SIX the Musical Tickets

Broadway ends Jan 3, 2027 · center orchestra or front mezz · 80 min

A pop concert by Henry VIII's six wives, staged straight out to the crowd. Here is how to choose a seat for its final Broadway months or on tour.

Upcoming SIX dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Concert seating logic for the six queens

SIX is staged like a pop concert facing straight out, so the best seats are the middle rows of the center orchestra or the front of the mezzanine at the Lena Horne Theatre on West 47th Street. The center orchestra puts you in the concert, with all six queens in their staggered line in view. The front mezzanine shows off the arena-style lighting from above, and the room is small enough that faces stay sharp.

Time matters as much as location. The production has announced its last Broadway performance for January 3, 2027, after a run that began on October 3, 2021. A North American tour carries on, with dates listed into June 2027.

Lena Horne Theatre seats, the good and the clipped

The Lena Horne, called the Brooks Atkinson Theatre from 1960 until 2022, is a Herbert J. Krapp design that opened in 1926. It seats about 1,069 on two levels, the orchestra and one mezzanine. SIX uses a fixed set with the band on stage, so very little scenery gets in the way.

  • Front orchestra rows: right in the energy and in the queens' eyeline, though you look up at a steep angle.
  • Middle orchestra, center: the full concert picture, and the seats most people want.
  • Front mezzanine: a top pick for the lighting, with clear faces in a house this size.
  • Rear mezzanine: the value option, and still workable here.
  • Far side seats: a queen at the end of the line can be partly blocked.
  • Rear orchestra under the overhang: the mezzanine above cuts off the top of the lighting rig, which is part of the show.

Henry VIII's wives take the mic

In SIX, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr return as pop stars and compete over which of them suffered most at Henry's hands. Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss wrote the music, book and lyrics as students, and the show debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2017. It reached London's West End in January 2019 and still plays there. An all-female band, the Ladies in Waiting, performs on stage. "Ex-Wives," "Heart of Stone" and "Haus of Holbein" became streaming favorites, and the Broadway cast album entered Billboard's cast album chart at number 1.

An opening night that took 19 months

Broadway previews began at the Lena Horne on February 13, 2020. Opening night was set for March 12, 2020, the same day every Broadway theater went dark for the COVID-19 pandemic. Previews resumed on September 17, 2021, and the show officially opened on October 3, 2021.

The 2022 Tony Awards gave Marlow and Moss Best Original Score and Gabriella Slade Best Costume Design, and the cast recording drew a 2023 Grammy nomination. For the closing stretch, original London queens Natalie Paris and Aimie Atkinson joined the Broadway cast in August 2026, and a filmed version, SIX The Musical Live, arrived in US movie theaters on August 14, 2026.

Eighty minutes, loud and fast

The show runs 80 minutes without an intermission, one of the shortest musicals on Broadway and easy to fit around dinner. The Broadway production recommends ages 10 and up and does not admit children under 5. Be in your seat on time; there is no break to catch up.

Expect a concert: loud music, bright lights, and a cast that invites the audience to join in. The lyrics carry innuendo and refer to beheading, infidelity and abuse of power, all with a comic edge. Preteens who already stream the songs tend to love it, and the length makes it a strong first Broadway outing.

Final Broadway weeks and the road company

With the closing announced, the remaining Broadway dates, especially Thanksgiving through New Year's and the final weekend, should draw more demand than an ordinary winter. Friday and Saturday evenings and weekend matinees are steady sellers, while Tuesday through Thursday evenings this fall offer the widest choice. A digital lottery and day-of standing room when sold out absorb a little of the last-minute demand. On resale, the date moves prices more than the seat does.

Touring began in 2022 with two companies, the Aragon and Boleyn tours. As of October 1, 2026, the current route runs from Baltimore's Hippodrome in late October 2026 to the Lexington Opera House in Kentucky in late June 2027, with San Francisco, Seattle and Edmonton along the way. Many stops last only a few days, so the best center seats go early, and in a big touring hall the front of the first balcony often beats the back of a deep orchestra.
