Faurot Field seats: the short answer for Mizzou games
At a Missouri Tigers game, the seats to target are on the east or west sideline between the 20-yard lines, in the middle rows, high enough to look over the benches. For premium comfort, the rebuilt north end zone and the south end zone building both offer suites and club seating. When the September sun is out, the south end offers a rare patch of shade.
Mizzou plays at Memorial Stadium, whose playing surface is Faurot Field, in the middle of the MU campus in Columbia. How many it holds in 2026 depends on whom you ask: 63,609 per Wikipedia, or close to 65,000 by the university's count after the north end rebuild.
- Best view: east or west sideline, mid-level rows, 20 to 20.
- Best for shade: the south end zone, according to seat guides.
- Most premium options: the north end zone, rebuilt for 2026.
- Skip if you want to sit: the student section in the southeast corner.
Two new ends and a classic horseshoe: the Memorial Stadium layout
The 1926 horseshoe (it opened on October 2 of that year) has been closed off at both ends over time, so the two end zones now feel very different from the original sidelines.
East and west sidelines
The core of the bowl and the best football seats. Aim for the middle rows, which clear the team benches and let you see plays unfold. If you park east and sit west, golf carts ferry fans across.
Southeast corner
Students moved here during the 2012 renovation. Nobody sits down there for long, so if you plan to stay in your seat, buy somewhere else.
South end zone
Completed ahead of 2019, the south building added 16 suites, club decks, its own video board and a wraparound concourse. Outside seat guides flag this end as a good bet for shade in warm weather.
North end zone
For the stadium's centennial season, 2026, the north end was rebuilt top to bottom. The count: 2,280 premium seats, made up of 71 suites, 628 loge boxes, 270 mezzanine club seats, 14 suites at field level and 24 Tiger Den suites. Tucked under the hill is the 300-capacity Rock M Club.
Above it stands the Rock M, whitewashed stones laid out by freshmen in 1927 into a letter 90 feet across and 95 feet high. Visitors picking up held tickets go to the visiting team window at Gate 6W, open from two hours before kickoff. Mizzou's gameday page does not show a visitor-section map, so confirm any listing labeled as visitor seating.
Kansas, Arkansas and the SEC dates Mizzou fans circle
The opponent shapes the crowd in Columbia.
- Kansas, the Border War: Kansas City hosted the opener on Halloween 1891, and Sports Illustrated has named it the oldest Division I rivalry west of the Mississippi River. Missouri's 2012 move out of the Big 12 shelved it until September 6, 2025, when the Tigers won 42–31 at home. Future dates: Lawrence in 2026, then 2031 and 2032, so a home Border War is not on the near-term calendar.
- Arkansas: The Battle Line Rivalry is a border series in the SEC, and both fan bases can drive to it.
- Oklahoma: A Big Eight rival from decades past, back on the schedule as an SEC opponent since 2024.
Prices peak for ranked conference visitors, evening games and homecoming. Early nonconference games are the easiest tickets.
Tiger Walk, homecoming and 2026 entry rules
Mizzou is widely credited with inventing homecoming, dating it to the Kansas game of 1911, and the weekend remains a campus-wide event.
- Tiger Walk: Players make their way through Lot C, the strip between the Stephens Indoor Facility and the South End Zone Building, ahead of every home game; check the gameday schedule for the time.
- The chant: The M-I-Z, Z-O-U call and response took hold after the 1976 upset in Columbus over Ohio State.
- Band and mascot: Marching Mizzou plays, and Truman the Tiger has prowled the sideline since 1986.
Missouri's 2026 gameday rules, as published:
- Doors: two hours ahead of kickoff.
- Tickets: on your phone in the Mizzou Tigers app; a printout will not scan.
- Bags: one transparent bag within 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or a clear gallon freezer bag, with an optional clutch no bigger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches.
- Inside: once you leave you stay out (an SEC rule), and every stand is cashless.
- Tailgating: no setup before 8 a.m., tents capped at 10 by 10 feet, no kegs or bulk alcohol, and spaces emptied by midnight or three hours postgame, whichever applies.

Buying Mizzou seats: season base, premium tiers, resale
Missouri, like its SEC peers, sells most of the stadium as season tickets, with the best sideline locations generally going to donors who have priority. The new north end premium seating is sold as a separate tier, and the student body draws its own block for the southeast corner.
When a ranked conference opponent visits, on homecoming, or late in the year with the standings in play, a good sideline seat usually means buying resale. Expect the matchup, the two teams' form, the start time and the weather to set the price. Reserved Seat orders come with free shipping and no digital transfer fees.
Parking in Columbia and the Tigers' story
Columbia is about midway between the state's two big cities, Kansas City and St. Louis. For 2026, single-game parking is available in the PS7 Garage, and lots open their gates at 7 a.m. The largest crowd on record, 75,298, saw Penn State visit in 1980, well above today's capacity, yet roads still clog long before kickoff. Reports in early 2026 said MU was exploring a naming-rights deal, so watch for a new stadium name.
The first Missouri team played in 1890. After long stretches in the Big Eight and then the Big 12, the Tigers moved to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in 2012 and promptly won the East in 2013 and again in 2014. The field honors Don Faurot, a College Football Hall of Famer tied to the Split-T. Dan Devine coached the 1960 team, and Gary Pinkel holds the school wins record at 118–73, including a 12–2 season in 2007. Staffs change each year, so check the team site for current coaches.
