End-stage arena show · lower bowl facing the stage is the pick

Florence Welch never stands still on stage, and a seat facing the stage lets you follow her and the staging without losing the room.

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

The Florence seat decision at a glance

In North America, the band tours arenas with an end stage (the stage at one end of the building, everyone facing it). The safest strong choice is a lower-bowl section that looks straight at the stage. The general admission floor is the choice if you want to be inside the singalong rather than watching it.

The show rewards a full view. Florence Welch performs barefoot and covers the whole stage, and the 2026 production added a four-woman chorus moving in choreographed patterns. A seat that keeps all of it in frame beats a seat that is merely close.

  • Best overall: lower bowl, facing the stage.
  • Most energy: GA floor, ideally toward the front.
  • Best value: upper level, center.
  • Approach with care: lower-bowl seats at a sharp angle beside the stage.

Floor, bowl and upper deck, section by section

General admission floor

Standing room, first come, first served, and the loudest part of the arena during "Dog Days Are Over." The floor is flat, so anyone short or far back will see mostly the video screens.

Lower bowl facing the stage

The view the production is built for. Lighting, the painted curtain and the chorus's movement read as one picture instead of fragments.

Lower bowl along the sides

Close, but at steep angles the curtain and scenery can cut off a slice of the stage. If you choose a side, move a few sections away from the stage rather than sitting right next to it.

Upper level, center

The budget-friendly choice that still works well. Welch's voice fills an arena, and from above the staging is easy to read.

Amphitheater dates

When the band plays a shed, the middle of the covered reserved area is the best buy and the lawn is the low-cost option.

Layouts change by building and tour, so confirm the seating map on your listing first.

Barefoot, a harp and the Witch Choir

Welch runs, spins and dances across the stage for most of the night while the band often plays in shadow. Founding member Tom Monger's harp gives the live band its most recognizable texture. "Shake It Out" and "You've Got the Love" turn the arena into a choir.

The 2026 Everybody Scream Tour framed that energy as theater. Each night began with Welch hidden behind a stage curtain illustrated with healing herbs, and four women billed as the Witch Choir sang and danced in folk-horror choreography by Ryan Heffington. Songs could drop from the full band to just drums and synths, an acoustic guitar or the harp alone. The Independent's critic called the result closer to a shared ritual than a standard concert.

For scale, the band's January 2023 show at The O2 in London had a 23-song set list that reached back to "Cosmic Love" and "Kiss with a Fist." Expect less at a festival.

Florence on the road, 2009 to 2026

  • October 27, 2009: the band's first official New York show, at the Bowery Ballroom.
  • Summer 2011: a support slot on U2's 360 Tour in North America.
  • September 29, 2019: the High as Hope Tour finished at the Acropolis in Athens.
  • Dance Fever Tour (April 15, 2022, to September 2, 2023): a seven-leg run across Europe, North America, Oceania and South America. In North America that fall, the band split its time between arenas, including a two-night stand at Madison Square Garden in mid-September, and outdoor sheds such as Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville.
  • Everybody Scream Tour (February 6 to August 30, 2026): 48 shows in all. Every stop on the spring North American leg (April 8 to May 20) was an arena, with doubles at Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum and single nights at buildings such as Barclays Center and Chase Center. Philadelphia's date shifted to Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall because of a hockey playoff clash. Openers on that leg rotated among Rachel Chinouriri, Sofia Isella, CMAT and Mannequin Pussy.

As of October 2026, the sources reviewed listed no new North American dates. Any announced shows appear in this page's event list.

From Lungs to Everybody Scream

The band, often written Florence + the Machine, came together in London in 2007 around singer-songwriter Florence Welch. Its sound mixes indie rock with baroque pop, meaning pop dressed in orchestral and classical arrangements.

  • Lungs (2009): took 28 weeks to reach the top of the UK chart, then won Best British Album at the 2010 Brits.
  • Ceremonials (2011): the second album.
  • How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015): topped the Billboard 200, a first for the band, and that summer it headlined Glastonbury.
  • Later albums: High as Hope (2018), Dance Fever (2022) and Everybody Scream, released October 31, 2025, bring the total to six.

Grammy voters have nominated the group six times, Best New Artist among them.

Presales, two-night cities and resale

Each North American run covers a limited list of arenas, which pushes demand toward the largest markets.

  • The presale window matters most. For the 2026 tour, North American presales opened November 3, 2025, two days ahead of the November 5 public on-sale. Fan and card-member presales tend to claim many of the prime standing and lower-level spots.
  • Two-night cities are the hottest. In 2026 only New York and the Los Angeles area got a second show, and Friday and Saturday dates typically sell out ahead of weeknights.
  • Upper-level prices drift. On the resale market, the standing floor and the center of the lower level usually command the most, while upper-level listings rise and fall with demand as the date approaches.
