Buffalo Bills Tickets

Value pick: front of the steep 300 level · canopy over ~65% of seats

The Bills moved across Abbott Road into a steeper, partly covered stadium in 2026. Here is how to choose a seat when the seat maps are still new.

Upcoming Buffalo Bills dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Where to sit for a Bills game: the quick verdict

For a Buffalo Bills game at the new Highmark Stadium, the strongest all-around seat is a 100-level sideline section inside the 20s, halfway up the section or higher. The best value is the first few rows of the 300 level near midfield. The upper tier rises at about 34 degrees, which pulls those seats in tight compared with the gentle upper deck across the street, and much of it is under the canopy.

This is the building's first season, which changes how you should shop. Fan-shot seat photos and crowd-built guides to shade and bench sides usually need a couple of seasons to fill in. Until they do, preview your exact row with the team's Virtual Venue tool or its 3D map, and treat a listing's claims about shade or the home bench with caution unless the team's own map backs them up.

Two concourses, a canopy and a standing deck

The new stadium seats 60,108, fewer than the old building across the street, though standing room can lift a crowd to roughly 63,000. The layout is simpler than most NFL venues. The team's stadium guide lists:

  • Main Concourse, sections 101–155: the lower bowl around the field, with premium club seating along the sidelines.
  • Upper Concourse, sections 301–349: the steep upper tier, largely covered by the canopy.
  • Premium spaces: suites plus three clubs, called the Field Club, the Charge Bar and the 716 Club, reached through their own entries.
  • Standing deck: behind the north goal line, a platform for standing-room fans that sits just 12.5 feet or so above the grass.

Overhead, a roof ring shelters close to two-thirds of the seats (sources put it at 64 or 65 percent), but the playing field has no cover, by design. To make winter bearable, the builders added heated grass, concourse radiant heating, a large snow-melting system and heat in a portion of the seats.

Cover, cold and the canopy line

In Orchard Park, the weather trade-off is not sun versus shade. It is covered versus uncovered.

  • Under the canopy: you stay drier when snow or rain blows through. You do not necessarily stay warmer, because the bowl is still open to the wind.
  • Outside the canopy: the lower rows closest to the field are more exposed. In December, that can mean snow on your seat and wind off the field.
  • Standing deck: close to the action at the north end, with the trade-off that you stand all game.

For any game after Halloween, dress in layers no matter where your ticket is. Seat cushions are allowed under the 2026 rules if they are no larger than 15 by 15 inches and skip armrests, pockets, zippers and metal frames, and a cushion helps on a cold, wet bench.

If you want the classic Buffalo snow game, an uncovered lower-bowl seat is the authentic version. If you want to stay dry and still see the whole field, the front of the upper tier at midfield is the safer pick.

Rows to verify before you pay

A Stadium Journey review from September 2026 reported more blocked sightlines than you might expect in a new building. That makes the seat viewer more than a nice extra.

  • Check every specific row: look up the section and row in Virtual Venue first, especially for premium prices.
  • Low end zone rows: good for scoring plays at your end and a poor angle on everything else.
  • Bench side: no verified source yet says which sideline the Bills use in the new building. Do not pay extra for it without confirmation.

Demand: division games, night games and seat licenses

The NFL plays 17 regular-season games over 18 weeks, so Buffalo hosts eight or nine of them, with August exhibitions before them and any home playoff dates after.

  • AFC East rivals: the Dolphins, Patriots and Jets come to town once a year, and those games usually carry the strongest regular-season demand.
  • Prime time: night kickoffs on Thursday, Sunday or Monday bring a national audience and a longer, louder tailgate. The first regular-season game in the new building, against the Detroit Lions on Thursday, September 17, 2026, was a prime-time broadcast.
  • December and January: late-season games matter most in the standings and appeal to fans who want winter football.
  • Playoffs: home playoff tickets appear on short notice and go quickly.

Supply is tighter than you might expect. The bowl is smaller than before, and according to the team, buyers put up 263 million dollars for personal seat licenses (a PSL is an upfront fee that secures your right to hold season tickets). That puts much of the stadium in season-ticket holders' hands, and they supply most resale listings. Prices for marquee opponents tend to rise as kickoff nears, while September dates with weaker draws tend to loosen up.

