Denver Nuggets Tickets

Upper level: odd sections sit low · club 200s are only about 4 rows

Odd-numbered 300s sit at the rail and even ones climb behind them. That and a few other rules make Ball Arena easy to shop for a Nuggets game.

Upcoming Denver Nuggets dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Nuggets seats that earn their price

For a Denver Nuggets game, buy a lower-bowl sideline seat in row 10 or higher for the best view, or a 200-level club seat if you want a centered look without courtside money. In the upper level, remember one rule: odd-numbered 300s sit at the front of the deck, even-numbered 300s sit higher behind them. An odd sideline section is the budget seat to target.

  • Big-night splurge: courtside.
  • Best overall view: lower sidelines, row 10 and up.
  • Special-occasion value: the shallow club ring, about four rows deep.
  • Budget pick: odd-numbered sideline 300s.
  • Seats to skip: even-numbered 300s behind the baskets.

The building holds 19,520 for basketball, and Denver hosts 41 home games between late October and mid-April.

How Ball Arena's tiers and numbers work

Known as the Pepsi Center from its October 1, 1999, opening until the October 2020 rename, the arena stands at 1000 Chopper Circle on the west edge of downtown. Kroenke Sports & Entertainment owns it along with its three tenants: the Nuggets, the NHL's Avalanche and the Mammoth of pro lacrosse.

100 level

The lower bowl. According to RateYourSeats, the team benches face sections 102 and 148, and the sideline around those numbers carries the most demand.

200 level

A thin middle band, usually four rows deep, whose tickets open the club concourse. Because the sections are so shallow, every seat is near the front. For an all-inclusive experience, Club Lexus is the top premium option.

300 level

The upper deck, with the odd-even split. On a flat map, 335 and 336 look like neighbors. In the building, one is at the front edge while the other sits well up the deck. Check which you are buying before you compare prices.

Courtside, corners and the far rows

  • Courtside: the premium tier. The flat angle shows the near side in thrilling detail and the far side less well.
  • Right behind a bench: standing players can fill your sightline during runs and timeouts.
  • Lower-bowl corners: the full court on a diagonal, priced below center court. A strong compromise.
  • Baseline: good for action at your end, weak for the far basket, and the stanchion (the hoop's support) can block the lowest rows straight behind it.
  • Even 300s behind the baskets: the most distant seats in the building.

One Denver-specific note: Denver is roughly a mile above sea level (about 5,280 feet), so lowlanders may get winded walking up to the last rows. Give yourself time, and drink water.

Ball Arena dates that go fast

After exhibition games in early October, the Nuggets play an 82-game slate, half in Denver, from late October until mid-April. November brings NBA Cup group play, a feature since 2023–24, mostly on Tuesdays and Fridays, and those results go into the standings. Then come the play-in round and a postseason that can last until June.

  • Past postseason foes and the West's top teams: a playoff history makes the building louder and the tickets scarcer.
  • Star visitors: the biggest names in the league tend to bring their own traveling fans.
  • Weekends and late December: end-of-week games and the holiday stretch.
  • Playoffs: home dates sell quickly, and resale prices swing with each result.

For the most choice, shop midweek games against East opponents in the heart of winter.

RTD light rail, Toyota-named lots and the bag ban

The Ball Arena/Elitch Gardens station sits beside the arena on RTD's D, E, H and W light rail lines; buses stop at 9th Street and Auraria Parkway. Each parking lot is named for a Toyota model, from Camry and Corolla to 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, RAV4 and TRD-Pro, and the arena says lots open three hours ahead. Rideshare drivers use 4Runner West, at 5th and Walnut. Tailgating is technically allowed in the lots, though the arena does not encourage it.

The arena's published policies are stricter than most:

  • Bags: no ordinary bags of any size. A diaper or medical bag within 14 inches by 14 inches by 6 inches is allowed once inspected at specific doors. Rent a locker in the Grand Atrium for anything else.
  • Digital everything: tickets and parking passes are both digital.
  • Kids: anyone 3 and older needs a Nuggets ticket.
  • Doors and re-entry: doors generally open an hour ahead, and once you exit you stay out.

From the Denver Rockets to a 2023 banner

Denver's pro basketball story began with the ABA's Rockets in 1967. The Nuggets name came in 1974, and two years later the team was one of four ABA clubs absorbed into the NBA. Today it competes in the West's Northwest Division.

  • ABA years: the Denver Auditorium Arena first, then McNichols Sports Arena starting in 1975.
  • 1980s: Doug Moe's fast, high-scoring teams starring Alex English. Moe's win total is honored with the retired number 432.
  • 1999: McNichols gave way to the new downtown arena.
  • 2000s: Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson led regular playoff teams.
  • 2023: in their first Finals, the Nuggets beat Miami four games to one and clinched at home, joining San Antonio as the only former ABA clubs with an NBA title.

Nikola Jokić, picked 41st in the second round, owns three MVP trophies, and nobody drafted lower has ever won the award. Other Hall of Famers who played in Denver include Dan Issel, David Thompson and Dikembe Mutombo. Seven numbers are retired in all.
