Upcoming Tame Impala dates
Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Tame Impala seats: dance or watch
The first question for a Tame Impala ticket is whether you want to move or to watch. If you want to dance, buy the general-admission floor (standing space with no assigned spot). If you want to take in the lighting and video production, buy a lower-bowl seat facing the stage. The band is not a choreographed act, so being close matters less here than at a pop show; height and a straight-on angle matter more.
- To dance: GA floor, front half for intensity, back half near the soundboard for balanced sound.
- To see the full production: lower bowl facing the stage.
- To spend less without losing much: upper level, center.
- To avoid: behind-stage and limited-view seats.
How each part of the arena plays
The GA floor
The bass hits physically up front, and the crowd near the stage packs in tight. Toward the back of the floor, near the mixing desk, the sound evens out and you are still standing inside the light show rather than looking at it.
Lower bowl, facing the stage
Often the best seat in the house for this band. You look straight into the full lighting rig and see how the effects wash over the floor and ceiling.
Lower bowl, sides
Near the band, but at a steep angle the screens and lighting lose their shape. A section set a little back from the stage is the better compromise.
Upper level, center
A stronger choice than it is for most acts, because the extra height lets you see the whole production at once. Stay near center rather than in the corners.
Layouts vary, so confirm the stage position on your event's map.
Kevin Parker's project, on record
Tame Impala is Kevin Parker. He started it in 2007 as a home-recording project in Perth, Western Australia, and in the studio he still writes, plays, records and produces the music himself. The albums: Innerspeaker (2010), Lonerism (2012), Currents (2015), The Slow Rush (2020) and Deadbeat, issued on Columbia Records on October 17, 2025, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
Australian radio station Triple J's listeners voted "The Less I Know the Better" first in the Hottest 100 of the Decade in 2020. A "Dracula" remix featuring Jennie gave the project its first US top-ten hit. Grammy voters have honored it twice for Best Dance/Electronic Recording: "Neverender" with Justice in 2025 and "End of Summer" in 2026. Parker has also worked beyond his own records; he co-wrote and produced Dua Lipa's Radical Optimism.
The six-piece touring band
On the road, Parker leads a six-piece band: Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Cam Avery, Julien Barbagallo and James Ireland join him, swapping between guitars, synthesizers, bass, drums and vocals. Songs open up live, with extended instrumental passages and a heavy low end that the dance-leaning Deadbeat material pushes further.
Shows of this kind rely on lighting and video more than on movement across the stage. That is why seat height and angle carry more weight than row number, and why the upper level is a reasonable buy for this band.
The Deadbeat Tour and earlier runs
Each album has brought a long touring cycle, broken up by festival headline slots.
- 2015–2018: the Currents Tour.
- 2019: named a Coachella headliner in January of that year.
- 2020: billed to headline Primavera Sound, the second Australian act given that slot.
- 2020–2023: The Slow Rush Tour.
- 2025–2027: the Deadbeat Tour, 91 concerts in five legs from October 27, 2025, to July 10, 2027, played mainly in arenas. It has visited Barclays Center, the United Center and The O2 in London, and at Moody Center in Austin it sold more tickets than any previous show in that building. As scheduled in fall 2026, an Australian leg runs in October 2026 and a UK and European leg from May to July 2027. Openers have changed by leg, among them Justice, Djo, Dominic Fike and Wet Leg.

Resale limits and ticket timing
Deadbeat Tour tickets have gone on sale mainly through Ticketmaster, with presales before each leg's public on-sale. On the 2026 North American leg, the band used Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange, which capped resale on that platform at the original purchase price. Restrictions like that can affect transfer and delivery on some dates, so read the listing's delivery notes before you buy.
Beyond that, demand behaves predictably. Weekend shows and big cities sell first, and a nearby festival appearance can draw fans away from a headline date in the same region. Secondary-market prices can climb or ease as the show nears. Reserved Seat orders carry no digital transfer fees. For announcements, see tameimpala.com.
Frequently asked questions
Should I get floor or seats for Tame Impala?
Choose the GA floor if you want to dance and feel the bass. Choose a lower-bowl seat facing the stage if you want to see the full lighting and video production.
Who is in Tame Impala's live band?
Kevin Parker tours with Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Cam Avery, Julien Barbagallo and James Ireland, a six-piece lineup in all.
When did the Deadbeat Tour start?
It began on October 27, 2025, and is scheduled across five legs through July 10, 2027, mostly in arenas.
Is the upper level good for a Tame Impala show?
Center upper-level seats work better than usual here, because the show leans on lighting and video that read best from above. Avoid high corners and behind-stage seats.
Can Tame Impala tickets be resold?
It depends on the date. The 2026 North American leg used Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange, which limited resale there to the original price, so check each listing's terms.
