Upcoming Texas Rangers dates
Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Rangers seats when the roof takes heat out of the equation
For most Texas Rangers games at Globe Life Field, the value pick is the upper level behind home plate, where you can follow pitch location and defensive positioning with the whole field laid out below. For a regular lower-level ticket, pick the infield between the two dugouts for the strongest blend of sightline and crowd energy. And if price does not matter, the Dugout Club is as close as the building gets.
Unlike at an open-air Texas park, you are rarely choosing a seat to escape the sun. Arlington's summer heat and regular storms are why the club chose a movable roof, and because its panels are transparent, daylight still fills the park when it is closed. That lets you choose on angle and budget alone.
- Best value: upper level behind the plate.
- Best regular lower-level seat: between the dugouts.
- Closest to the field: the Dugout Club.
- Lowest outlay: outfield seats, a few sections off center.
Dugout Club, lower bowl and upper level at Globe Life Field
The ballpark went up in 2020 next door to the old one, which now goes by Choctaw Stadium. Sources give different capacities, with Wikipedia saying 40,000-plus and Ballparks of Baseball saying 40,300. Seats climb in tiers over a synthetic turf field; the 100 sections use the main concourse, and everything from 200 up uses the upper concourse.
Dugout Club
Recessed seating that stretches from each dugout out toward the corners. Nothing in the park is closer to the grass, and nothing costs more.
Lower level
The Rangers occupy the first base dugout, with visitors on the third base side. First base is the side to choose if seeing the Rangers loosen up before the game and walk off afterward matters to you.
Upper level
Behind home plate, this is the best seat in the building for reading the game: you see where every pitch is located and how the defense shifts. It costs far less than the lower bowl.
Outfield
Usually the lowest-priced seats. A 58-by-150-foot screen hangs above right field, and a smaller one stands in left. The SkyPorch bar is in left field.
Videoboards, foul-pole corners and other seats to skip
- Seats directly under a videoboard. Replays are hard to see from right underneath. Shift a few sections toward left-center or right-center.
- Far upper-deck corners near the foul poles. You end up turned away from home plate, and the corner of the outfield below you drops out of sight.
- The roof, when it is open, tucks in above the third base seating. That does not block the field, but it is worth knowing which side of the park sits under the stacked panels.
None of these problems apply to the infield sections, which is why both the lower level between the dugouts and the upper level behind the plate are the safe buys here.
Astros weekends and the Rangers dates that sell first
Arlington gets 81 regular-season games on a familiar timeline: camp in February and March, a late March or early April opener, games into late September and a postseason for qualifiers in October. Spring games happen elsewhere, not in Arlington, so confirm the spring location on the team schedule if you want to see them.
On the resale market, these dates move first:
- Houston Astros series. In the Lone Star Series, with the Silver Boot as the prize, Astros fans drive north in numbers and the park fills. The two clubs have shared the AL West since 2013.
- Opening Day, one of the most requested dates of the season.
- Holidays and summer weekends, with July 4 and postgame fireworks at the top.
- Marquee opponents like the Red Sox, Dodgers and Yankees, who arrive with their own crowds.
April and May weeknights against teams outside the rivalry tier are the easiest buys, and listings for them frequently get cheaper as game time approaches; prices for rivalry and giveaway dates usually stay firm or climb.
Arlington by car: lots, rideshare and tailgating
Rail does not reach Arlington's stadium district, which lies between Dallas and Fort Worth, so most fans come by car or rideshare. The team also lists a trolley from participating Arlington hotels. The ballpark sits in the Arlington Entertainment District beside AT&T Stadium and Texas Live, the restaurant and hotel complex linked to the left field entrance, where most fans eat and drink before first pitch.
- Parking: as of 2026, lots are identified by letter and cost more the closer they sit to the gates. They open two hours ahead of a day game and two and a half hours ahead of a night game.
- Rideshare: drivers use a zone on Chapmans Cutoff, just south of where Stadium Drive meets Randol Mill Road.
- Tailgating: permitted in every lot but A, B and T, and only on the grass. You may tailgate from the time the lot opens through the second inning, then again for 60 minutes after the final out. Gas and charcoal grills are allowed; any other open flame is not.
Traffic is the wild card. If the Cowboys play or a concert is booked at AT&T Stadium the same day, expect jammed roads and full lots, so look at that venue's schedule before you buy and leave early when the dates collide.
Two bags, one bottle: Globe Life Field entry rules
The Globe Life Field guide lists these rules as of the 2026 season:
- Bags: each fan may carry two soft-sided bags, neither bigger than 16 by 8 by 16 inches. Backpacks stay home unless they are diaper, medical or Jr. Rangers bags.
- Food and water: outside food is fine if it fits in a clear quart bag, and each ticket holder may bring one sealed bottle of water, one liter at most.
- Gate times: an hour and a half before day games, two hours before night games, and different on special dates like Opening Day.
- Payment: the park is cashless. If you carry cash, kiosks that convert it to a prepaid card stand near sections 113, 123 and 136 on the main level and near 227 upstairs.
- Leaving and returning: permitted until first pitch, once doors are open.
- Smoking and vaping: banned throughout the ballpark.

Senators to champions: Ryan, Rogers and 2023
Washington was the starting point: the franchise entered the American League there in 1961 as an expansion club called the Senators, then relocated to Arlington following the 1971 season and opened 1972 as the Rangers. Three Arlington parks followed. Arlington Stadium served from 1972 through 1993; The Ballpark in Arlington, renamed Globe Life Park and now known as Choctaw Stadium, from 1994 through 2019; and Globe Life Field from 2020. The current park debuted on July 24, 2020, with an empty-stands 1–0 win against Colorado, and a few months later staged the entire 2020 World Series on neutral ground.
- Nolan Ryan joined in 1989 and, wearing a Rangers uniform, collected his 5,000th strikeout and 300th victory and added no-hitters six and seven.
- Kenny Rogers threw a perfect game in 1994.
- 2010 and 2011: consecutive pennants; San Francisco won the first World Series, and St. Louis took the second in seven games.
- 2023: Texas swept Baltimore, outlasted Houston in a seven-game ALCS and beat Arizona four games to one, finishing with a 5–0 win in Phoenix on November 1 for the first title in club history. Series MVP Corey Seager hit the game-tying home run in the ninth inning of Game 1, and Adolis García ended it in the 11th.
- 2024: the All-Star Game came to Globe Life Field.
Division crowns arrived in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2010, 2011, 2015 and 2016. The club has retired 34 for Ryan, 29 for Adrián Beltré, 26 for Johnny Oates, 10 for both Jim Sundberg and Michael Young, and 7 for Iván Rodríguez, along with 42 for Jackie Robinson. Two of those numbers are built into the outfield: center field is 407 feet, for Rodríguez, and left field is 329, for Beltré. Houston is the main rival, and the Los Angeles Angels are the longtime AL West foe.
Frequently asked questions

Recessed premium seats extending from each dugout toward the corners, the closest and most expensive tickets in the park.
