The Mohegan Sun Arena chart at a glance
The Mohegan Sun Arena seating chart has three parts: a floor that is rebuilt for each event, a lower level of sections 11 through 28, and an upper level of sections 101 through 122. The best all-around seats are the lower sideline sections at the middle of each side, 15 and 16 on the bench side and 24 and 25 across from them. The best value is the first two rows of the upper sideline sections, which sit in front of the entry tunnels with an open rail ahead.
- Closest: floor sections 1 through 3 at a concert, courtside at a basketball game.
- Best balance: lower sidelines, 14 through 17 and 23 through 26.
- Straight-on value: the lower and upper sections at the far end from the stage.
- Skip: the end sections behind an end stage, which are usually closed or sold with a limited-view warning.
With about 10,000 seats for concerts, this is a small arena by touring standards. Even the back row of the upper level is closer to the stage than the middle of the upper deck in most big-city arenas, which is why the upper level here deserves a serious look.
How the section numbers run, level by level
The Connecticut Sun's 2026 seating map, the most detailed official chart published for the building, shows both rings numbered clockwise. The two rings start at the same end of the arena, so section 11 and section 101 sit one above the other.
Lower level: sections 11-28
- Starting end: 11 at the middle of the end, flanked by 12 and 28.
- Bench sideline: corner 13, then 14, 15, 16 and 17, then corner 18.
- Far end: 19, 20 and 21.
- Opposite sideline: corner 22, then 23, 24, 25 and 26, then corner 27.
Upper level: sections 101-122
- Starting end: 101, 102 and 122, above 11, 12 and 28.
- Corners: 103 and 104, 109 and 110, 114 and 115, 120 and 121.
- Bench sideline: 105 through 108, above 14 through 17.
- Far end: 111, 112 and 113, above 19 through 21.
- Opposite sideline: 116 through 119, above 23 through 26.
A shortcut: the four center sections on each side match up across levels. Lower 14-17 sits under upper 105-108, and lower 23-26 sits under upper 116-119. TicketIQ and RateYourSeats list the same section ranges and the same center, corner and end groupings.
Rows and seat numbers in each section
Searchers often look for a Mohegan Sun Arena seating chart with seat numbers. The arena does not publish a seat-by-seat map, so the details below come from seating guides, and the page says where they disagree.
- Floor: rows A through V, skipping I and O, with up to 18 seats in a row, according to TicketIQ and MapaPlan.
- Lower level: TicketIQ and MapaPlan list rows A through U. RateYourSeats shows section 15 running A through S, with wheelchair spaces between rows R and S, and says every lower seat is within 25 rows of the floor. Expect row depth to vary by section and setup.
- Upper level: rows A through M. TicketIQ, MapaPlan and RateYourSeats agree, which makes the upper level no more than 13 rows deep.
Where seat 1 is
Two guides agree on the rule. MapaPlan says seat 1 is nearest the lower-numbered neighboring section, and RateYourSeats says that when you face the court or stage, the lower seat numbers are on your right. Both describe the same thing: in section 15, seat 1 is on the aisle next to section 14, and the numbers climb toward section 16. On the floor, MapaPlan says seats rise from right to left as you face the stage.
One more detail matters upstairs. RateYourSeats places the upper-level entry tunnels at row C, so rows A and B sit in front of the walkway, with nothing between you and the rail, while row C seats beside a tunnel see foot traffic all night.
Basketball layout: benches, courtside and tables
On the Sun's 2026 map, both player benches and the scorer's table share the sideline in front of sections 14 through 17. TicketIQ and MapaPlan put the Sun bench in front of section 15 and the visitors in front of 16. Courtside seats run along both sidelines, and four floor tables sit at the far end of the court, in front of sections 19 through 21. The team's premium page describes those as Courtside Club tables for four at floor level, and courtside seats as padded chairs directly on the court.
- Pick for the full game: 24 and 25, mid-section. You look straight across at both benches and see every set play develop.
- Pick to be near the team: 15 and 16 from about row E up, high enough to see over the bench and courtside rows.
- Upper value: 106, 107, 117 and 118 in rows A and B. RateYourSeats rates 107 as a center-court view.
- Think twice: the end sections (11, 12, 28 and 19 through 21). The basket support and the length of the court make the far end hard to judge.
The Sun played the 2026 season here before a planned move to Houston in 2027, per the venue page. College basketball, including the Big East women's tournament, uses the same court layout, so the same advice applies.
