Gas South Arena, the former Infinite Energy Arena
Gas South Arena is the 13,000-seat arena in Duluth, Georgia, about 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta off I-85, and the centerpiece of the Gas South District, Gwinnett County's convention and entertainment campus. It hosts arena tours, family shows, the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL, the Georgia Swarm of the National Lacrosse League, the Atlanta Vibe of Major League Volleyball and the state high school basketball and wrestling finals. The best seats for most events are the lower side sections, about 103–107 and 116–120; the 200-level club rows are the comfortable upgrade.
The building has had four names. It opened in 2003 as the Gwinnett Civic Center Arena, became The Arena at Gwinnett Center in 2004 and Infinite Energy Arena in 2015. On May 25, 2021, after Gas South acquired Infinite Energy, the whole campus was rebranded: Infinite Energy Center became the Gas South District and the arena became Gas South Arena. Searches, maps and older tickets still use the Infinite Energy name.
How the sections are laid out
Gas South Arena is smaller and simpler than an NBA or NHL building. Section numbers below come from RateYourSeats' section pages; row and seat conventions come from the venue's own seating-chart page.
Lower bowl: sections 100–122
Most of the arena's seats are in one deep lower bowl, which RateYourSeats calls the Concourse Level. Sections run up to about 27 rows, lettered A at the bottom through Z and then AA at the top. You enter from the concourse at the top, so a front-row seat means the longest walk down the steps. The side sections are roughly 103–107 on one side and 116–120 on the other; the ends sit between them, and section 100 and 122 meet near the main lobby.
200 level: the Club Level
Every 200-level section is part of the club, and each has only four rows, A through D, with padded chairs and easy access. The club has its own concession area, and around it sit about 30 corporate suites and two party suites, according to Stadium Journey.
300-level sections
A small group of sections numbered around 309–315 sits at one end. For most concerts they are behind or beside the stage, so they are often sold only for center-stage shows or as limited-view seats.
Seat numbers
The venue says seat 1 is on the right when you face the stage, so seat numbers climb toward your left.
Best seats for concerts and seats to avoid
For an end-stage concert, the floor straight back from the stage is the closest view, and the center floor sections are the premium. The lower side sections nearest the stage (around 103–107 and 116–120) give a raised view over the standing floor and are the best non-floor seats in the house. Sections across the arena, facing the stage head-on, show the whole production for less money, and because the arena is small, even the far end is not a long way from the stage.
Seats to think twice about
- The 300 sections and the lower sections tight beside the stage: you will see the side of the set and lose the screens.
- Low floor rows on the sides: close, but the speaker stacks and the stage edge block the angle.
- Rows A–C of the lower bowl in a full house: good views, but a long climb to the concourse at intermission.
The 200-level club is the easy pick for anyone who values comfort and short lines over closeness; with only four rows per section, every seat in it is near the front of its ring.
Hockey, lacrosse and basketball
Gladiators hockey
The ECHL season runs from October into spring, with many games on Friday and Saturday nights and weekend afternoons. Center-ice lower sections along the sides are the best view; about ten rows up clears the glass. Stadium Journey reports that the Gladiators sell general-admission seats in the end sections, which makes the ends the low-cost choice and a common spot for youth hockey groups.
Swarm lacrosse
Box lacrosse is fast and played on a rink-sized floor with high glass. Pick a sideline seat high enough to see over the glass to the far crease, roughly the middle of the lower bowl.
Basketball and volleyball
For the state high school finals, college events and Atlanta Vibe volleyball, the lower sideline sections are best; the ends work for following one team. Basketball capacity is 12,750.
Parking and getting to Duluth
Nearly every fan drives. The arena sits on Sugarloaf Parkway a few blocks from I-85 exit 108, and arena guests park in Lot A and Deck 2. As of 2026, the venue lists an event-day rate per vehicle charged on entry, with rates varying by event and starting about two hours before the start time. Payment is by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay only, and prepaid passes are sold with event tickets. Valet is offered at some events.
Stadium Journey notes that the campus has only two main entrances and exits, so traffic backs up after a sellout; arriving early and parking near an exit saves time on the way out.
Rideshare and transit
Rideshare, taxi and limo pickup is in Lot A5 outside the arena. Ride Gwinnett runs the county bus system, but Stadium Journey reports no direct public transit to the district itself; check Gwinnett County transit information before relying on it.
Clear bag policy and entry
As of 2026, Gas South Arena enforces a clear bag policy. A clear bag, purse or drawstring bag may be no larger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches, and any bag that is not clear must be smaller than about 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Backpacks are not allowed; diaper bags and medically necessary bags are permitted after screening.
- Doors: usually one hour before the event.
- Re-entry: not allowed, apart from medical or emergency situations.
- Payment: the arena is cashless; only the ticket office takes cash.
- Strollers: checked at Guest Services, not taken to seats.
- Tickets: have your Ticketmaster tickets open on your phone at the gate.
Check the venue's A–Z guide before you go, since rules can change.
Accessible seating
Wheelchair, visual, hearing and limited-mobility seating is available in several areas and is sold first come, first served. Assisted listening devices should be requested two weeks ahead.
From Gwinnett Center to Gas South District
Gwinnett County broke ground in June 2001 and opened the arena on February 16, 2003, at a cost of about 91.5 million dollars, as part of a campus that also includes a convention center and a 708-seat theater. The Gladiators arrived the same year as the Gwinnett Gladiators and became the Atlanta Gladiators in 2015. The Georgia Swarm followed in 2016.
Notable events include the 2013 WNBA Finals, WWE and AEW television shows, UFC and Bellator cards and, in March 2026, the ACC women's basketball tournament. The 2021 rebrand to Gas South District renamed every building on the 118-acre campus at once.
