Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Where to sit when the band uses three stages
For a Coldplay stadium show, the strongest seated view is a lower-level sideline section facing the runways. That angle keeps the main stage in front of you, lets you track the band as it walks out to the smaller stages, and puts the glowing floor in the same frame. On the floor, a spot near the B-stage or C-stage gets the band close for part of the night, often with less crush than the front of the main stage.
Coldplay is a British band that plays stadiums almost exclusively, and its most recent tour sold more tickets than any concert tour in history. Stadium layouts differ, so check the seating map on your event.
Main stage, satellite stages and the upper deck
- Floor at the main stage: the most intense area, under the confetti and the full video wall. Usually standing room and tightly packed.
- Floor at the B-stage or C-stage: a B-stage is a smaller platform out in the crowd, reached by runway; the C-stage sat deeper in the venue. Both bring the band to you for part of the set.
- Lower sideline facing the runways: the best seat for following the band between stages while seeing the crowd.
- Upper deck, center: the band looks small, yet this is where the wristband patterns read clearly across the bowl. A high seat gives up less here than at most stadium concerts.
Think twice about low rows right beside the main stage, where the structure can cut off the screens, and any seat sold as behind the stage or limited view unless the listing says what you will see.
Wristbands, kinetic floors and a four-act set
The show turns the crowd into part of the lighting. Pollstar credits Coldplay as the first artist to use LED wristbands at concerts: light-up bands handed to the audience and controlled from the production desk, so every tier glows on cue. Fireworks, lasers and confetti cannons fill the rest of the night.
On the Music of the Spheres tour, three round stages were linked by runways. Behind the main stage stood an arched screen roughly 44 meters across, flanked by two circular screens and inflatable LED spheres. The set moved through four acts, Planets, Moons, Stars and Home, and the last included an acoustic set on the C-stage. Kinetic floors and stationary bikes let fans generate some of the show's power, part of an environmental plan the band says cut emissions 59 percent against its previous stadium tour.
Records broken on Music of the Spheres
The tour opened March 18, 2022, at Estadio Nacional in San José, Costa Rica, and paused September 12, 2025, after a ten-night stand at Wembley Stadium in London. Across 225 shows, 80 cities and 43 countries, roughly 13.1 million people attended, a record for any concert tour. Along the way:
- US multi-night stands in East Rutherford and Chicago in 2022.
- About 1.4 million tickets sold in one day for the second European leg, at the time the fastest sale by a band.
- More than 111,000 people on each of two nights at Narendra Modi Stadium in India in January 2025.
When checked on October 1, 2026, the band's site showed no upcoming shows; Wikipedia called the tour paused and expected it to resume in 2027. Consider that unconfirmed until the band posts dates on Coldplay's website; anything that goes on sale will show in this page's event list.
Earlier Coldplay tours and big nights
- 2000 to 2003: the Parachutes Tour and the A Rush of Blood to the Head Tour.
- 2005 to 2007: the Twisted Logic Tour, with Coachella and Austin City Limits on the route.
- 2008 to 2012: the Viva la Vida and Mylo Xyloto tours.
- 2014: Ghost Stories, a brief run in small rooms such as the Beacon Theatre in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
- 2016 to 2017: A Head Full of Dreams, with stadium dates including MetLife Stadium.
Coldplay also played the Super Bowl 50 halftime show and holds the record for Glastonbury headline sets, with five.
Four friends from London and 170 million records
Chris Martin (vocals, piano) and Jonny Buckland (lead guitar) met at University College London; with Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums) they formed the band in 1997, and manager Phil Harvey is credited as a member too. Parachutes (2000), with "Yellow," started a run that included A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), X&Y (2005) and Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008). Sales now top 170 million records. "My Universe," with BTS, from Music of the Spheres (2021), entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1, and Moon Music (2024) reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Presales, extra nights and the Infinity Ticket
- Registration presales lead. You register in advance, and by the public sale much of the inventory may be gone.
- Added nights spread demand. Once extra dates go up, resale tends to loosen, and later nights are often easier to buy.
- Infinity Tickets cannot be resold. The band's low-cost lottery tickets come in pairs, and seats are drawn at random and handed out at the box office the day of the concert.
- Weekend and final nights of a multi-night stand draw the most interest.
Reserved Seat backs every order with a 100% guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
Is the upper deck a bad seat for Coldplay?
Less than at most stadium shows. The LED wristbands make the whole crowd part of the light show, and the upper deck sees those patterns best.
What is a B-stage at a Coldplay concert?
A smaller second stage out in the crowd, reached by a runway. On the Music of the Spheres tour there was also a C-stage, used for an acoustic set late in the show.
Which Coldplay seats see all three stages?
A lower-level sideline seat angled toward the runways, which keeps the main stage and both smaller stages in sight.
Will Coldplay tour again?
No dates were posted on the band's site as of October 1, 2026, and the Music of the Spheres tour was described as paused after Wembley in September 2025. New dates will appear in this page's event list.
Can you resell a Coldplay Infinity Ticket?
No. Infinity Tickets are low-cost, non-transferable, sold in pairs, and assigned random seats at the box office on concert day.
