The stadium's guide lists family restrooms upstairs behind 304, 314, 326 and 336, on the middle level behind 216 and 224, and downstairs behind 138.
Concert stages and Revolution matches
Concerts
Stadium tours put the stage at one end and turn the field into temporary floor sections or general admission standing room. End-zone sections behind the stage are typically closed or sold as limited or rear view, which leaves a horseshoe of usable seats. Layouts vary by tour, so check the map for your show.
- Strongest: the middle of the floor and the lower sideline sections between the stage and midfield, raised above the floor crowd and angled toward the stage.
- Value: the 300-level front band on the sidelines, where the full production and lighting rig are in view.
- Be careful: seats flanking the stage, where sound towers and scenery can hide part of the performance, and upper sections at the opposite end, which are as far from the stage as you can get.
Soccer
The Revolution and visiting international teams play on the same field, sold with the same sections. Midfield blocks 108–111 and 130–133, and the clubs above them, follow play best, while the end zones become goal ends. Every Reserved Seat order is backed by a 100% guarantee.
Wheelchair sections on each level
Per the stadium, every level and every price range includes wheelchair spaces with companion seats. The sections highlighted on its 2025 Patriots accessibility map are:
- 100 level: 103, 107, 110, 112 and 115 on the east side; 120 at the south end; 124, 130, 133, 137 and 139 on the west side; 142 at the north end.
- Club: CL7–CL12 (home side) and CL28–CL35 (visitor side).
- 200 corners: 215, 216 and 225.
- 300 front band: 303, 305, 309, 311 and 314 on the east; 326, 327, 331, 333 and 336 on the west.
The concert map uses the same sections. Each wheelchair space comes with one guaranteed companion seat beside it, and as many as two additional neighboring seats when available. The club, suite and upper concourses have elevator service, and ramps run up from three gates: CVS Health, Bank of America and Ticketmaster. For up-to-date maps and the phone number to call, see the stadium's accessible services page.
Frequently asked questions
Where does section 101 start at Gillette Stadium?
At the corner where the north (lighthouse) end zone meets the Patriots sideline, per the stadium's maps. Numbers then run down the east sideline, across the south end, up the west sideline and finish at 143 in the north end.
Which rows are best in the lower bowl at Gillette Stadium?
Two seating guides favor rows in the 20s and 30s of the midfield sections. Lower rows sit at field height behind the crowded sidelines, which hides much of the far side of the field.
Should I sit in front of or behind the upper-deck walkway at Gillette?
In front if you can. The seven-row front band of the 300 level has nothing but a rail ahead of it, while the rows just behind the walkway see foot traffic all game.
Which side of Gillette Stadium gets shade for afternoon games?
The west sideline, home of the visitors' bench, falls into shade first. The east sideline behind the Patriots stays in the sun longer.
Do CL seats at Gillette Stadium include lounge access?
Yes. CL6 to CL13 on the Patriots side and CL28 to CL35 on the visitor side connect to the indoor Cross Insurance Club lounges, which is why club tickets carry a premium.
How many companion seats come with a wheelchair space at Gillette Stadium?
One companion seat is guaranteed next to each wheelchair space, and up to two more adjacent seats may be available, per the stadium.
