Upcoming events in Los Angeles

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Choosing seats in LA: start with the neighborhood

The best seat in Los Angeles is the one you can reach on time. The region's venues sit in clusters miles apart, so before you compare sections, confirm which cluster the ticket sends you to. Once that is settled, a few simple calls cover most events: a midfield seat under SoFi Stadium's canopy, a lower-level sideline seat for the Lakers, a center bench at the Hollywood Bowl.

  • Inglewood: SoFi Stadium, the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome, all within walking distance of one another.
  • Downtown and Elysian Park: Crypto.com Arena at L.A. Live, with Dodger Stadium a few miles north.
  • Hollywood and West Hollywood: the Hollywood Bowl, the Hollywood Palladium, the Greek Theatre in Griffith Park and the main comedy clubs.
  • Pasadena and Anaheim: the Rose Bowl stadium, Angel Stadium and Honda Center.

The city will host the 2028 Summer Olympics, its third Games, so expect renovation work and event-day changes at some venues as that date approaches.

Team by team: home buildings and where to sit

  • Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers (NFL): both play at SoFi Stadium, opened in Inglewood in 2020 with 70,240 seats in standard setup. A translucent canopy shades the seats, and the open sides let air move through. The Rams began in Cleveland in 1936 and own two Super Bowl titles; the Chargers came back from San Diego in 2017. A sideline seat between the 20-yard lines is the standard recommendation. SoFi is scheduled to stage the Super Bowl (Super Bowl LXI) in February 2027.
  • Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB): Dodger Stadium opened in 1962 in Elysian Park and seats 56,000, more than any other big-league park. Infield seats between the bases see every play; the outfield pavilions are the casual, cheaper end. The Los Angeles Angels play at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
  • Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) and Los Angeles Kings (NHL): both are tenants at Crypto.com Arena, opened in 1999 under the Staples Center name. The WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks share it. For basketball, the lower sideline beats seats behind the baskets; for hockey, look near center ice.
  • Los Angeles Clippers (NBA): moved in 2024 to Intuit Dome in Inglewood. Its best-known feature is The Wall, a 51-row block of baseline seats set aside for Clippers fans who want to stand and make noise.
  • Anaheim Ducks (NHL): home games at Honda Center.
  • Soccer: LAFC and Angel City FC play at BMO Stadium, and the LA Galaxy play in Carson at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Demand runs deepest for Lakers games and weekend Dodgers dates. A Clippers game is usually the more available NBA ticket in town.

Concert seats: arenas, stadiums and the Hollywood Bowl

Arenas

Crypto.com Arena holds about 20,000 for concerts and has hosted the Grammy Awards more often than any other building. The Kia Forum, a round arena from 1967 once called the Fabulous Forum, reopened in 2014 after a music-focused renovation and seats about 17,500 for shows; its circular shape keeps side seats closer to an end stage than in many rectangular arenas. Intuit Dome, with 18,300 seats, opened with Bruno Mars concerts and books tours across genres.

Stadiums

Stadium tours play SoFi Stadium or the Rose Bowl. At SoFi, the canopy keeps sun and rain off the seats. The Rose Bowl is a single open bowl with no roof, so for an end-stage show, a sideline seat facing the stage is the safer buy than the far end.

The Hollywood Bowl and smaller outdoor rooms

The Hollywood Bowl opened in 1922, seats 17,500 and serves as the Los Angeles Philharmonic's summer home; the 2026 season ran from June 20 through September 27. Boxes sit nearest the stage, and bench sections rise up the hillside behind them. A center bench gives you the shell straight on and usually costs less than a box, while a side box near the stage looks at the performers from an angle. Outside food is welcome at every Bowl event, so many people treat the night as a picnic. The Greek Theatre in Griffith Park, dedicated in 1930, holds about 5,900 and is operated for the city by ASM Global. The Hollywood Palladium, a 4,000-capacity ballroom from 1940 on Sunset Boulevard, is booked by Live Nation.

Stand-up and sketch: Sunset, Melrose and Franklin

The clubs that defined American stand-up in the 1970s still run the scene, and two of them sit less than a mile apart on Sunset, close enough to compare lineups before choosing.

