Upcoming Katy Perry dates
Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Runway first: how Katy Perry's staging moves the best seats
When Katy Perry plays an arena, the safest seat is a lower-level sideline section. It looks down on the main stage, any runway and the video wall, and it catches the flying effects without forcing you to crane your neck. If being physically close to her is the goal, look at floor sections that border the runway, not just the rows at the foot of the main stage.
That is because her productions do not stay at one end. On the Lifetimes Tour (2025), a runway shaped like an infinity symbol curled across most of the floor, so fans along it were often nearer to her than the front rows. Each tour is built differently. On your listing's map, look for a runway, a B stage (a compact second stage away from the main one) or floor blocks shaped around a catwalk.
Katy Perry seat zones, ranked for a runway layout
- Lower-level sideline: takes in the stage, the runway, the LED wall and the aerial moments at once.
- Lower level facing the stage: dead center on the screens and big props, and usually close to the mixing desk, where sound is strongest.
- Floor along the runway: the closest you will get when she walks out. The flat floor means short fans in the back rows can lose the main stage.
- Upper level, front rows near center: the value tier. Big props and flying effects read well from height.
Katy Perry seats that lose the view
The riskiest seats flank or sit behind the main stage, where video towers and rigging hide large parts of the set. Buy there only when the listing spells out what you will see. High upper-level corners are also weak, since the angle flattens the LED wall and the runway disappears under the rail.
If you are bringing children, aim for a block of seats together early. Plenty of parents bring kids to her shows, and side-by-side seats get harder to find as a show approaches.
From Teenage Dream to 143
Perry was born October 25, 1984, and comes from Santa Barbara, California. "I Kissed a Girl," a No. 1 single from 2008's One of the Boys, made her a star. Two years later, Teenage Dream produced five US No. 1 singles, a record for a woman on a single album: the title track, "California Gurls," "Firework," "E.T." and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)." Then Prism (2013) brought "Roar" and "Dark Horse," and her latest album is 143 (2024).
With estimated sales above 151 million records and seven RIAA diamond certifications, she ranks among the best-selling music artists ever. Guinness counted 118.5 million US viewers for her Super Bowl XLIX halftime show (February 2015, with guests Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott), and in June 2026 she sang at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony at SoFi Stadium.
LED walls, game levels and a flying butterfly
The Lifetimes Tour is a good model of how she stages an arena. The main video display was made of 31 LED panels tilted at odd angles. A large butterfly flew over the crowd and a transforming orb appeared during the set. Like a video game, the show moved through "levels," and in one segment the audience picked a song by scanning a QR code and voting.
Expect costume changes, large props and a run of hits most of the room knows. The production is built for the whole arena, which is why a raised seat in the bowl often shows more of it than a floor seat.
Hello Katy to Out of Office: tours and the Play residency
- 2009, Hello Katy Tour: eight months on the road and her first headlining world tour, for One of the Boys.
- 2011 to 2012, California Dreams Tour: a candy-colored production inspired by The Wizard of Oz and Lewis Carroll's Wonderland; MTV's European awards voted it the year's top live act in 2011.
- 2014 to 2015, Prismatic World Tour: close to 2 million tickets and still her top-grossing tour.
- 2017 to 2018: Witness: The Tour.
- 2021 to 2023, Play: nearly two years in residence at Resorts World Las Vegas, built on oversized props and a knowingly camp concept.
- 2025, The Lifetimes Tour: from April 23 through December 7, 91 arena dates across five continents sold about 1.05 million tickets. American stops included the United Center, Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum, the Honda Center and Chase Center.
- From June 18, 2026, Out of Office Tour: a smaller run that began at Spain's O Son do Camiño festival in Santiago de Compostela.

Katy Perry demand: gaps, families and weekends
- Long gaps concentrate demand. More than six years passed between Witness: The Tour and Lifetimes, with the Vegas residency between, and pent-up interest lands on the first on-sale.
- Presales go first. Fan registration and promoter windows come before the public sale, and the floor seats next to the runway tend to disappear in them.
- Big cities and weekends sell through first. Weeknights usually leave more choice.
- Families buy in blocks. Groups of adjacent seats stay in steady demand.
On resale, prices float above or below face value and change as the date nears. A 100% guarantee covers every Reserved Seat order. Announcements come from Katy Perry's official site.
Frequently asked questions
Is the front row the closest seat at a Katy Perry concert?
Not always. When the tour uses a floor runway, as Lifetimes did, seats along that runway may put you nearer to her than the first rows at the main stage.
Which Katy Perry seats should I avoid?
Seats flanking or behind the main stage, unless the listing explains the view, and high upper-level corners, where the angle cuts off the runway and video wall.
How many tickets did the Lifetimes Tour sell?
About 1.05 million across 91 arena shows between April 23 and December 7, 2025, on five continents.
Where was Katy Perry's Las Vegas residency?
Her residency, Play, was at Resorts World Las Vegas. It opened December 29, 2021, and closed November 4, 2023.
Is a Katy Perry show a good choice for families?
Many parents bring children, and her staging is bright and playful. Buy adjacent seats early and check the venue's age policy for young children.
