It is home to the Orlando Magic.
Orlando's arena, formerly the Amway Center
The Kia Center is the city-owned arena at 400 West Church Street in downtown Orlando. It is home to the Orlando Magic (NBA) and the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL hockey), and it is the region's main stop for touring concerts, wrestling and family shows. It holds 18,846 for a Magic game. The best basketball seats are the lower sideline sections 105–106 and 114–115; for a strong view at lower cost, the front of the balcony at center court (209 and 225) is the pick.
The building opened in 2010 as the Amway Center. On December 20, 2023, it was renamed the Kia Center under a partnership with Kia America. Section numbers and gates did not change, so an Amway Center seating chart still applies, and many locals still use the old name.
Kia Center seating layout: 100s, loge, club and 200s
Section numbers here come from the RateYourSeats section directory and the TickPick Magic seating guide, which agree on the layout.
100 level: sections 101–118
The lower bowl is compact, with 18 main sections plus small 109A, 110A and 111A cut-ins. Sections 105–106 and 114–115 face each other across midcourt, with 104 and 107 and 113 and 116 flanking them. The remaining sections wrap the ends behind the baskets.
Loge boxes and club seats
Loge boxes, lettered A through N, sit at court level with four- and six-seat boxes and in-seat service; boxes G and H are at midcourt. Club seats in sections C-A through C-F include access to the Chase Club Level. Wikipedia counts 1,428 club seats and 68 loge boxes in the building.
200 level: sections 201–232
The upper level, which TickPick calls the balcony, runs from 201 to 232. Sections 209 and 225 are its center-court sections, with 208 and 210 and 224 and 226 beside them. The lower rows of the balcony (TickPick singles out 207–211 and 223–227) are the ones to target: center-court angles at a fraction of lower-bowl demand.
Seat 1 in any section sits next to the adjacent lower-numbered section, so seat 1 in 210 is on the 209 side.
Best seats for Magic games, hockey and concerts
Magic basketball
For the full experience, sit in 104–107 or 113–116, the lower sideline sections TickPick calls the best bet for closeness. Middle rows are the sweet spot: high enough to see over courtside, low enough to hear the game. The end sections behind the baskets are cheaper but give you a foreshortened view of the far end. For value, the first rows of 207–211 and 223–227 put you at center court above the action, a much better seat than the price gap suggests.
Solar Bears hockey
Hockey capacity drops to 17,353. Center ice lines up with the same sideline sections, and the elevated rows of the lower bowl see over the glass better than the first few rows. ECHL crowds are smaller than Magic crowds, so the upper level is often not the only affordable option.
Concerts
Capacity is 16,486 for an end-stage show and 17,030 when the stage is in the center. For end-stage shows, the floor center and lower sides near the stage (104–107, 113–116) are the closest elevated views; 207 and 208 are the side-of-stage picks upstairs. Sections at the far end face the stage head-on and show the full production.
Seats to avoid
- Top rows of the 200-level corners: the steepest, farthest seats in the building.
- End-stage concerts, sections beside or behind the stage: partial views, and often not sold at all.
- Low rows behind the baskets: the stanchion and backboard sit in your sightline.
Kia Center parking and getting downtown
The garage next door
The ThreatLocker Garage (formerly the GEICO Garage) at 400 West South Street is attached to the arena, with accessible parking and elevators on every floor. As of 2026, the arena sells prepaid passes through Ticketmaster and the box office, with purchases due by 5 p.m. the day before the event. Re-entry is not allowed once you park, even on days with two shows.
Other garages
The 520 West Pine Street Garage (formerly the HD Supply garage) is about a five-minute walk. City-run options include the Garland Avenue Lot, the 55W Garage and the Central Boulevard Garage; city event parking is first come, first served and paid through ParkMobile. Rates vary by event.
Rideshare and transit
The arena directs rideshare drop-off and pickup to the corner of Hughey Avenue and Pine Street. The fare-free LYMMO downtown circulator's Grapefruit Line stops at the Kia Center and at SunRail, so a train-plus-LYMMO trip avoids the garages entirely when a big concert fills them.
Kia Center bag policy and entry rules
As of 2026, the Kia Center does not allow bags. Each guest may bring one small clutch of 4.5 x 6.5 x 1 inches or less. Medical bags and parent bags up to 14 x 14 x 6 inches are the exceptions. A clear stadium bag does not qualify, so plan to carry a phone, cards and keys in your pockets or a clutch.
- Re-entry: guests who leave are not readmitted without an unused, unscanned ticket.
- Strollers: prohibited at Magic games.
- Smoking: not allowed inside; designated outdoor areas vary by event.
- Accessible seating: wheelchair and companion seats are spread throughout the arena; select the accessibility filter when buying.
Check the arena's A–Z guide before you go, since rules change by event.
Capacity, history and big events

Construction began on July 25, 2008, and the arena opened on October 1, 2010, at a cost of about 480 million dollars, with Populous as lead architect. It was built with five concourses averaging 35 feet across. The arena hosted the 2012 NBA All-Star Game, NCAA tournament games in 2014, 2017 and 2023, the 2016 Royal Rumble, several UFC cards, and the WWE ThunderDome residency from August to December 2020.