If you follow the team away, the three division road games are the easiest trips to arrange.

Orchard Park gameday: lots, buses and gates

You will find the stadium in Orchard Park, beside Erie Community College's South Campus, roughly nine miles from downtown Buffalo (street address: 10 Bills Plaza). The team's 2026 stadium guide set the following rules; confirm the current version before game day.

  • Parking: buy your pass ahead of time, because no lot sells on arrival, and park only in the lot printed on it. Lots open four hours ahead of kickoff and empty out by two hours after the final whistle.
  • Tailgating: every space includes room to tailgate, about 9 feet by 10 feet. Gas or propane grills and charcoal grills that sit off the ground are fine, as are tents and small speakers. Leave the drones, megaphones, glass and tent stakes at home. The party stops at kickoff.
  • Buses and rideshare: NFTA's Game Day Express collects fans across Western New York and drops them at an Abbott Road transit center. Rideshare drivers use a zone on the college campus's east end.
  • Gates: security screening starts three hours before kickoff, and ticket scanning starts an hour later. Once scanned in, you cannot step out and come back.
  • Bags: the NFL clear-bag standard applies, so a clear tote of up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a gallon-size clear freezer bag, or a clutch roughly the size of a hand.
  • Tickets and payment: your phone is your ticket; screenshots and printouts will not scan. Stands take cards only, and reverse ATMs convert cash to a prepaid card.

The team posts every rule in its Highmark Stadium A to Z guide. Tickets bought through Reserved Seat are covered by a 100% guarantee.

Bills history, briefly

The Bills date to October 28, 1959, when they joined the new American Football League as an original member (the AFL later merged with the NFL, in 1970). Ralph Wilson founded and owned the team until 2014; Terry and Kim Pegula have owned it since. The fan base, Bills Mafia, is known both for a rowdy tailgate scene and for charitable giving.

  • 1964–1965: consecutive AFL championships under coach Lou Saban, with Jack Kemp at quarterback.
  • 1990 to 1993 seasons: four straight Super Bowl appearances, all losses, led by Hall of Famers Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas and Andre Reed.
  • 1992 season: "The Comeback," when Buffalo erased a 35–3 deficit to win a playoff game.
  • 1999 season: the "Music City Miracle" kickoff-return lateral in Tennessee knocked Buffalo out and still stings when the Titans come up.
  • 2017: a playoff berth that ended a 17-year postseason drought.

Home games moved from War Memorial Stadium in Buffalo to Orchard Park in 1973. The old building, known in turn as Rich Stadium, Ralph Wilson Stadium and Highmark Stadium, served through 2025. The new Highmark Stadium broke ground on June 5, 2023, cut its ribbon on June 23, 2026, and opened to fans with the Blue and Red scrimmage that August. Populous was the architect, New York State is the owner, and reported costs range from about 2.1 billion to 2.2 billion dollars. The old stadium is slated for demolition.

Frequently asked questions

Which seats at the new Highmark Stadium are covered?

Close to two-thirds of the seats sit under the canopy, much of the upper tier among them. The playing field and parts of the lower bowl have no cover.

Are upper-level seats at the new Bills stadium any good?

Yes, especially the front rows near midfield. Because the tier climbs at about 34 degrees, it feels tighter to the field than the old upper deck did.

Does the new stadium have obstructed-view seats?

A September 2026 Stadium Journey review said yes, more than expected. Look up your section and row in the team's Virtual Venue tool before you pay.

Can I pay for parking when I arrive at a Bills game?

Not under the 2026 rules. You must buy a pass ahead of time, and it works only in its assigned lot; check the current policy before you go.

Can I bring a seat cushion to Highmark Stadium?

The 2026 rules allowed cushions up to 15 by 15 inches without armrests, pockets, zippers or a metal frame. Confirm the current policy before game day.

How many fans does the new Highmark Stadium hold?

It is listed at 60,108 seats, and standing room can lift a crowd to about 63,000.
