Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Brooks & Dunn seat strategy by venue
At an amphitheater, buy a seat in the covered pavilion; in an arena, buy a lower-level section angled toward the stage. Those two choices give you a clear look at both Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, who trade lead vocals and move around a lot. The duo plays arenas, amphitheaters (outdoor venues with a covered seating area and a lawn behind it) and rodeos, and each of those rooms changes the math.
The value seats are the lawn and the arena upper level, which work fine for a dance-along crowd that mostly wants to hear the hits.
Arena floor, pavilion, lawn and rodeo seats
- Arena floor, first 15 rows: the closest seats in the building. Farther back, the flat floor puts you behind standing fans, and the lower bowl often sees more.
- Arena lower level, angled to the stage: the best mix of sightline and sound for most buyers.
- Amphitheater pavilion: reserved seats under the roof, close enough to read both men's faces.
- Amphitheater lawn: general-admission grass behind the pavilion. It is relaxed, inexpensive and good for dancing, but the screens carry most of the view.
- Rodeos and fairs: the stage often stands on a dirt arena or infield built for livestock events, which can put reserved seats farther from the performers than at a regular concert. Check whether your ticket includes grounds admission.
- Skip: side seats past the stage line and anything marked obstructed, unless the listing explains the view.
Two voices and a line-dance favorite
The show works on contrast: two distinct singers with different stage styles, trading songs over a band that blends honky-tonk and rock. "Boot Scootin' Boogie," the 1992 single credited with reviving line dancing across the US, usually gets the whole room moving, and "Neon Moon" becomes a mass singalong.
Younger country fans have found the catalog through two duet albums. Reboot (April 5, 2019) remade the hits with artists including Luke Combs and Kane Brown, and Reboot II (November 15, 2024) brought in Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, Halestorm and Marcus King. Do not count on any of those guests appearing; that changes by night.
How the partnership started
Kix Brooks was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1955, and Ronnie Dunn in Coleman, Texas, in 1953. Each had charted solo when Tim DuBois of Arista Nashville proposed a pairing in 1988. Brand New Man arrived in 1991, and its first four singles all went to No. 1: the title song, "My Next Broken Heart," "Neon Moon" and "Boot Scootin' Boogie." No country duo or group had done that before. Twenty Hot Country Songs No. 1s followed in total, and "My Maria" and "Ain't Nothing 'bout You" finished as the year's top country songs for 1996 and 2001.
They hold the record for Country Music Association awards. Wikipedia gives the total as 20 in one place and 21 in another, including 16 Vocal Duo of the Year wins and the 1996 Entertainer of the Year honor, which the Academy of Country Music also gave them that year. Their 30 ACM awards rank second to Miranda Lambert, and they have two Grammys. The Country Music Hall of Fame inducted them in 2019.

Two generations of buyers
The audience mixes fans who owned Brand New Man on cassette with listeners who came in through the Reboot records, so demand runs broader than for most heritage acts.
- Summer weekends sell first. Friday and Saturday amphitheater shows go early, with the lawn usually last.
- Presales take the front. Fan-club, venue and credit-card presales come ahead of the general sale and absorb much of the closest inventory.
- Late resale favors the back. Prime floor and pavilion seats keep their value, while lawn and upper-level seats often ease as the show approaches.
Every Reserved Seat order is backed by a 100% guarantee.
