Kauffman Stadium Seating Chart

Home plate: 126–129 and 420 · shade: Loge 300s, third-base Plaza

Four tiers, one rule: numbers climb from left field, past home plate, to right field. Then pick the third-base side or a covered row for shade.

Parking, bag policy, transit and history are on the main Kauffman Stadium guide.

Kauffman Stadium seats at a glance

On the Kauffman Stadium seating chart, every tier numbers its sections the same way: low numbers start in left field, the numbers rise down the third-base line, pass home plate and finish in right field. Home plate sits behind Field level sections 126–129 (with the six CommunityAmerica Crown Club sections in front of them), the UMB Diamond Club on the Plaza level, Loge sections 311–312 and View level 420. The Royals' dugout is in front of 136–139 on the first-base side and the visitors' in front of 116–119 on the third-base side, per the team's 2026 seating map and RateYourSeats.

The ballpark opened as Royals Stadium and took the Kauffman name in 1993. The section numbering has carried on, but the 2009 renovation changed seating areas, so use a current map rather than an old Royals Stadium chart.

  • Closest to the plate: Crown Club 1–6 and Diamond Club seats 126–129.
  • Royals side: 130–139 and Plaza 230–239.
  • Best shade: the Loge level, which sits under the upper deck, and the third-base Plaza sections.
  • Value view: View Box rows behind home plate, 419–421.

How the sections run, tier by tier

The ranges below come from the Royals' 2026 seating map, cross-checked against RateYourSeats' section directory. Seen from above with home plate at the bottom, the numbers run counterclockwise on every level.

Field level (100s)

  • 101–103: left-center field against the outfield wall; the team calls them Sonic Slam seats.
  • 104–106: left field, directly behind the visitors' bullpen.
  • 107–115: the left-field line toward third base.
  • 116–125: Dugout Boxes on the third-base side, with the visitors' dugout in front of 116–119.
  • 126–129: behind home plate, sold as UMB Diamond Club seats, with Crown Club sections 1–6 in the rows in front.
  • 130–139: Dugout Boxes on the first-base side, with the Royals' dugout in front of 136–139.
  • 140–148: the first-base line toward the right-field corner.
  • 150–152: right field, behind the Royals' bullpen. There is no section 149.

Plaza level (200s)

Directly behind and above the field seats. Sections 201–203 are in left-center beside the fountains, 206–225 run from the left-field corner to home plate, the UMB Diamond Club seats (A–F) fill the center behind the plate, 230–249 continue down the first-base line, and 250–252 sit behind 150–152 in right field. RateYourSeats calls 216–239 the Dugout Plaza.

Loge level (300s)

A shallow middle deck, 301 on the third-base side (where the Boulevard Craft and Draft area sits) to 325 on the first-base side, with 311–312 at home plate. The map marks 322–325 as Lexus Complete Seats.

View level (400s)

The upper deck, 401 in the left-field corner to 439 in right field, with 420 directly behind home plate. 401–402 are the Brew and View area.

Rows and seat numbers

The team's map does not print rows, so these come from RateYourSeats; check the row on your ticket.

  • Dugout Boxes: about 20 rows, lettered A–X, with row A closest to the field and the entrance at row X.
  • Plaza level: about 20 rows lettered with doubles, AA–TT, with entrances at both AA and TT.
  • Loge level: about 10 rows, A–J, with the tunnel at the top.
  • View level: long sections with two runs of letters. Section 420 runs H–V and then AA–ZZ; section 435 runs A–S and AA–PP. The tunnel sits near row J, so low rows mean walking down and high rows mean climbing. RateYourSeats groups View Box seats in rows A–L of 408–432 and View Reserved from row M up.
  • Outfield 150–152: short, rows A–D in section 151.

Seat numbers: RateYourSeats reports that the lowest seat number is on your left as you face the field. The team does not publish this rule and no second guide confirms it, so if an aisle seat matters, confirm the seat location before you buy.

The view from each tier

Field level

The Dugout Boxes have no deck above them, so the sightlines are open and close; netting runs along the infield, and low rows behind each dugout lose a little of the plate to players and the dugout roof. Sections 101–103 sit against the left-center wall, among the best spots for a home run ball, and 104–106 look straight into the visitors' bullpen.

