Greta Van Fleet Tickets

Lower-level sides for the guitar view · straight back for the mix

Greta Van Fleet plays loud, blues-rooted rock with room for long solos, so decide whether you are buying for the guitar view, the sound or the crowd.

Upcoming Greta Van Fleet dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Greta Van Fleet seats by what you want most

Pick the seat for the part of the show you care about. Greta Van Fleet concerts center on two things, Josh Kiszka's high, powerful vocals and Jake Kiszka's blues-based lead guitar, played at full volume on an end stage (the stage at one end, the crowd facing it).

  • Want to watch the guitar work: lower-level seats along the sides close to the stage.
  • Want the best sound: lower-level seats straight back from the stage, square to the speakers.
  • Want the energy: the general admission floor, which means standing room, first come, first served.
  • Want value: upper-level center seats, where the music still lands even if the players look small.

Venue sizes have changed from tour to tour, so confirm the map on your listing.

Floor, side, back and upper seats compared

General admission floor

Close and loud. The area near the barricade stays packed all night, so arrive early if the front matters.

Lower-level sides near the stage

The best seated option for this band. You look across the stage at an angle that shows Jake Kiszka's hands and Danny Wagner's drum kit, without competing with a standing crowd.

Lower level facing the stage

Farther away, but you face the speaker arrays directly, which gives the cleanest balance of vocals and guitar.

Upper level

Fine for a show that is mostly about the music. Center sections beat seats wrapped tight beside the stage, where gear can block part of the view.

Behind the stage

Usually closed or obstructed on an end-stage layout. Buy only if the listing describes an open view.

Pack earplugs. Two hours at rock-concert volume is far easier with them.

Classic-rock DNA and the Zeppelin comparison

You will hear Led Zeppelin in almost every review, and the band has not run from it. Jake Kiszka has said he studied Jimmy Page's playing intensely for a year, and Robert Plant said in March 2018 that "they are Led Zeppelin I." Josh Kiszka has said Plant influenced him but was never the target; his style came from straining to be heard over the band in rehearsal.

The influences are wider than one band. The group cites Rush, Queen, the Doors and Aerosmith. Wagner points to John Bonham and Mitch Mitchell, Sam Kiszka to Motown bassist James Jamerson, and Josh to Joe Cocker's stage movements. Critics file the music under hard rock, blues rock and progressive rock, and songs often begin as folk arrangements before they are built up. If you love long vocal notes and solos with room to breathe, this is your show.

Frankenmuth, Highway Tune and four records

The band formed in Frankenmuth, Michigan, in 2012. Josh and Jake Kiszka are twins, Sam is their younger brother, and Wagner, a friend, replaced first drummer Kyle Hauck in 2013. The name comes from Gretna Van Fleet, a Frankenmuth resident who gave her blessing.

  • 2017: signed by Lava Records in March. "Highway Tune" spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts that September, and the double EP From the Fires followed in November.
  • 2019 Grammys: From the Fires won Best Rock Album, one of four nominations that included Best New Artist.
  • Anthem of the Peaceful Army (2018): debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
  • The Battle at Garden's Gate (2021).
  • Starcatcher (2023): produced by Dave Cobb, debuted at No. 8 and was nominated for Best Rock Album in 2024.
  • Palace for the People: announced in July 2026 for release on October 9, 2026.

  • 2017: on the road with The Struts in May, then an opening set for Bob Seger at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw on September 7, close to home.

Network TV followed with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in July 2018 and Saturday Night Live on January 19, 2019. Pollstar named the band Best New Headliner in 2019.
  • Dreams in Gold Tour (2021 to 2023): a long world tour behind The Battle at Garden's Gate that ended in Sacramento on March 30, 2023. Five songs that later appeared on Starcatcher debuted at its final three shows.

Who buys Greta Van Fleet tickets, and when

The audience mixes younger rock fans with classic-rock listeners who grew up on the bands Greta Van Fleet gets compared to. That shapes the market:

  • New records bring new tours. A release like Palace for the People is the usual signal that dates are on the way.
  • Presales go first. Artist and mailing-list presales typically run ahead of the public on-sale and take the closest floor and lower-level seats.
  • Michigan and weekend shows run hot. Home-state dates and Friday or Saturday nights in big markets draw the most resale interest.
  • The floor is the most volatile ticket. GA prices swing the most near show day, while upper-level seats stay steadier.
