Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Sun or shade: the first choice to make

At Oracle Park, decide on temperature before anything else. Sunlight lingers longest on the third-base side and in the outfield, which makes them the warm choice for night games and cool afternoons. The first-base side turns shady by mid-afternoon, which suits a rare hot day game. Either way, bring a layer: bay weather can flip a pleasant afternoon into a cold, windy evening.

Home of the San Francisco Giants, the uncovered 41,331-seat park sits on McCovey Cove in China Basin, hosting games from the season opener in late March or early April until the final weekend of September, plus any playoff dates.

  • Warmest: third-base side and outfield.
  • Shadiest: along first base, behind the plate and in the back of the club tier.
  • Coldest at night: the upper deck behind home plate.

Five levels, mapped

Three decks of grandstand wrap from one foul pole to the other. Bleachers sit beyond the left-field fence, and in right field only a walkway separates the seats from the water. The Giants count five levels:

  • Field level (100s): numbering starts in the right-field corner, reaches section 116 behind home plate and continues through the third-base side into the 130s and 140s in left. Sections 105 through 126 count as infield; the first several rows of 107 through 124 are sold as the Field Club.
  • Promenade: the main concourse, open to every ticket holder and circling the park past the outfield.
  • Club level (200s): 202 through 233, all in foul ground and none deeper than 14 rows.
  • Suites: a private band above the clubs.
  • View level (300s): the top tier, facing the bay and the skyline.

According to seating guides, the Giants sit along third base (sections 121 to 123) and visitors along first (107 to 109). Check your listing's map to confirm before buying.

Seats by goal

  • The cleanest view: rows in the 20s to low 30s of section 116, directly behind the plate, a spot guides consistently praise.
  • Close to the home team: 121, 122 or 123, just over the Giants' dugout roof.
  • Splash-hit chances: the arcade, a strip of seats atop the tall right-field wall only 309 feet from the plate, closer than anyone else to balls headed for McCovey Cove.
  • Value with a view: 300-level seats behind the plate, where the diamond and the bay beyond it fill one frame. Dress warmly; it is the windiest part of the park after dark.
  • Shelter from sun or drizzle: club-level seats, most of which sit beneath the upper-deck overhang.

Where views fall short

In most field-level sections, row 30 and above sits under the overhang. That brings shade, but from about row 35 up, a high fly ball can vanish before it comes down. Netting screens the infield seats, approximately 105 through 126, which some fans notice more than others. And if you buy the upper deck for a night game in a T-shirt, you will regret it by the fifth inning.

Transit first: Muni, Caltrain and the ferry

Close to half the crowd arrives by public transit, and for most visitors it beats driving.

  • Muni Metro: light rail and buses serve the ballpark directly.
  • Caltrain: get off at 4th and King, a few blocks from the gates.
  • BART: ride downtown, then switch to Muni or walk.
  • Ferry: the China Basin landing puts you at the Marina Gate in center field.
  • Bicycle: the park offers dedicated bike parking.

Spaces near the park are scarce and gone early on Saturdays and Sundays. The big surface lot known as Lot A is being redeveloped as Mission Rock, with garage parking in the plan, so the map keeps changing. For 2026, book ahead and confirm current lots on the team site.

Bag size, coolers and gates

The 2026 limit is 16 by 16 by 8 inches for any bag. No backpack of any kind gets in, transparent or not, unless it serves a medical, accessibility or diaper-changing purpose. Soft-sided coolers are permitted and hard-sided ones are not. Outside alcohol, even non-alcoholic beer, stays out. You can rent bag storage at the Marina Gate.

  • Willie Mays Gate: Third and King.
  • Lefty O'Doul Gate: Third and Berry.
  • Marina Gate: center field, by the water.
  • Second and King: the fourth main entrance.

Doors open an hour and a half before first pitch Monday through Friday, and two hours or more on Saturdays and Sundays; giveaway dates may differ. Cash is not accepted at stands, but machines by sections 118, 144 and 313 swap bills for a card without a fee. See the Giants ballpark guide before you go. Every Reserved Seat order is backed by a 100% guarantee.

Waterfront extras and backstory

Families gravitate to the Coca-Cola Fan Lot past the left-field seats, where kids ride slides inside a soda bottle 80 feet tall and climb around a giant mitt. Out on the promenade, anyone walking by can peek through a screened gap in the right-field fence and catch some innings at no cost.

Four sponsors have put their names on the gate since Opening Day on March 31, 2000: Pacific Bell first, SBC from 2004, AT&T from 2006 and Oracle since 2019. Private money covered its 357-million-dollar cost, and no big-league park since Dodger Stadium (1962) had gone up without public funding. The right-field wall's 24 feet honor Willie Mays's number, Triples Alley in right-center reaches 415 feet, and by April 2025 Giants hitters had dropped 106 splash hits into the cove. October baseball arrived with Fall Classic games in 2002, 2010, 2012 and 2014; the park also hosted the 2007 All-Star Game and the championship round of the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
