UCF's arena, formerly the CFE Arena
Addition Financial Arena is the University of Central Florida's on-campus arena in Knights Plaza, on the north side of UCF's main campus in east Orlando. It is home to UCF men's and women's basketball and the Orlando Valkyries pro volleyball team, and it books concerts, comedy, wrestling and commencement ceremonies. UCF lists basketball capacity at about 9,400. For a Knights game, the best seats are lower midcourt sections 106 and 115; the best value is 208, the midcourt section of the upper level.
The building opened on September 8, 2007, as the UCF Arena. It became the CFE Arena in May 2013 under a deal with the CFE Federal Credit Union, and when that credit union renamed itself Addition Financial, the arena changed names with it on May 1, 2019. Section numbers did not change, so an old CFE Arena chart still applies.
Seating layout: lower bowl, club and the 200 level
Section numbers here come from the RateYourSeats section directory and UCF Athletics' facility page.
Lower level: sections 101–118
The lower bowl holds about 7,000 of the arena's seats, which is why nearly everyone here sits close. Sections 106 and 115 face each other across midcourt, with 105 and 107 on one side and 113–114 and 116–117 on the other. A courtside club built on one baseline sits in front of sections 101–103; UCF says it replaced about 600 lower-bowl seats. The remaining sections wrap the ends.
Upper level: sections 201–212
The upper level is smaller, about 3,000 seats in sections 201–212. Section 208 is its midcourt section, with 207 and 209 on either side. Club-level seating is on the east side and includes access to the Black and Gold Club.
Suites and loge boxes
Wikipedia counts 16 luxury suites, loge box seating for 64, 500 club seats and 1,328 retractable seats, the last of which let the floor change shape for concerts and graduations.
Best seats for Knights basketball, volleyball and concerts
UCF basketball
Sit in 106 or 115 if you want the centered view, then the sideline sections beside them. Because the lower bowl is shallow, middle rows on the sideline feel close without the courtside crowd blocking your view. The student section, nicknamed the Knightmare, is the arena's noise source, and UCF credits it with throwing opponents off at the free-throw line, so seats near it suit fans who want energy rather than conversation. For a lower-cost seat with a full view, take the front rows of 207–209.
Demand is highest for Big 12 games against ranked teams. UCF's January 10, 2024, win over third-ranked Kansas drew 9,469 and ended in a court storming, and the arena record is 10,011 for a 2017 NIT quarterfinal.
Volleyball
For Orlando Valkyries matches, the same sideline logic applies: the center of the long side shows both halves of the court and the full rally.
Concerts
End-stage capacity ranges from about 7,900 to 9,800 depending on how far the seating wraps, according to the promoter figures cited on Wikipedia. The lower sideline sections closest to the stage are the best elevated seats; the floor is general admission at many shows. Sections next to or behind the stage are the ones to skip.
Addition Financial Arena parking on the UCF campus
The arena sits on campus near University Boulevard and Alafaya Trail, and event parking is in UCF garages and lots within walking distance. For basketball, UCF Athletics lists Garage D for general single-game and season parking and Garage F for donors and premium-seat holders with a pass. Other garages and surface lots open for big events, and the arena is cashless, so bring a card for parking.
- Arrive early: event passes are often required for the garages, and SeatGeek's arena guide advises extra time for larger events.
- Transit: some bus routes serve campus, but driving is the practical choice for most fans.
- Rideshare: designated pickup and drop-off points are set up on event days.
- Accessible parking: see the arena's accessibility guide for locations.
Parking rates and garage assignments change by event; check the UCF Athletics arena page or the event listing before you leave.
Bag policy and entry rules
As of 2026, the arena does not allow backpacks of any kind or bags larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches. Small hand-sized purses up to 5.5 by 8.5 inches are allowed, with or without a strap. Doors usually open one hour before the scheduled start.
- Re-entry: not allowed without buying another ticket.
- Smoking: UCF property is smoke-free, including e-cigarettes and vapes.
- Prohibited: outside food and drink, coolers, cameras with detachable lenses, selfie sticks, tablets and laptops, and signs over 11 by 17 inches.
Rules can change by event, so read the arena FAQ before you go.
