Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Two stadiums, two seat calls
Arlington sits midway between Dallas and Fort Worth, and its two big ballparks are neighbors: the Dallas Cowboys play at AT&T Stadium, the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field, each with a roof that opens and closes. Your two main seat decisions:
- Cowboys games: the home bench lines the south sideline, roughly sections 109 to 112, and the visitors take the north. Seats in the 200-level clubs read the game better than the first rows of the 100 level.
- Rangers games: the Rangers sit in the first-base dugout. The most expensive seats are low and between the two dugouts; for value, go high behind the plate.
Because both roofs neutralize sun and rain, you can pick on view and budget rather than shade.
Inside AT&T Stadium: levels and sidelines
Built as Cowboys Stadium, the building debuted on May 27, 2009. Permanent seating covers 80,000 people, and standing platforms beyond each end zone can lift a crowd above 100,000. The roof retracts, the end zones are glass doors, and a video board roughly 160 feet across hangs above midfield.
Level by level
- 100 level: closest to the field, but the lowest rows sit nearly at turf height and flatten the view.
- 200 level (clubs): the best balance of height and distance for reading plays, with club amenities.
- 400 level: a long climb, but you see the entire field and the video board clearly.
Section-level detail lives on the AT&T Stadium Seating Chart page.
Beyond the Cowboys
Every season brings the Cotton Bowl Classic and, each December, the Big 12 title game. Add neutral-site college matchups, WrestleMania and the biggest stadium tours, and the calendar stays full; matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup were played here too.
Globe Life Field and the rest of the district
Globe Life Field
The Rangers moved into this park in 2020. It holds roughly 40,300, plays on artificial turf and has a roof with translucent panels. Within five seasons it staged a full World Series (2020, during the pandemic) and the 2024 All-Star Game, and in 2023 the home team won the franchise's first title. On closed-roof summer days, your seat choice is purely about angle and price.
Texas Live
This dining and entertainment complex, wedged between the two stadiums, opened August 9, 2018. Bars and restaurants ring an indoor hall built around a 90-foot screen, and an outdoor stage called Arlington Backyard fits around 5,000 under partial cover. A direct link from the ballpark's left-field gate makes it the natural pregame stop for either stadium.
Choctaw Stadium
The former Rangers home (1994 to 2019) was renamed in 2021. After the Renegades of the UFL departed following 2024, and North Texas SC following 2025, it entered 2026 without a full-time professional tenant; it now books high school football and one-off events.
College Park Center
UT Arlington's 7,000-seat arena, opened in 2012, serves the Mavericks' basketball and volleyball teams. It was also the WNBA home of the Dallas Wings from 2016 through 2026, before the Wings' planned 2027 move to American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Six Flags Over Texas
The theme park dates to 1961 and now runs all year, with Fright Fest in the fall through October and Holiday in the Park from late November into December.
Peak dates on the Arlington calendar
- March through September: Rangers season. The opener and summer weekends pull the largest crowds.
- August through January: Cowboys season, starting with preseason. The Thanksgiving Day game and home dates against NFC East rivals, the Eagles, Giants and Commanders, sell hardest.
- Late August through December: college matchups on neutral ground, capped by the Big 12 championship.
- Around New Year's: the Cotton Bowl Classic, which is part of the College Football Playoff in some years.
- November through March: Mavericks hoops on the UTA campus.
- All year: stadium concerts in spring and fall, Arlington Backyard shows and seasonal Six Flags events.
On a day when the Cowboys play and the Rangers have a postseason game or a stadium concert, the whole district gets congested; compare both calendars before you book. Resale is how most fans get into marquee games, and listings rise and fall with the matchup, the playoff race and the forecast.
No rail: trolleys, lots and rideshare
Public transit in Arlington is limited: no light rail and no regular bus routes. Plan your trip in advance. On arrival, the good news is that the two stadiums and Texas Live are a flat 5- to 13-minute walk from one another.
- Parking: roughly 12,000 spaces fill 15 numbered lots at AT&T Stadium, and additional lettered lots serve the ballpark. For the 2026 season, Cowboys lots open five hours ahead of kickoff, and tailgating is allowed on designated grass. Baseball lots open about two to two and a half hours before the first pitch.
- Arlington Trolley: on event days, free trolleys run from partner hotels to the stadiums and Texas Live, beginning about two and a half hours ahead. A hotel on the route is the simplest setup.
- On-demand rides: the city's Via-operated service runs six days a week, skipping Sundays, which rules it out for most Cowboys games.
- Regional rail: Trinity Railway Express trains stop at a station by DFW Airport; from there, finish with on-demand service or rideshare.
- Bags: the football stadium's 2026 rule is clear bags only, while the ballpark permits small soft-sided bags and prohibits backpacks. Review the AT&T Stadium bag rules and the Rangers' ballpark guide first.
Where to stay and eat around the stadiums
- Next to the stadiums: the Live by Loews hotel and Texas Live put you steps from both gates, and they sell out first on Cowboys weekends.
- Near UTA: the campus area around College Park Center has places to eat and stay and is a short drive to the stadium district.
- Dallas or Fort Worth: either works as home base, but bring a car or budget for rideshare, since no train serves the stadiums. The region's NBA and NHL teams, the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars, play at American Airlines Center; the Dallas–Fort Worth guide covers them.
Texas summer heat is intense even with the roofs closed, and plan for the walk from the lot. Reserved Seat orders include guaranteed entry.
Frequently asked questions
Which side is the Cowboys sideline at AT&T Stadium?
South. The home bench faces roughly sections 109 to 112, and visitors sit across on the north sideline.
Is the 400 level at AT&T Stadium worth it?
It is high, but it shows the whole field and the giant video board clearly. The 200-level clubs offer a better angle if your budget allows.
Which dugout do the Rangers use at Globe Life Field?
First base. The priciest seats are low between the dugouts, while high seats behind the plate are the bargain.
Can I take a train to a Cowboys game?
Not directly. There is no rail stop at the stadiums, so fans drive, call a rideshare, or catch the free event-day trolley from partner hotels.
Is the Cotton Bowl played in Arlington?
Yes. Since 2010 the game has been held at AT&T Stadium rather than at the old Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas.
Do the Dallas Wings still play in Arlington?
Through 2026 the Wings used College Park Center. Their 2027 season is planned for American Airlines Center in Dallas.