End-stage concerts, comedy and center-stage shows
For a standard end-stage show, guides place the stage at the end of the arena where sections 11 and 101 sit. TicketIQ lists 11, 12 and 28 below and 101, 102 and 122 above as the behind-the-stage sections, which are usually left unsold or sold as limited view. Floor sections 1 through 3 are nearest the stage, and 4 through 8 fill the space behind them.
- Floor: RateYourSeats picks the floor straight back from the stage, sections 2 and 5, as the best concert view in the building. The floor is flat, so a tall crowd in front costs you more than distance does.
- Lower sides: 15 to 17 and 23 to 25 are raised and angled toward the stage. MapaPlan lists 14 and 26, then 15 and 25, as the lower sections closest to the stage.
- Head-on: 19 through 21 and upper 111 through 113 face the stage directly. RateYourSeats calls 113 a head-on view for most shows. You see the full production, from the farthest point in the bowl.
- Upper sides: RateYourSeats recommends 106 through 108 and 116. Sections 105 and 119 are closer to the stage but sharply angled.
Seats to avoid on stage nights
RateYourSeats notes that the lower-numbered seats in section 14 sit behind the front edge of the stage, so choose higher seat numbers there. The same section-to-stage geometry suggests checking seat numbers in 26, on the other side, before you buy. A fan review of row A in upper section 107 reports that lighting hung above the stage blocked part of the video screen, a common trade-off in the front upstairs rows.
Comedy uses an end stage too, but faces and timing matter more than spectacle, so a close lower side seat beats a distant head-on one. When a show is staged in the center of the floor, every sideline section becomes a good seat and the end sections lose their limited-view problem.
What you see from the floor, lower and upper levels
Seat-view searches for this arena mostly ask one question: how far away is the upper level? The short answer is not very far.
- From the floor: the closest view of the performer and the worst view of everything else. You look up at the stage and depend on the screens for detail once you are a few sections back.
- From the lower level: the best mix of height and distance. Seats in the middle rows of the sideline sections see over the floor crowd and the courtside rows, and the stage or court fills your view without turning your head.
- From the upper level: a full, tidy view of the court or stage, with the lighting rig and video board in the same frame. Rows A and B feel close; the corners in the back rows of 103, 104, 109, 110, 114, 115, 120 and 121 are the farthest seats in the building.
Photo-based sites such as RateYourSeats and A View From My Seat post fan pictures by section and row, which are the best way to check the angle from a specific seat before you commit.
Suites, premium seating and accessible rows
Mohegan Sun sells Arena Suites with private entrances, suite-level restrooms and catering, for groups the casino lists at 15 to 100 people. For Sun games, the team's premium page lists the Sky Suite for up to 33 guests and the Earth Suite for up to 120, which it describes as having a floor-level view of the arena, along with the courtside seats and Courtside Club tables.
Accessible seating
Two guides place wheelchair seating at the back of the lower level: TicketIQ lists row S, and RateYourSeats places it between rows R and S. TicketIQ adds that lower-level rows Q and R suit guests with limited mobility because they require fewer stairs. Because floor and stage layouts change, confirm accessible locations with the box office or the Mohegan Sun ADA services page when you choose seats.
Frequently asked questions
Where is seat 1 in a Mohegan Sun Arena row?
On the aisle next to the lower-numbered neighboring section. Facing the court or stage, the low seat numbers are on your right, according to MapaPlan and RateYourSeats.
How many rows are in the upper level at Mohegan Sun Arena?
Upper sections 101 through 122 run from row A to row M, no more than 13 rows. Entry tunnels sit at row C, which leaves rows A and B in front of the walkway.
What is the view like from the upper level at Mohegan Sun Arena?
Closer than in most arenas, because the building holds only about 10,000 people. Front rows of the sideline sections, such as 106 to 108 and 116 to 118, see the whole stage or court; the back rows of the corners are the farthest seats.
Which sections are behind the stage at Mohegan Sun Arena?
For an end-stage show, TicketIQ lists lower sections 11, 12 and 28 and upper sections 101, 102 and 122. They are usually unsold or sold as limited view, so check the event map.
Where are the wheelchair seats at Mohegan Sun Arena?
At the back of the lower level. TicketIQ lists row S and RateYourSeats places the spaces between rows R and S; floor locations depend on the event.
Which side are the benches on for basketball?
Both benches and the scorer's table sit along the sideline in front of sections 14 through 17, per the Connecticut Sun's seating map, with the home bench in front of 15.
