Orlando Magic Tickets

Kia Center · best view: center-court 100s · value: 200s sideline

Kia Center has a lower ring, a premium band and an upper bowl. Here is how to choose among them, and which rows to avoid, before you reserve Magic seats.

Upcoming Orlando Magic dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Magic seats sorted by priority

The best all-around seat for an Orlando Magic game is a center-court section in Kia Center's 100 level, in a middle row that sees over the courtside seats and benches. The best value is the first several rows of the 200 level along a sideline. Club seats, between the two, sit at a height many basketball fans consider ideal.

  • Closest: courtside, on the floor.
  • Best view: 100-level sideline, middle rows.
  • Best compromise: 100-level corners.
  • Most comfort: club seats.
  • Best value: 200-level sideline, front rows.
  • Skip: front baseline rows and the highest corner rows upstairs.

There are 41 home dates between October and mid-April, and a playoff berth extends the season into late spring.

Kia Center's lower ring, premium band and upper bowl

The building went up as the Amway Center, hosting its first event on October 1, 2010, and switched to the Kia name in December 2023. It succeeded the Orlando Arena, nicknamed the O-Rena, which housed the Magic for their first 21 seasons. Basketball capacity is 18,846, the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears share the building, and five concourses serve the crowd.

  • 100 level, sections 101–118. The ring nearest the floor, fronted by courtside rows.
  • Club and loge level. A premium band of club chairs, loge boxes and suites tucked beneath the upper deck.
  • 200 level, sections 201–232. The top seating bowl.

The numbering above is drawn from fan seat-view maps rather than the arena itself, so check your listing's map before paying extra for a location.

Weighing each Kia Center option

Courtside

The most exclusive seats in the building, close enough to touch the game. The low angle makes action at the far basket hard to follow.

Sideline 100s

A middle row at center court gives the most complete picture: both baskets, both benches and the flow of each possession. Demand stays strong whoever the opponent is.

Corner 100s

Close, angled toward both hoops and usually below sideline demand. For many fans this is the smartest lower-level buy.

Baseline 100s

The lowest-cost way downstairs. The glass and padded support interrupt your view whenever the ball is at your basket, so a middle row beats the first few.

Club seats

Their height shows spacing and set plays clearly, and the amenities make them an easy choice for client entertaining or a family's first game.

200 level

The first several sideline rows show the whole court clearly. Pass on the highest corner rows unless cost is all that matters.

Magic games that sell out first

The NBA calendar: exhibitions in October, 82 games that count from late October to mid-April (NBA Cup contests sprinkled through late fall), a play-in round, then four rounds of playoffs into June.

  • The Miami Heat. Florida bragging rights inside the Southeast Division produce the noisiest regular-season nights, with plenty of red-clad visitors making the trip up the turnpike.
  • Star-led visitors. Teams with national followings bring their own fans, lifting demand whatever the standings say.
  • Holiday and spring-break weeks. Theme-park visitors swell the pool of buyers.
  • Playoff games. The schedule firms up only days ahead, and seats vanish quickly.

Midweek visits from low-profile Western Conference clubs are the easiest buys. Lock in Heat and weekend games well ahead; routine weeknights often soften as tipoff nears.

Church Street arrival: SunRail, garages and rideshare

The arena's address is 400 West Church Street, at the western end of downtown and steps from the Church Street dining strip.

  • SunRail. The Church Street stop is roughly four minutes on foot. Because SunRail runs on a commuter timetable, the last regular train can leave before the final buzzer; special late runs have been added for some playoff dates, so verify the ride home for your game.
  • Parking. Event parking is in the GEICO Garage, and the adjacent ThreatLocker Garage holds the accessible spaces. Downtown lots fill on big nights.
  • Rideshare. Streets around the arena clog right after the buzzer; walk a few blocks before you request a car.

Current details are in the arena's A–Z guide.

The clutch-only bag rule and timing

Kia Center's bag policy is among the strictest in the NBA. The current guide permits a single clutch measuring 4.5 by 6.5 by 1 inches or less per guest; parenting and medical bags may be as large as 14 by 14 by 6 inches and go through X-ray. There is no re-entry, so once your ticket scans, you stay in. Check the current policy before you go.

Getting there roughly 45 minutes early leaves time for screening and the pregame show. Reserved Seat orders include guaranteed entry.

Lottery luck and two Finals runs

Orlando's first big-league pro team tipped off in 1989 and needed just six seasons to reach the Finals.

  • 1992. A lottery win brought Shaquille O'Neal with the top pick.
  • 1993. Lightning struck twice in the lottery; the Magic selected Chris Webber, then sent him to Golden State in exchange for Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway plus future picks.
  • 1995. O'Neal and Hardaway carried Orlando to its first Finals, which ended in a 4–0 loss to the Houston Rockets.
  • 2004–2009. Dwight Howard, the first pick in 2004, anchored a team of outside shooters that beat Boston and Cleveland on the way to the 2009 Finals; the Los Angeles Lakers won that series 4–1.
  • 2022. A third top pick, Paolo Banchero, became the center of the latest rebuild.

The Magic have not won a title. Lineups turn over, so look at the team's site before you buy around a specific player.

Frequently asked questions

Are club seats at Kia Center worth it?

For many fans, yes. They sit high enough to see plays develop and include club amenities, which suits business outings and first-time visits.

Which 200-level seats are best for a Magic game?

Front sideline rows give a complete look at the floor. Skip the uppermost corner rows unless budget rules everything.

Can I bring a purse into Kia Center?

Only if it is a clutch of 4.5 by 6.5 by 1 inches or smaller, per the current guide. Larger medical and parenting bags, up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches, are screened and admitted. Confirm before game day.

Will SunRail get me home after a Magic game?

Not always. The station is close, but the commuter timetable can wrap up before the game does; look up the last train for your date in advance.

Where is accessible parking at Kia Center?

Accessible spaces are in the ThreatLocker Garage beside the building; general event parking is in the GEICO Garage.

What was Kia Center called before?

Amway Center, from its 2010 debut until the Kia name replaced it in December 2023.
