Best seat: centered, inside the main sound coverage

Zach Top's show is about the singing and the picking, so the best ticket puts you square to the stage with a clean sound mix, wherever he plays.

Upcoming Zach Top dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

The Zach Top seat rule: sound first

Pick a centered seat with a clear line to the stage and the sound system, and do not overpay for raw closeness. Zach Top plays neotraditional country (music that follows the fiddle-and-steel sound of late-1980s and 1990s country rather than today's pop-country), and his show runs on vocals and a working band. A balanced mix from the middle of the room beats a front-corner seat beside a speaker stack.

  • Theater: center orchestra, or the front of the first balcony for value.
  • Amphitheater: reserved seats under the pavilion roof.
  • Arena: lower-level side sections near the stage.
  • Fair or festival: center grandstand seats.
  • Avoid: listings marked side stage or limited view, unless the discount is steep.

Matching the seat to the room he is playing

An artist moving up as fast as Top often plays theaters, amphitheaters, fairs and festivals in the same year, so read the venue on each listing before you choose.

Theaters and music halls

Almost every seat is close. The center of the orchestra (the main floor) sounds best, and the first rows of the balcony are often a smarter buy than the far edges of the main floor.

Amphitheaters

The covered pavilion is where the band sounds clearest. The lawn, unassigned grass behind the pavilion, works for groups and casual listeners; get there early to sit near the front.

Arenas

Raised side sections close to the stage give you a clear view of the players. A standing floor suits fans who want to two-step; seats far back on a level floor see the least.

Fairs and festivals

Many sell a general-admission area in front of the stage along with reserved grandstand seating. For a long day, a grandstand seat near center is the safe call.

Ranch kid, family bluegrass band, Nashville

Zachary Dirk Top was born September 26, 1997, and grew up on a ranch in Sunnyside, Washington. He started out playing bluegrass with his siblings in a family band called Top String. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder for a year, left to play music, kept playing bluegrass into his twenties, then relocated to Nashville in 2021. Two years later, in September 2023, the new independent label Leo33 announced him as its flagship artist.

If you know George Strait, Keith Whitley or Randy Travis, you know the touchstones. His shows sound closer to that era than to current radio.

Two albums, a Platinum plaque and a Grammy

Carson Chamberlain, who once led Keith Whitley's band, produced both albums.

  • Cold Beer & Country Music, April 5, 2024: the Platinum-certified debut, with "Sounds Like the Radio" and "I Never Lie," a No. 2 hit on Billboard's Country Airplay chart.
  • Ain't in It for My Health, August 29, 2025: a No. 11 debut on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Top Current Country Albums, led by "Good Times & Tan Lines."
  • 2025 honors: New Male Artist of the Year from the ACM and New Artist of the Year from the CMA.
  • 2026: the first-ever Grammy for Best Traditional Country Album.

Side releases include Me & Billy, three tracks recorded with Billy Strings, and Good Girls & Cowgirls, a pair of songs issued in August 2026.

Inside the show and the tours so far

Top plays guitar on stage, and the bluegrass background shows in the playing. Critics have pointed to the humor in his songs and the tight arrangements. The ballads are old-school, and audiences tend to listen; the uptempo songs get people dancing.

  • 2025, supporting Dierks Bentley on the Broken Branches Tour: large amphitheater and arena crowds.
  • 2025, Cold Beer & Country Music Tour: his first headline run.
  • 2026, Cold Beer & Country Music Tour: a second headline run under the same name.

Why Zach Top dates sell quickly

  • Capacity is tight. A fast-rising artist in a theater or club sells out quickly, and resale picks up the overflow.
  • Awards bring new fans. The 2025 ACM and CMA wins and the 2026 Grammy each widened his audience, and demand for dates already on sale tends to rise afterward.
  • Presales open first. Fan-club and promoter presales usually come ahead of the general on-sale.
  • Weekends sell first. Friday and Saturday nights usually go before weeknights.

On the resale market, prices may land over or under face value and tend to shift in the run-up to the show. Each Reserved Seat order is protected by a 100% guarantee. Tour announcements appear on zachtop.com.
