Camp Bisco Tickets

Dormant since the July 18–20, 2019 edition in Scranton, PA

The Disco Biscuits' jam-and-electronic camping weekend has been dormant since 2019; here is how its passes, campsites and stages worked.

Upcoming Camp Bisco dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Before you buy: Camp Bisco is on pause

There is no Camp Bisco to attend right now. The festival's most recent edition ran July 18 to 20, 2019, at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Organizers canceled 2020 and 2021 and said the event would come back in 2022, yet no edition has happened since, according to the sources reviewed as of October 2026. If you see a listing for a future Camp Bisco, confirm it against a dated announcement on the festival's own site before you spend anything.

What follows is the practical record: how the weekend was set up, which pass and campsite choices mattered, and what a return would likely look like. The host, the Disco Biscuits, is a Philadelphia band that fuses improvised rock with electronic dance music, and the festival mirrored that blend with jam bands, DJs, producers and a few hip-hop acts.

Picking your pass if the festival returns

At a camping festival, the pass is the seat decision. During the Montage Mountain years the options were:

  • General admission (GA): entry for all three days. Early-bird GA tiers cost less and usually sold out before the full lineup was out, so they rewarded fans who trusted the hosts.
  • VIP: separate viewing areas, better restrooms and added amenities. Worth it if you plan to spend long nights in front of the main stage and want a shorter line for basics.
  • Camping: tent sites on the mountain, sold apart from admission. Skipping it means commuting from a hotel every day.
  • Parking and RV: vehicle and camper passes, also sold separately.
  • Glamping and travel bundles: pre-pitched lodging and packages, sold through a travel partner (CID Entertainment handled them in 2017).

For a revival after years away, expect two demand spikes: the first announcement and the lineup reveal. Waiting for the official dates, then comparing tiers side by side, is the low-risk approach.

Where to camp and where to stand

Montage Mountain is a ski resort, and its terrain shaped the weekend. The festival used The Pavilion at Montage Mountain (an outdoor amphitheater), on-site campgrounds and the adjoining waterpark.

  • Campsites: mountain ground slopes and can be rocky. Early arrivals got the flatter plots; late arrivals pitched on angles. Pack stakes built for hard soil.
  • Main stage viewing: Disco Biscuits sets drew the largest crowds of the weekend, because many attendees built their whole schedule around the hosts. Claim a spot before those sets start, not during them.
  • Midday breaks: the waterpark gave fans a rare way to cool off on a July afternoon, so heat was less of a reason to leave the grounds than at most camping festivals.

Fans who preferred a bed booked hotels in Scranton or Wilkes-Barre, at the cost of daily traffic in and out.

The jam-meets-electronic bill

Camp Bisco's lineups followed the overlap between jam culture and bass-heavy electronic music. Shpongle, Lotus, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Gramatik and STS9 all appeared as the event grew.

  • 2017: more than 40 acts, with the Disco Biscuits joined by Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, GRiZ, Lotus, Gramatik, Action Bronson and Shpongle. It was billed as the 15th Camp Bisco.
  • 2019: over 60 artists, topped by the Disco Biscuits, ODESZA and Bassnectar, with STS9, Umphrey's McGee, Twiddle and GZA further down the bill.

The rhythm of a typical day: long improvised sets, a late finish and a crowd that knows the host band's catalog well. If you are new to the scene, plan around two or three anchor sets and let the rest of the schedule fill in.

How the festival moved around the Northeast

The Disco Biscuits formed at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, and the first Camp Bisco followed in August 1999 in Cherrytree Township, Pennsylvania. The concept from the start was to put electronic DJs on the same bill as improvisational rock bands.

  • 2013: held July 11 to 13 at Indian Lookout Country Club, near Albany, New York.
  • 2015 to 2019: based at Montage Mountain in Scranton, with Live Nation as production partner by 2017.
  • 2020: canceled during the pandemic, with refunds issued.
  • 2021: the edition planned for July 8 to 10 was canceled and refunded. The band played City Bisco, a non-camping concert run at the Mann Center in Philadelphia, instead.

The band's festival activity has since shifted to Biscoland, held at Wonderland Forest in LaFayette, New York, on October 6 and 7, 2023, and July 4 to 6, 2024. It is a different event, not Camp Bisco under a new name.

Getting to Montage Mountain

The site's address is 1000 Montage Mountain Road, Scranton, in northeastern Pennsylvania. It sits outside the city center on a resort road, so nearly everyone drove, and vehicle and RV passes were sold on their own. If a new edition is announced, do not assume the venue, the policies or the pass menu will match the past; check the Camp Bisco website for current details. When an announced edition does go on sale, every Reserved Seat order carries a 100% guarantee.
