Upcoming Breaking Benjamin dates
Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
The seat that sounds best is the seat to buy
For a Breaking Benjamin concert, the smartest reserved seat faces the stage from the first raised level, as close to straight-on as you can get. That spot sits nearest the soundboard (the mixing desk out on the floor), which is where the engineer tunes the show, so it hears the cleanest blend of three guitars and stacked vocals. The band's show is built on songs, volume and harmonies rather than set pieces, so hearing it well matters more than seeing every corner of the stage.
Most North American dates are shared bills with two or three other rock acts. Plan for a long night, and choose a seat you will be comfortable in for several sets.
Pit, reserved, side or lawn
- General admission pit or floor: standing room in front of the stage, for fans who want to shout the choruses with the crowd. You will be on your feet across multiple bands, and the area near the front moves.
- Lower-level reserved, facing the stage: the best balance of sound, view and comfort.
- Side sections near the stage: a fair buy at this kind of show, since there is not much staging to miss. At sharp angles, speaker stacks can cut off part of the view.
- Amphitheater lawn: the grass area behind the reserved seats at an outdoor venue. It is the easygoing way to spend a long bill, with a screen view of the stage; bring a blanket only if the venue allows it.
- Behind the stage or limited view: skip these. A guitar band heard from behind the speakers never sounds right.
The venues vary from tour to tour, so open the map on your event before you choose.
Choruses, guest singers and fans on stage
Expect loud, guitar-heavy radio singles and an audience that sings every hook back. The band's catalog includes "So Cold," "The Diary of Jane," "Breath," "I Will Not Bow," "Failure" and "Blow Me Away," which was written for the Halo 2 soundtrack.
- Cross-band guest spots: singers from touring partners often join in, among them David Draiman of Disturbed, Adam Gontier of Saint Asonia and Three Days Grace, and Shaun Morgan of Seether. Burnley sometimes turns up in their sets, too.
- Fans invited up: the band has brought audience members on stage to perform.
- Who closes: on a co-headline tour, the top two bands can trade the final slot by night, so read the listing if one band is your priority.
One founder, two lineups
Benjamin Burnley, singer, guitarist and main songwriter, started the band in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, in 1999 and is the only constant. The first lineup made four albums before his recurring health problems forced a hiatus in 2010. A fight over Shallow Bay (2011), a greatest-hits set he had not approved, ended with Burnley holding the name, and in August 2014 he returned with new players: Jasen Rauch on guitar, Keith Wallen on guitar and vocals, Aaron Bruch on bass and vocals, and Shaun Foist on drums.
That lineup reshaped the concerts. Wallen and Bruch were picked in part for their voices, so the layered three-part harmonies on the records could be sung live, while Rauch covers a third guitar and uses a guitar synthesizer for string and choir textures. Foist stopped touring in 2025 for health reasons and left that December; Brian Medeiros, formerly of Red, was announced as touring drummer in May 2026.
On record, the band moved from Saturate (2002) and We Are Not Alone (2004) through Phobia (2006) and Dear Agony (2009) to Dark Before Dawn (2015), a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200, and Ember (2018), which entered at No. 3. Wikipedia credits more than 19 million US units. After signing with BMG in October 2024, the band released "Awaken" as the lead single of a seventh album and followed it with "Something Wicked" in May 2026.
Road history, 2007 to 2026
A long-standing fear of flying kept Burnley, and the band, in North America for most of its career.
- 2007: a homecoming show at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, aired on HDNet as "The Homecoming."
- 2010: the Dark Horse Tour alongside Nickelback, Shinedown and Sick Puppies, just before the hiatus.
- 2016: the first shows abroad, with a February rock cruise and June festival sets at Download in the UK, Rock am Ring in Germany and Nova Rock in Austria.
- 2019: a summer headline tour with Chevelle and Three Days Grace, July 21 to September 25.
- 2022: co-headlining North America with Alice in Chains from August to October, with Bush as special guest.
- 2024: an acoustic run in January, spring dates with Daughtry and a fall co-headline with Staind.
- 2025: a US co-headline with Three Days Grace from August to October.
- 2026: a June and July European tour, the first since 2017, with Burnley crossing by boat, and a North American tour announced for September and October with Chevelle, Starset and Kami Kehoe.

Bills, weekends and late buying
The rest of the lineup drives demand more than anything else. A partner of similar size, such as Three Days Grace or Staind, draws a wider crowd and fills more of the building.
- Presales: artist, venue and promoter presales usually open a few days ahead of the public on-sale.
- Weekend nights: typically draw more buyers than weeknights in the same region.
- Closest seats: floor and front lower-level tickets see the most resale demand, while upper-level and lawn seats often remain near show day.
- Festivals: sets at events like Welcome to Rockville are sold by the festival, so a day pass is a separate purchase from a tour ticket.

Who founded Breaking Benjamin?
Singer and guitarist Benjamin Burnley formed the band in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, in 1999. He is the only member who has been there throughout.
Why does Breaking Benjamin rarely play overseas?
Burnley's fear of flying kept the band mostly in North America. For the June and July 2026 European tour, its first there since 2017, he traveled by boat.
Who is drumming for Breaking Benjamin in 2026?
Brian Medeiros, formerly of Red, was named touring drummer in May 2026 after Shaun Foist left in December 2025. Lineups can change, so check the band's announcements.
Which Breaking Benjamin album reached No. 1?
Dark Before Dawn (2015) debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200; Ember (2018) debuted at No. 3.
