Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Lakers seats ranked by what you get

The best all-around seat for a Los Angeles Lakers game at Crypto.com Arena is on a lower-bowl sideline, about 10 to 20 rows up. You see the full floor at a natural angle, the noise is close, and you avoid the flattened view of the first rows. Courtside is the splurge; the front of the 300 level at midcourt is the value play.

  • Courtside: the closest seats in the NBA's most famous celebrity row, and the first to go for big games.
  • Lower sideline: the best view for following the game.
  • Lower corners: both baskets on a diagonal, usually well below center-court demand.
  • Baselines: close to one hoop, with the backboard in your way for the other.
  • 300 level: the budget tier, best in its front sideline rows.

Home games run from late October to mid-April, 41 in all, with playoffs into June when the team advances.

Why the upper bowl sits so high at Crypto.com Arena

The arena at 1111 South Figueroa Street, part of the L.A. Live district, opened in October 1999 as Staples Center and became Crypto.com Arena on December 25, 2021. AEG owns it. Basketball capacity is 19,079. The Lakers share the floor with the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks; the Clippers left for Intuit Dome in 2024.

From the court up, the building stacks like this:

  • Event level and lower bowl. The lower bowl rises from the floor to the Main Concourse, with premier seats closest to the court along the sidelines.
  • Suite Levels A, B and C. Three rings of luxury suites, about 160 in total.
  • The 300 level. The upper bowl, entered from the Upper Concourse.

Those three suite rings are the key fact for buyers. They lift the 300 level well above the court compared with arenas that have a single suite ring, which is why row choice upstairs matters so much. Star Plaza outside holds statues of Lakers greats, including the 2024 statue of Kobe and Gianna Bryant.

Upstairs, downstairs: making the call

When the lower bowl is worth it

Pay for downstairs if the game itself is the point. A sideline seat in the middle third of the lower bowl shows spacing, defense and both benches. If the sideline premium feels too steep, a lower corner keeps you close at a noticeably lower cost.

When the 300 level makes sense

Upstairs works for a first visit, a family outing or a night built around the atmosphere. Stay near the front and near midcourt. A front-row 300 sideline seat beats a seat near the top of a 300 corner every time, even if the corner is technically closer on the map.

Seats to pass on

  • The lowest baseline rows, which look through the backboard and stanchion at the far end.
  • High rows in the upper corners, where the suite stack below leaves you far from the floor.

Which Lakers home games go first

Every NBA season follows the same rhythm: early-October preseason games, 82 regular-season games through mid-April (part of November is given to NBA Cup group play), a play-in round for the seventh through tenth seeds, and the playoffs into June.

The Lakers sell well against nearly everyone, so the useful question is what sells first:

  • Boston. The Boston Celtics rivalry is the league's oldest major one, with a dozen Finals meetings.
  • Golden State and other national draws. The Golden State Warriors and other star-led visitors bring traveling fans and national TV.
  • The Clippers. Since the LA Clippers moved to Inglewood, this is a true road trip for one side, and the edge is sharper.
  • Christmas and holiday weeks. The Lakers are a regular on the NBA's Christmas Day schedule, and holiday visitors fill the building.
  • Playoff games, which move within hours once a series is set.

Tourists build Lakers games into trips to Los Angeles, so weekends tighten faster than weeknights. November and December weeknights against smaller-market teams leave the most room to choose.

Pico Station, L.A. Live garages and the clutch rule

The easiest way in is Metro. Pico Station on the A and E Lines is a short walk from the arena, and both lines connect at 7th Street/Metro Center. Check LA Metro for late service after the final buzzer.

Drivers can use arena lots and garages, including the West and East garages and Lot C on L.A. Live Way, or private lots nearby. Shared events at L.A. Live slow everything down, so build in extra time on weekends.

The bag rule is one of the strictest in the league. As of the 2025–26 season, backpacks, purses, totes and even clear bags are refused; only clutches and wallets under 5 by 9 by 1 inches get in, with exceptions for medical and parenting needs. The arena is also cash-free. Review the arena's A to Z guide before you leave. Reserved Seat orders include free shipping.

Minneapolis to Figueroa: 17 banners

The club started in 1946 as the Detroit Gems of the National Basketball League. A year later it moved to Minneapolis and became the Lakers, a nod to the Land of 10,000 Lakes, and it kept the name when it came west for the 1960–61 season. Its Los Angeles homes have been the Memorial Sports Arena (1960–1967), The Forum in Inglewood (1967–1999), today the Kia Forum, and the downtown arena since 1999.

  • Minneapolis, five titles. The franchise's first dynasty.
  • 1972. The first Los Angeles championship.
  • Showtime. Five titles in the 1980s with Magic Johnson's fast-break teams under owner Jerry Buss, including Finals wins over Boston in 1985 and 1987.
  • 2000–2002. Three straight with Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant; the 2000 title was clinched at home downtown.
  • 2009 and 2010. Back-to-back crowns, the second over Boston and again won on the home floor.
  • 2020. The 17th title, which matched Boston's total at the time.

Fourteen numbers are retired. In October 2025 the league approved Mark Walter's purchase of a majority stake at a reported 10 billion dollar valuation, with Jeanie Buss staying on as governor. Rosters change, so check the team's lineup before you buy around a player.

Frequently asked questions

Is courtside worth it at a Lakers game?

Courtside is the closest and most recognizable seat in the building, but a lower-bowl sideline seat 10 to 20 rows up shows more of the game. Courtside is about the experience as much as the view.

Why do 300-level seats at Crypto.com Arena feel so high?

Three rings of suites sit between the lower and upper bowls, lifting the 300 level above the court. Front rows near midcourt are the best upstairs choice.

Can I bring a clear bag to Crypto.com Arena?

No. As of the 2025–26 season, clear bags, backpacks, purses and totes are all refused; only clutches and wallets under 5 by 9 by 1 inches are allowed, with medical and parenting exceptions. Check the current policy before you go.

Which Metro stop is closest to the Lakers' arena?

Pico Station, served by the A and E Lines, is a short walk from Crypto.com Arena.

Who else plays at Crypto.com Arena?

The NHL's Los Angeles Kings and the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks. The Clippers moved to Intuit Dome in 2024.

How many titles have the Lakers won?

Seventeen NBA titles: five in Minneapolis and 12 in Los Angeles, the latest in 2020.
