The Austin area's arena, formerly the Cedar Park Center
The H-E-B Center at Cedar Park is a city-owned arena at 2100 Avenue of the Stars, beside the 183A Toll Road in Cedar Park, north of Austin. It is home to the Texas Stars, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, and the Austin Spurs of the NBA G League, and it books concerts, AEW and WWE NXT wrestling, comedy and family shows. It holds up to 8,700 people, with 6,778 for hockey.
The arena opened in 2009 as the Cedar Park Center. On April 22, 2016, the Texas grocery chain H-E-B took the naming rights and it became the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. The building and sections did not change, so older Cedar Park Center seat maps still apply, and most people now just say HEB Center.
The quick seat answer: for hockey or basketball, sit in the center sections 106–107 or 117–118. Every regular seat is in a single lower bowl, so even the back rows are close.
HEB Center seating layout
The arena is a single bowl of 100-level sections around the floor, with a suite and loge level above it. Section numbers here come from the arena's A–Z guide, the Texas Stars and Stadium Journey's review, which agree on the layout.
- Center sections: 106 and 107 on one side, facing the benches and center logo, and 117 and 118 on the other side, behind the benches.
- Club seats: sections 106 and 107, with in-seat service and access to the club lounge.
- West End: sections 112–114, behind one goal. Since the 2019–20 season, a row of glass seats sits against the boards here.
- Other end: Stadium Journey describes 122, 101 and 102 as general-admission sections farther from the court at Spurs games.
- Suite and loge level: above the bowl, served by three elevators, with suites for groups of 16 to 70 and standing-room loge tickets at some events.
For Austin Spurs games, Stadium Journey reports that sections 109 to 115 behind one end are closed and that floor-level tables sit behind each baseline.
Best seats for Texas Stars hockey, Spurs basketball and concerts
Texas Stars hockey
Center ice in 106–107 or 117–118, about ten rows up, gives the best read of the whole rink and both benches. The West End glass seats in 112–114 put you against the boards: thrilling when play is in that zone, hard to follow when it is at the far end. Rows a few above the glass see over it, which suits fans who want to watch passing plays develop.
Austin Spurs basketball
The same center sections are best. Crowds are smaller than for hockey, so general-admission and lower-priced end sections give a perfectly good view, and courtside floor seats are available.
Concerts
The arena publishes separate maps for end-stage, half-house and general-admission floor setups. With a GA floor, standing near the center is closest; the raised side sections nearest the stage are the best seated view, and the sections facing the stage show the full production.
Seats to think twice about
- Glass seats for a first hockey game: close but low, with the far end hard to see.
- Sections directly beside or behind a concert stage: check for partial-view notes.
- Low rows behind the hockey goals: the net and the glass cut into the view.
Parking and getting to Cedar Park
The HEB Center has more than 2,600 parking spaces on site. As of 2026, parking is credit card only, prices vary by event, and buying in advance on the arena's site or Ticketmaster is cheaper. General parking is included in the ticket price for Texas Stars games.
- Premium lots: Premium Lot B, next to the East main entrance, and the Premium Circle in front of it, both limited.
- Accessible parking: Lots B, F and G. Disabled veterans and Purple Heart recipients with valid plates park free.
- Rideshare: drop-off is in the circle drive in front of the East main entrance, reached from the 183A frontage road.
- From Austin: take US 183 north onto the 183A Toll Road; the arena's three entrances are on the southbound frontage road.
There is no rail service to the arena, so plan to drive or use rideshare, and allow extra time on the frontage road after a sold-out concert.
Bag policy, re-entry and house rules
As of 2026, the HEB Center asks guests to use clear bags or bring none. Its A–Z guide allows clear bags up to 16 by 8 by 16 inches with no tint; for small non-clear bags, the guide gives two different limits (5 by 9 by 2 inches in one place, 4.5 by 6.5 inches in another), so check the current policy before you go. Diaper and medical bags are exceptions.
- Re-entry: not allowed at most events. At Texas Stars games, you can scan out and back in.
- Cashless: parking, the box office and concessions take cards only, and there is no will call.
- Doors: usually 60 minutes before the event.
- Strollers: not allowed in seating areas; check them at Guest Services behind section 121.
- Smoking: only in the designated area on the event level across from section 104.
- Texas Stars extras: one cowbell up to 8 inches per person, hand-held signs up to 22 by 28 inches, and hockey sticks are allowed at hockey games only. The building runs cool, so bring a layer.

History of the H-E-B Center
Ground was broken on June 10, 2008, and the arena opened in September 2009 at a cost of about 55 million dollars; George Strait played the first event on September 25, 2009. Sink Combs Dethlefs designed it. The Texas Stars have played here since the arena's first season, and the Austin Spurs since 2010. The arena is operated by Texas Stars L.P., part of Northland Properties, which also owns the Dallas Stars.
Beyond sports, it has hosted AEW Dynamite in 2020, AEW Fyter Fest in 2021 and WWE NXT's Great American Bash in 2023, and on New Year's Eve 2023 it hosted the first arena taping of the Kill Tony podcast.