Plaza level

The step up from the field seats makes it easier to follow the whole field, and the infield Dugout Plaza sections balance closeness with a full view. Seats far down the lines angle toward the outfield.

Loge level

Only about ten rows deep, the Loge gives a clean elevated look at the infield, the fountains and the Crown Vision board, which is why RateYourSeats rates it highly for families and for views from behind home plate.

View level

The highest seats still show the entire field and the fountain display. Sections 419–421 behind the plate are the best of the tier; the outfield ends, 401–407 and 433–439, are distant and angled toward the outfield.

Sun, shade and covered rows

Kauffman Stadium is open-air and faces northeast, so the sun sets behind the third-base side. ShadedSeats and RateYourSeats agree on the pattern:

  • Loge level: covered by the View level overhang; RateYourSeats lists every seat in sections such as 305, 311 and 320 as under cover.
  • Plaza level, third-base side: 217–225 shade by mid-game in afternoon starts, per ShadedSeats, and RateYourSeats notes the Dugout Plaza sits beneath the overhang.
  • View level: upper rows of 409–431 are under the roof; RateYourSeats puts the covered line at row MM in section 420. The ends, 401–407 and 433–439, are fully exposed.
  • Field level: the Dugout Boxes get little shade; the high rows of 123–125 near home plate are the first to lose the sun.
  • Outfield: full sun at day games. At an evening start, 150–152 and 250–252 in right field face the setting sun, per RateYourSeats.

At a night game, the sun is a factor only for the first inning or two, and the first-base side becomes an easy choice.

Best seats, seats to skip and other layouts

  • Best overall: middle rows of Dugout Boxes 120–125 or 130–135, high enough to see over the dugouts.
  • Best for a day game: third-base Loge sections 301–311 or third-base Plaza 217–225.
  • Best value: View Box rows behind home plate, 419–421.
  • Home run balls: 101–103 in left-center.
  • Bullpen watchers: 104–106 for the visitors, 150–152 for the Royals.

Seats to think twice about

  • Low first-base-side field rows in July and August: no overhang and full afternoon sun.
  • The View level ends: exposed and far from the plate.
  • Right-field seats at an evening start: the setting sun is in your eyes.
  • Back rows of long View sections: a steep climb from the row J tunnel.

The Royals also stage concerts at the ballpark. Stage position and floor layout vary by show, so use the event's own map instead of the baseball chart.

Crown Club, Diamond Club and social spaces

  • CommunityAmerica Crown Club, sections 1–6: the rows directly behind home plate at field level. Crown Club ticket holders can enter at Gate C two hours early.
  • UMB Diamond Club: behind home plate on the Plaza level, including Diamond Club seats 126–129 and boxes A–F, per the team map and RateYourSeats.
  • Edward Jones Dugout Suites: next to both dugouts.
  • Triple Crown, Signature and All-Star Suites: the suite levels behind home plate and down both lines.
  • Social spaces: the QuikTrip Fountain Deck in right field, Tavern Tables at 239–241, Boulevard Craft and Draft near 301, the Miller Lite Rail Seats and Fountain Bar Deck above left-center, and Rivals in right field.

Sponsor names change; the section numbers are the reliable guide.

Accessible seating and elevators

The Royals' ballpark guide says wheelchair locations with one companion seat are on every level, and the team's 2026 map marks them with a wheelchair symbol in dozens of sections, including the Diamond Club rows behind home plate and spots on the Plaza and View concourses. Key details as of 2026:

  • Buying: accessible seats are sold with single-game tickets, by phone in advance, and at accessible ticket windows at every gate on game day.
  • Elevators: near the escalators on both the first- and third-base sides, in the UMB Diamond Club lobby, and in the Royals Hall of Fame lobby behind section 206. Guests needing the 100 level must use the Diamond Club lobby elevators.
  • Sensory rooms: inside each dugout concourse, closest to the elevator.
  • Guest Services: Plaza level behind home plate, with a satellite office at section 420.

Check the guide before the game, since policies can change.
