Best Ball Arena seats at a glance
For a Nuggets or Avalanche game, the best all-around seats are the center sideline sections of the lower level, 102 and 148 on the south side and 124 and 126 on the north, from about row 8 up. For value, look at the odd-numbered 300-level sections along the sidelines: each holds just one to three rows and sits right at the front rail of the upper level.
- Closest: courtside and floor rows for basketball, glass rows for hockey.
- Best balance: lower-level center sideline, mid-section rows.
- Short-row comfort: the club level, about four rows per section.
- Best value: odd-numbered 300s on the sidelines.
The south-side, clockwise rule
Ball Arena publishes its own numbering rules on its seating-chart page. Numbering begins at the south side, where center court and center ice both sit, and climbs clockwise. Each level applies the rule this way:
- Lower level (100s): even numbers only, 102–148, with the first and last sections (102, 148) side by side at south center court.
- Select Health Club Level (200s): even numbers 202 to 260, with 202 and 260 meeting at south center.
- Upper level (300s): two tiers stacked together. Odd numbers, 301–379, belong to the front tier, which the arena calls the lower balcony. Even numbers, 302–380, belong to the rear tier, the upper balcony.
Since each loop begins at south center, the north sideline lands mid-range: downstairs at 124/126, in the club ring at 230/232, and upstairs around 341, 342 and 343. In the lower level, sections 110–116 fill the west end and 134–140 fill the east end.
Row depth and where seat 1 sits
Rows start at row 1 at the bottom of each section and count upward. Within a row, the arena's concert map states that once you sit down, seat 1 is to your right. Someone looking up from the floor would see numbers climbing from left to right. So seat 1 is the right-hand end of your row, and the highest number is the left-hand end. Sections with an aisle on each side give you an aisle seat at either end; if that matters to you, confirm the layout with the seller.
Row depth, as drawn on the arena's 2025 seating maps:
- Lower level: most sections reach about row 22. A few corners stop near row 19: 106, 120, 130 and 144.
- Club level: about four rows.
- Odd 300s: one to three rows, right at the rail.
- Even 300s: rising to about row 15 or 16 behind them.
That last pair matters. Section 341 and section 342 share a sideline, but row 2 of 341 is far closer to the court than row 14 of 342.
Seats to pick for Nuggets basketball
Per the arena's basketball map, the court lies east–west. Both benches share the south sideline at sections 102 and 148; the Nuggets bench leans toward 146, the visiting bench toward 104.
- Courtside: rows CS1–CS4 run along both baselines and the north side of the court. Floor rows lettered AA and BB, plus CC behind the baselines, are set in front of row 1 of the lower bowl. Nothing is closer, and nothing carries more demand.
- Pick: 102, 148, 124 and 126 from about row 8 up, high enough to see over courtside fans and the bench.
- Value pick: the sections just off center: 104 and 146 on the bench side, 122 and 128 across the court.
- Upper pick: odd-numbered sideline sections, for example 379, 301, 303 and 305 on the south side or 341 and 343 on the north.
- Think twice: the end blocks (110–116 west, 134–140 east). The backboard and basket support sit between you and the opposite basket, so half of every game is played away from you and partly hidden.
Seats to pick for Avalanche hockey
The arena's hockey map moves a few key landmarks:
- Benches: both on the south side, the Avalanche at 102 and the visitors at 148.
- Penalty boxes: across the ice at 124/126.
- Attack-twice end: the east end (134–140), where the Avalanche shoot in periods one and three.
The first several lower-level rows are glass seats (rows directly behind the clear boards). Board battles happen inches away and pregame skates are a treat, yet the low angle through the glass makes the opposite zone hard to judge. From rows in the teens, cross-ice passes and line changes are easier to follow.
For a balance of both, choose an east-end corner such as 132 or 142: near the net the home team attacks twice, with a diagonal look at the full sheet. The club ring is another strong hockey choice, because its short sections keep even the back row close and high enough to watch plays form.
Club ring, theater boxes and suites
The 200 level, branded the Select Health Club Level, is a narrow band of even sections, 202–260, each about four rows deep, so every seat sits just above the lower bowl. Tickets include the club concourse. The center club sections are the ones to target for sports: 258, 260, 202 and 204 along the south sideline, and 228–234 along the north. End clubs (214–218 west, 244–248 east) keep the short rows but give an end-on view.
- Theater boxes: the arena places boxes F–J atop section 130 and boxes A–E atop section 144.
- Suites: the Lower Concourse Suites and Club Level Suites form two rings, which start at south center and are numbered counterclockwise, the reverse of the section numbering.
Stage shows and Mammoth lacrosse
End-stage concerts
On the sample concert map the arena publishes, the stage is set at the east end, the floor is filled with sections facing it, and the soundboard sits toward the west end. Stage position and floor layout change from show to show, per the arena, so rely on the map attached to your event.
- Face the stage: the west end, which means lower sections 110–116 and club sections 214–218. Floor sections near the soundboard usually hear the best mix.
- Closer, but angled: the sideline sections nearest the stage, 128–130 on the north side and 144–146 on the south.
- Avoid: sections 134–140 behind the stage, which are normally closed or sold with a limited-view warning.
- Upper level: odd-numbered sections facing the stage, roughly 319 to 323, take in the full stage and lighting rig from the rail.
Colorado Mammoth lacrosse
For lacrosse, the arena's map shows no 300-level seating and a floor Party Zone at the west end. Benches flip from hockey: the Mammoth sit at 148 and the visitors at 102.
Wheelchair locations and elevator banks
Ball Arena spreads wheelchair and accessible seating across every level. The arena's seating-chart page lists these standard locations, which may shift with the event layout:
- Floor: depends on the event.
- Lower level: 102 and 106, 120, 130, 144, and the east-end block 134 through 140.
- Club level: sections 216, 236 and 256 in the 200 ring.
- Upper level: twelve front-balcony sections, namely 305, 311, 317, 327, 333 and 339, then 345, 351, 357, 367, 373 and 379.
The arena's accessibility guide lists three elevator banks serving all concourses: one in the Grand Atrium (by sections 106, 206 and 311), one in the East Atrium (by 140, 250 and 367) and one by sections 122, 226 and 335. Drop-off for guests with disabilities uses the rideshare zone in the 4Runner West lot. The UCHealth Nursing Suite, near section 132, is wheelchair accessible as well. Review the arena accessibility guide before you go. Reserved Seat orders include guaranteed entry.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between odd and even 300-level sections at Ball Arena?
Odd sections (301–379) make up the front balcony, with one to three rows each. Even sections (302–380) sit behind them and rise to about row 15 or 16, so an odd section is usually the closer seat.
Where is center court at Ball Arena?
On the south side, where sections 102 and 148 meet. Every level starts its numbering there and runs clockwise, per the arena.
Where is seat 1 in a Ball Arena row?
On your right when you are seated facing the floor. Rows count up from row 1 at the bottom of each section.
Which end do the Avalanche attack twice at Ball Arena?
The east end, behind sections 134–140 in the lower bowl. East-end corners such as 132 and 142 give a close, diagonal view of that net.
Are glass seats at Ball Arena worth it for hockey?
Up close they are thrilling, yet the low view through the glass makes the opposite zone hard to read. Lower-level rows in the teens give a better view of the full rink.
Which Ball Arena sections have wheelchair seating?
In the lower bowl, 102, 106, 120, 130, 144 and the 134–140 block; in the club ring, 216, 236 and 256; upstairs, twelve front-balcony sections. Floor locations vary by event.
