Edmonton Oilers Tickets

Lower-bowl sideline is best · upper sections only ~12 rows deep

Rogers Place keeps its upper bowl to about 12 rows a section, so a cheap Oilers seat is never far away. Where you sit comes down to angle, end and budget.

Upcoming Edmonton Oilers dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Your Oilers seat, decided fast

For an Edmonton Oilers game, the top seat is a lower-bowl sideline seat between the blue lines, row 10 or higher. Rogers Place's lower bowl runs from section 101 to 134 around the full rink, and from that height you look over the glass and the benches yet still hear sticks and skates.

  • Best value: the upper bowl sideline, 201–234, where sections are only about 12 rows deep.
  • More Oilers goals at your end: the net Edmonton attacks in the first and third periods.
  • Table seating and service: the loge level.
  • Hospitality at the top of the building: the Sky Lounge.

The regular season opens in October and closes in mid-April.

Lower bowl, loge, upper bowl and Sky Lounge

Lower bowl (101–134)

The closest ring, wrapping the ice. The sideline is the prize; the ends cost less and show one net well.

Loge level

Between the two bowls: loge boxes and clubs such as the Sportsnet Club, with in-seat service. The height is good for reading plays, but you pay for the hospitality, so price a lower-bowl sideline seat before you decide.

Upper bowl (201–234)

Each section is short, roughly a dozen rows, capped by a drink rail. You usually come in at the top and step down to your row. With so few rows, the last one is not much farther from the ice than the first.

Sky Lounge

A premium perch on the highest level of the building.

Hockey capacity is listed at 18,347 in the arena's Wikipedia entry and 18,641 in the team's, so expect either figure in references.

Attack end, drink rails and front rows upstairs

  • The Oilers' attack end: a popular seating guide puts it under upper sections 210–213, and has visitors attacking twice toward section 224. Check the listing map before you pay more for that end; from there, the opposite net is a long way off.
  • Upper-bowl front rows: the pick of the upstairs seats, reached by walking down from the top entrance.
  • The drink-rail row: a standing-height ledge at the top of each upper section, handy for a drink but the farthest point from the ice.
  • Low lower-bowl rows: rows 1 to 9 put the glass and the bench area between you and the play. Row 10 and up fixes that.

Lower-bowl bench locations were not confirmed in this page's sources, so do not buy a section on the assumption it is behind the Oilers bench.

Flames dates, Final rematches and the rest of the slate

Exhibition hockey begins in late September. Edmonton then plays 41 of its 82 regular-season games at home between October and mid-April, and the postseason can stretch to June.

  • Calgary: the Battle of Alberta games are the hardest tickets of the regular season.
  • Florida: the Panthers beat Edmonton in the 2024 and 2025 Finals, which gives every visit an edge.
  • Dallas and Pacific rivals: the Oilers knocked Dallas out in back-to-back conference finals, 2024 and 2025; Vancouver and Los Angeles are regular division opponents.
  • Saturdays and holiday weeks: the biggest crowds of the season.
  • Home playoff games: scarce, with resale prices that swing after every game.

Eastern Conference opponents on a weeknight generally leave the widest selection.

MacEwan station, Ford Hall and mobile entry

Rogers Place stands at 10220 104 Avenue NW in the Ice District. The LRT's MacEwan station, on the Metro Line, is at the arena's north side; per Explore Edmonton, five LRT stations and over 40 bus routes are a walk away. Ford Hall, the glass atrium where crowds gather, has a walk-in portal at the corner of 103 Avenue and 103 Street. If you drive, reserve a spot in advance; the ICE District Central Parkade is one option.

  • Ways in: pedways into Ford Hall, doors on 104 Avenue, or the LRT entrance on the north side.
  • Gates: as of the arena's current Oilers event guide, the fan park and Ford Hall open 60 minutes before puck drop.
  • Bags: 12 by 12 by 6 inches at most, searched at the door.
  • Tickets: phone only, in Ticketmaster; its two-step login can stall you, so open your tickets before the security line.

Policies change; confirm on the arena's home-game guide. Reserve dinner along 104 Avenue, because tables go fast before puck drop. Every Reserved Seat order is covered by a 100% guarantee.

From the Alberta Oilers to three straight trips to the Final

As the Alberta Oilers, the club spent 1972–73 in the World Hockey Association, the upstart league that challenged the NHL through the 1970s. Edmonton entered the NHL for 1979–80 and played at Northlands Coliseum, later Rexall Place, until the move downtown; Rogers Place opened September 8, 2016, with what was then the NHL's biggest center-hung scoreboard.

  • 1984 to 1990: five Stanley Cups in seven seasons.
  • August 9, 1988: Wayne Gretzky is traded to the Los Angeles Kings. Edmonton still won the 1990 Cup.
  • 1986: in Game 7 of the second round, on his birthday, rookie Steve Smith banked the puck into the Edmonton net and Calgary advanced.
  • November 22, 2003: the first outdoor regular-season game in NHL history, the Heritage Classic, against Montreal.
  • 2006, 2024 and 2025: Final losses to Carolina and then twice to Florida.
  • 2022: a five-game second-round win over the Flames.
  • October 29, 2023: Edmonton beats Calgary 5–2 outdoors at Commonwealth Stadium, 55,411 watching, in the first open-air Battle of Alberta.

In 2020 the arena served as a playoff hub, and in deep runs the team has opened it for road-game watch parties. Among the eight retired numbers are 99 (Gretzky), 11 (Mark Messier), 17 (Jari Kurri), 7 (Paul Coffey) and 31 (Grant Fuhr).
