Progressive Field Seating Chart

Behind home: 151–155 · shade: third-base side · value: 400s

Numbers climb from right field to left on every level, home plate sits at 151 to 155, and the former Jacobs Field chart still points to the same seats.

Parking, bag policy, transit and history are on the main Progressive Field guide.

Schematic Progressive Field seating chart: field sections 128 to 174 rise from the first-base line to the third-base line around 151 to 155 behind home, with outfield 175 to 185 and 101 to 125; 300s, 400s and 500s labeled.

The short answer on Progressive Field seats

The Progressive Field seating chart follows one rule on every level: section numbers start in right field, climb down the first-base line, pass behind home plate and keep climbing up the third-base line toward left field. On the field level that means section 101 beside the bullpens in right-center, home plate at sections 151–155, the Guardians dugout near 160–164 on the third-base side and the left-field bleachers at 180–185. The upper deck repeats the pattern, with 451–455 and 551–555 behind the plate.

For a Guardians game, the best all-around seats are the Field Box sections between the dugouts, roughly 146–160. For shade on a summer afternoon, favor the third-base side. For value, the 400-level View Box behind home plate puts you high above the plate without the climb to the top of the 500s.

If you are holding an old Jacobs Field seating chart, the bowl and its numbering are recognizable, but the 2015–16 and 2024–25 renovations replaced whole blocks of seats with bars, terraces and clubs, so use the current map for anything outside the lower infield.

Section ranges and direction, level by level

The ranges below come from the Guardians' official seating diagram for 2026, with RateYourSeats' section index agreeing on the numbers that exist.

Field level: 101–185

  • Right field: 101 (Lower Reserved Bullpen) sits next to the Guardians and visitors' bullpens in right-center; 103 and 107–113 (Lower Reserved) wrap the right-field wall; 117 and 125 fill the right-field corner.
  • First-base line: 128–138 (Lower Box) run toward the infield, and 140–148 are Field Box seats. The visitors' dugout sits in front of the low 140s.
  • Behind home plate: 149–155. RateYourSeats names 153 and 154 as the sections directly behind the plate. The Lexus Carnegie Club boxes sit in front of them at field level.
  • Third-base line: 156–164 are Field Box seats, with the Guardians dugout in front of 160–164. 165–174 (Lower Box) continue toward the left-field pole.
  • Left field: 175–179 sit in the left-field corner by the Home Run Porch, and 180–185 are the bleachers above the left-field wall, under the scoreboard.

200 level: suites

The numbers in the 230s–250s on the map are suites behind home plate and down the third-base line, not public sections.

300 level: Family Deck and Champions Club

In right field, sections 303–316 form the Cleveland Clinic Children's Family Deck. On the first-base side, sections 326–348 are the Discount Drug Mart Champions Club seats, with the club lounge behind them.

400 level: 403–478

Sections 403–427 are Upper Box Outfield seats along the right-field side, above the Pennant District. From 428 the 400s become the front rows of the upper deck, with View Box seats around 450–458 behind home plate and Upper Box seats running up the third-base line to 478 beside the left-field terraces.

500 level: 519–567

The upper deck starts at 519 in the right-field corner, reaches home plate at about 551–555 and ends at 567 past third base. There is no upper deck over left field.

Rows, seat 1 and where the covered rows start

Seat numbering. The Guardians' ballpark guide says that viewed from the top of a section, seats are numbered highest to lowest from left to right. Facing the field, seat 1 is at the right end of each row, which RateYourSeats and Ballpark E-Guides both confirm.

Field-level rows. Rows are lettered from the front, and after Z they double up (AA, BB and so on). Two guides agree that the infield Field Box sections run back to row HH. Some sections start partway through the alphabet because the front rows belong to premium boxes: RateYourSeats lists section 153 from row L and section 162 from row F, where row F is the first row behind the Guardians dugout. The bleachers run roughly 20 to 25 lettered rows; RateYourSeats lists E–Y in section 180.

Upper-deck rows. The 500s run from row A to row X, and Ballpark E-Guides calls row X the windy top of the ballpark. The 400s are the shorter front band below them; Ballpark E-Guides groups the View Box and lower Upper Box seats as the 400 level.

Covered rows. On the field level, the overhang covers the back rows: RateYourSeats puts the cover at row X and higher in section 142. In the 500s it lists rows P and up as covered in section 555. Treat both as section-specific, single-source notes.

