Your Arrowhead seat decision in 30 seconds
If you want to sit close to the Chiefs, buy field-level sections 115 to 123, the home sideline. If you want the most field for your money, buy the upper-level Chiefs sideline, sections 321 to 327. Every section number here is taken from the stadium's own field-level and upper-level maps.
Three quick rules cover most choices:
- Sideline beats end zone at every level, because you read the whole field left to right instead of front to back.
- Height is not a penalty here. The upper deck is pitched steeply, so its sideline rows sit closer to the action than the same rows in most NFL stadiums.
- Low rows are not automatically better. On the sidelines, players and staff stand in front of the first rows for most of the game.
How the section numbers run
Arrowhead is one oval bowl stacked in three tiers. The 100 level (the field level, closest to the turf) and the 300 level (the upper deck) are both numbered in a single loop, and both loops begin at the visitors' 50-yard line. That means section 101 sits almost directly beneath section 301, and numbers rise clockwise around the stadium map.
Lower bowl, 101 to 136
- Visitors sideline: 133 to 136 and 101 to 105, with 136, 101 and 102 at midfield, on the Founder's Plaza Gate side.
- Chiefs sideline: 115 to 123, with 118 to 120 at midfield, backing onto the Tower Gate and the Hall of Honor.
- Gate C end zone: 108 to 112, centered on 110.
- Gate G end zone: 126 to 130, centered on 128.
- Corners: 106–107, 113–114, 124–125 and 131–132.
Upper deck, 301 to 346
- Visitors sideline: 342 to 346 and 301 to 306, centered on 346, 301 and 302.
- Chiefs sideline: 319 to 329, centered on 323 to 325.
- End zones: 310 to 315 at the Gate C end and 333 to 338 at the Gate G end, where the Drum Deck tops sections 335 and 336.
The middle tier, the 200 level, is the club ring. Its exact section range is not shown on the maps reviewed for this page, so this guide does not list one.
Lower bowl: rows, benches and end zones
The field-level bowl climbs gently. That gentle rake (the angle at which rows rise) makes low rows feel close but flat, so the row you buy matters as much as the section.
- Chiefs side, 117 to 121: the home bench sits right below you. In the first rows, that bench and the people on it block part of the near sideline. Rows in the middle of the section and higher see over them.
- Visitors side, 136, 101 and 102: frequently easier to buy than the home side, and you look straight across at the Chiefs bench and the Arrowhead crowd behind it.
- Corners: a good middle ground if you want field level without paying sideline demand. You still see both end zones at an angle.
- End zones, 108 to 112 and 126 to 130: skip the front rows. Goalposts, netting and camera positions sit in your line of sight, and plays at the far end are hard to judge.
Many lower sections are entered from a walkway at the top. A row near the field therefore means a long, steep walk down and back up. If you plan to visit concessions, ask for an aisle seat.
The 200-level club ring
The CommunityAmerica Club Level is a short ring of seats between the field level and the upper deck. You buy it for the setting as much as the angle: per the team, its concourses are temperature-controlled and open two and a half hours before kickoff, staying open about an hour after the final whistle. On a December night that is a real advantage.
Several named premium spaces anchor specific spots on the map:
- Chairman's Club, club level, Chiefs sideline.
- Champions Club, club level, above section 203.
- IMA Foolish Lounge, club level, east end zone.
- Kingdom Club, lower level on the Chiefs side, with its own entrance.
- FanDuel Terrace, lower level, above section 123.
- Ford Founder's Club, field level behind the visitors side near the Founder's Plaza Gate.
Club seats on the Chiefs sideline, section 219 for example, are among the highest-demand tickets for any regular-season game. If you want a similar sideline angle without club demand, the lowest rows of the upper-level sideline come closest.
300 level: steep, close, exposed
The upper deck is the reason Arrowhead suits budget-minded fans. Its steep pitch stacks rows up rather than back, so an upper sideline seat reads the field more like a high club seat than a distant perch.
