Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Def Leppard seats: the short answer by format
Your best Def Leppard seat depends on which kind of show you are buying, because the band moves between four very different formats. At a stadium, take a lower-level sideline seat close to the stage rather than a mid-field floor seat. At an arena, take the lower bowl along the sides, angled toward the stage. At a Las Vegas residency, sit center, since the room is small enough that distance barely matters. At a state fair, the track or infield seats are closest, while the grandstand gives you height and a fixed seat.
The reason behind every one of those calls is the same: this is a production show with layered harmonies, a big lighting rig and wide video screens. You want enough elevation to take in the whole stage picture, not just the musician nearest you.
Stadium nights: field, sideline or upper deck
Def Leppard's biggest recent runs have been stadium co-headliners, where the band shares a bill with other major acts. In those shows the stage sits at one end and the field (the flat playing surface, covered with temporary seating) is divided into sections in front of it.
- Front field sections: the closest you can get. They are also the most expensive and the most crowded, and because the field has no rake (no upward slope), anyone taller in front of you blocks the view.
- Rear field sections: usually a poor trade. You give up the elevation of a stadium seat without gaining real closeness, and you end up watching the screens.
- Lower-level sideline near the stage: the pick for most fans. You are raised above the field, close to the stage edge, and you see the lights and screens as one picture.
- Upper deck at the far end: buy it for the crowd and the sound of 40,000 people singing "Pour Some Sugar on Me," not for detail.
Co-headline nights run long, so check the set times for your date before you decide how early to arrive.
Arenas, residencies, amphitheaters and fairs
Arenas
The lower bowl along the sides is the sweet spot. Floor seats are flat, so past roughly the first 15 rows you are looking between heads. Upper-level seats square to the stage are fine for the production but distant for faces.
Las Vegas residencies
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is a theater-style room, far smaller than an arena. Even the upper seats feel close. Center seats beat the extreme sides because you see the full stage design rather than a slice of it.
Amphitheaters
The covered reserved sections give you the cleanest sound and shelter from weather. The lawn (general admission grass behind the seats) is the relaxed, distant option.
State fairs
Fair concerts usually put the stage on the track or infield with a grandstand facing it. Track or infield seats are closest; grandstand seats are raised and reserved. Some fairs charge gate admission separately from the concert ticket, so read the fair's own rules.
What you will hear and see
A Def Leppard set is a run of 1980s hits played loud and tight: "Photograph," "Hysteria," "Love Bites" and "Pour Some Sugar on Me" anchor the night. The band's signature is stacked vocal harmony, so the backing vocals carry as much weight as the guitars. Newer songs appear too, including material from Diamond Star Halos (2022) and the 2026 single "Rejoice."
The band has played with the format before. During its 2013 Las Vegas residency at the Hard Rock Hotel, each night opened with the band performing rarities under the joke alias Ded Flatbird before it played Hysteria in full. Crowds mix fans who bought the records on release with younger listeners raised on classic rock radio.

Reading the Def Leppard ticket market
Format drives demand more than anything else. A stadium co-headliner has enormous capacity and sells on the strength of several bands, so upper-level inventory often loosens in the final weeks while the front field sections hold firm. A residency works the other way: a small room, a short run and fans flying in for a specific night keep the center seats scarce from the start. Fair and casino dates tend to draw a regional crowd and are often the easiest way to see the band at close range.
Fan-club, card-program and venue presales usually open before the general on-sale, and weekend dates in the band's strongest US markets move first. Reserved Seat orders carry no digital transfer fees. Announcements appear on Def Leppard's tour page.
Sheffield, Hysteria and the Hall of Fame
Def Leppard formed in Sheffield, England, in 1976 and grew out of the new wave of British heavy metal (the late-1970s wave of UK hard rock bands). Producer Mutt Lange shaped High 'n' Dry (1981), and the next two albums, Pyromania (1983) and Hysteria (1987), were both certified Diamond in the US. Hysteria reached No. 1 in the UK and the US, sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and produced six US Top 20 singles, with "Love Bites" going to No. 1.
Drummer Rick Allen lost his left arm after a car crash on December 31, 1984, and kept his place in the band. The lineup of Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell has been unchanged since 1992. The band has sold more than 100 million records, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 and received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in October 2025.
Frequently asked questions
Is a floor seat worth it at a Def Leppard stadium show?
Only near the front. The field is flat, so rear field sections lose the view, and a lower-level sideline seat near the stage usually shows you more of the production.
How big is the room for the Caesars Palace residency?
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is a theater-style venue much smaller than an arena, so even upper seats are fairly close. Center seats give the most complete view of the stage.
Do I need a separate ticket to get into the fair for a Def Leppard fair show?
Sometimes. Some state fairs charge gate admission on top of the concert ticket, so check the fair's rules for your date.
Who is in Def Leppard now?
Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Rick Allen, Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell. That lineup has been together since 1992.
When did Def Leppard enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
In 2019, after the band won the public fan vote.