  • The Comedy Store (8433 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood) opened in April 1972 in the former Ciro's nightclub building. Mitzi Shore ran it from 1973 until she died in 2018. You choose among three rooms: the 450-seat Main Room, the 99-seat Original Room and the small Belly Room.
  • Laugh Factory (8001 Sunset Boulevard) was founded by Jamie Masada in 1979 and seats about 300.
  • Hollywood Improv (8162 Melrose Avenue) dates to 1974 and was the second club in a chain that started in New York in 1963.
  • The Groundlings (7307 Melrose Avenue) is a 99-seat sketch and improv theater founded in 1974; Will Ferrell, Lisa Kudrow, Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy all performed in its company.
  • Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre on Franklin Avenue reopened under new management in September 2022.
  • Largo at the Coronet on La Cienega Boulevard has mixed music and stand-up in that space since 2008.

Check age limits and drink minimums on each listing, since rules vary by room.

Which months bring which events in LA

  • Late March into September: baseball with the Dodgers and Angels.
  • June into September: the Hollywood Bowl summer season.
  • September into January: NFL football at SoFi and UCLA home games at the Rose Bowl stadium.
  • October into April: the Lakers, Clippers, Kings and Ducks.
  • New Year's Day: the Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena, first played in 1902 and normally held January 1.
  • February 2027: Super Bowl LXI at SoFi.
  • All year: arena tours, comedy and, in season, MLS and NWSL soccer.

October can be the most crowded month, since baseball's postseason may overlap with the start of the NFL, NBA and NHL seasons.

Metro, shuttles and parking for each venue cluster

Traffic decides more LA evenings than any seating chart. Build in extra time, or use transit where it exists.

  • Crypto.com Arena: ride the Metro A or E Line to Pico station beside L.A. Live, which has restaurants and hotels facing the arena.
  • Inglewood venues: on event days, take the Metro C or K Line to the LAX/Metro Transit Center and board the game-day shuttle to SoFi. SoFi sells parking in color-coded zones with digital passes. When two Inglewood buildings have events the same night, the shared streets jam quickly.
  • Dodger Stadium: the Dodger Stadium Express leaves Union Station and is free with a game ticket, using a dedicated lane on Sunset Boulevard. Eat beforehand in Echo Park or Chinatown.
  • Hollywood Bowl: take the Metro B Line to Hollywood/Highland and catch the Bowl shuttle. On-site parking is scarce and stacked, which means your car can leave only when the cars around it do.

As of the 2026 season, Dodger Stadium permits clear bags up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches, and the Hollywood Bowl caps bags at about 15 by 15 by 22 inches. Check current rules before you go, and look up event service on LA Metro.

Advice for visitors planning an LA event trip

  • Sleep near the main event. Downtown hotels suit Crypto.com Arena and Dodger Stadium, Hollywood suits the Bowl, the Palladium and the clubs, and hotels near LAX are the short hop to Inglewood.
  • Plan the exit, not just the arrival. Rideshare queues after a stadium show can take a long time to clear, while the shuttles and the Dodger Stadium Express tend to move faster.
  • Read the venue name twice. The three Inglewood buildings are neighbors, but each has its own entrances and lots.
  • Arrive early at the Bowl. A pre-show picnic is part of the tradition.

Frequently asked questions

Are Hollywood Bowl boxes worth it over the benches?

Boxes put you closest to the stage, but a center bench a little higher up gives a straight-on view of the shell and usually costs less. Side boxes see the stage at an angle.

Which LA arena is easiest for an NBA ticket?

Clippers games at Intuit Dome are usually more available than Lakers games at Crypto.com Arena. Fans who want to stand and cheer can look at The Wall, the 51-row baseline section.

Is SoFi Stadium covered?

Yes. A translucent canopy covers the seats, while the sides stay open to the air.

Which comedy clubs are on the Sunset Strip?

The Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory both sit on Sunset Boulevard, less than a mile apart. The Hollywood Improv and The Groundlings are on Melrose Avenue.

How do you get to Dodger Stadium without driving?

Take the Dodger Stadium Express from Union Station. It is free with a game ticket and uses a dedicated lane on Sunset Boulevard.

Where do the Angels and Ducks play?

Both play in Anaheim: the Angels at Angel Stadium and the Ducks at Honda Center.