- Pick: 321 to 327. The home sideline, with the full field in front of you and the Chiefs bench below.
- Pick: 344 to 346 and 301 to 304. The same view from the visitors side, often easier to find when a game is in high demand.
- Compromise: upper corners (307–309, 316–318, 330–332 and 339–341), which trade some angle for lower demand.
- Skip if you can: 310 to 315 and 333 to 338. These end-zone sections are the farthest seats in the building, with no canopy overhead and full exposure to wind and cold.
That steepness has a price of its own. Stairs in the 300s are sharp. If you dislike heights or want to limit climbing, choose a low row on an aisle, or use the accessible seating covered below.
On sun and shade, the published sources disagree about which compass direction the Chiefs sideline faces. The team describes the Chiefs-side Kingdom Club as being on the south side, while at least one shade guide puts the Chiefs bench on the west. Confirm with a current sun guide or the seller before choosing a seat for shade.
Stage and pitch layouts
Football is the default map, but Arrowhead also hosts summer stadium concerts, and it was a 2026 FIFA World Cup venue under the tournament name Kansas City Stadium.
Concerts with an end stage
The stage usually takes one end of the field, and the floor becomes general admission or temporary reserved seats. Your strongest reserved options are field-level corners and the low sideline sections nearest the stage, which face it at an angle. Sections behind the stage are closed or sold as limited view, and the upper end zone at the far end is the longest look in the stadium. The event map on your listing shows which end the stage uses.
Soccer
A soccer pitch fits the same rectangle, so the football logic holds: sections at midfield on either side see both goals equally, while end seats put you close to one goal mouth. End-zone seating was reduced for the World Cup layout, so an event map can differ from the football chart.
Wheelchair and limited-mobility seating
The stadium's accessibility page says ADA platform seating sits on raised platforms on each level, with TVs nearby and enhanced sightlines, for guests who use a mobility device or cannot use stairs. On the stadium maps, these platforms ring the top of the field-level bowl in all four corners, behind both end zones and along both sidelines, and run across the top of the upper-level Chiefs sideline.
- Limited-mobility seats are aisle seats in the last rows of select sections, with armrests that retract or lift out, for guests who can walk short distances.
- Companion seats next to accessible spaces are arranged through Chiefs Fan Experience, subject to availability.
- Elevators serve the whole stadium, with direct access from the Tower Gate and the Ticket Office gates.
- Courtesy carts start running three hours before kickoff on a first-come basis.
Policies can change, so review the stadium accessibility page before game day. Every Reserved Seat order carries guaranteed entry.
Frequently asked questions
Is the upper deck at Arrowhead Stadium too far from the field?
Not on the sidelines. The 300 level is unusually steep, so sideline sections such as 321 to 327 sit closer to the field than upper seats at most NFL stadiums. The end-zone 300s are the seats that feel distant.
Which side of Arrowhead is the Chiefs sideline on?
The Chiefs bench is on the Tower Gate and Hall of Honor side. Field-level sections 115 to 123 and upper-level sections 319 to 329 line that sideline, per the stadium's maps.
Where is the Drum Deck at Arrowhead?
The Drum Deck sits at the top of upper-level sections 335 and 336, in the Gate G end zone, according to the stadium's upper-level map.
Are front-row seats at Arrowhead worth it?
On the sidelines, the first rows sit behind players and staff who stand most of the game, which blocks part of the near side. Middle rows of a lower sideline section usually see more of the field.
What do you get with a club seat at Arrowhead?
The 200-level CommunityAmerica Club Level offers temperature-controlled concourses, bars and lounges that open two and a half hours before kickoff, per the team. The Chairman's Club on that level faces the Chiefs sideline.
Can I buy seats at Arrowhead without climbing stairs?
Yes. ADA platforms sit on each level, and limited-mobility aisle seats with removable armrests are in the last rows of select sections. Elevators run throughout the stadium.