Sun and shade at Progressive Field

The team's diagram puts north at the top with home plate in the lower-left corner, so the field faces roughly northeast and the afternoon sun drops behind the third-base and home-plate stands. That geometry matches what RateYourSeats reports: the third-base side gets shade before the first-base side.

  • Most shade, day games: third-base Field Box and Lower Box sections, 156–174, and the 500s on the same side, especially back rows under the roof.
  • Most sun: the first-base Lower Box sections (128–138), the right-field Lower Reserved seats and the Family Deck. Ballpark E-Guides adds that the club overhang shades the back rows of the first-base Field and Lower Box seats, and that the right-field corner is the last area to get shade.
  • Night games: Ballpark E-Guides says sun can sit in the eyes of fans in right field at dusk, and one passage in the same guide calls the third-base side the last to see shade, contradicting its other notes. RateYourSeats does not repeat that claim.

In April and May the logic flips: a sunny first-base seat is the warm choice by the lake.

Best and worst seats for a Guardians game

  • Best overall: Field Box sections 146–160, middle rows. You see the whole infield, both dugouts and the outfield wall.
  • Behind the Guardians: 160–164, from row F back.
  • Straight down the pitch: 151–155, and upstairs 451–455 and 551–555.
  • Best upstairs value: the 400-level View Box around 450–458. RateYourSeats calls the 500-level infield steep and recommends the 400s for fewer stairs.
  • Watching the bullpens: 101 and 103 in right-center.
  • Home run territory: the left-field bleachers, 180–185.
  • Families: the Family Deck, 303–316, near the Kids Clubhouse.

Seats to weigh carefully

  • Low rows of a shallow bowl: RateYourSeats calls the lower bowl very shallow, so a tall fan in front can block a child's view.
  • Back rows under the overhang: Ballpark E-Guides says rows from about AA up can lose the main videoboard.
  • The bleachers: benches with backs but no armrests, a railing in front of the first row, and the scoreboard directly behind you.
  • Corner sections 125 and 175: tucked into the foul-pole corners, facing the outfield, so you turn your head toward the plate all game.

The Guardians list sections 128–174 as behind protective netting or screening, roughly dugout to dugout and beyond, with coverage that varies by section.

The view from each level

  • Field level infield: the closest view of pitch speed and footwork, with the shallow rake as the trade-off.
  • Field level outfield: right-field Lower Reserved seats face the infield from behind the wall; the left-field bleachers sit high above the wall with a straight look at home plate.
  • Family Deck and Champions Club: a raised mezzanine view, from right field and from the first-base side.
  • 400 level: the front of the upper deck, high enough to read the whole field and close enough to follow the ball off the bat.
  • 500 level: the full field plus the downtown skyline over left field, at the cost of steep stairs.

Clubs, premium boxes and accessible seating

The current map shows these premium spaces: the Lexus Carnegie Club boxes directly behind home plate, a row of field-level dugout boxes (CL1–CL6) between the two dugouts, the SeatGeek Infield Boxes and Infield Lounge behind the first-base Field Box sections, the Discount Drug Mart Champions Club (326–348), the Echo Victory Club on the first-base side, and suites on the 200 level.

The Guardians' disability access guide lists accessible seating on every level, including:

  • Field Box Back: selected sections from 140 to 164.
  • Lower Box: 128–138 and 165–178 (selected sections).
  • Outfield and bleachers: 101, 103, 111, 113, 182 and 183.
  • 300 level: Club 328 and 344; Family Deck 304, 309 and 316.
  • Upper level: View Box 451, 453, 455 and 457, plus selected Upper Box, Upper Reserved and Upper Box Outfield sections.

The only elevator to the upper deck is at section 159. Seats for fans with visual impairments are behind the screened area. Check the Guardians' accessibility guide and the seating map and netting page before you buy.

Frequently asked questions

Sections 151–155 on the field level, with 153 and 154 directly behind the plate, plus 451–455 and 551–555 upstairs.

What is the view like from the Progressive Field upper deck?

The 400-level front rows give a full, raised view of the field; the 500s add the skyline but are steep, running to row X, with rows P and up covered in section 555.

Which side of Progressive Field is in the shade?

The third-base side, sections 156–174 and the 500s above them, gets shade first on afternoon games. The first-base side and right field stay in the sun longest.

Is the Progressive Field seating chart the same as Jacobs Field?
