Upcoming Seattle Kraken dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

The Kraken seat to target

The best seat for a Seattle Kraken game is a lower-bowl sideline seat at center ice, in the middle rows, high enough to clear the bench area and take in all 200 feet of ice. If you want the most hockey for the money, a 2023 fan seat guide points to loge sections 105 to 110, above the end Seattle attacks twice.

  • Two periods of Kraken offense: lower-bowl sections 3 to 12.
  • Visitors attack twice: toward sections 16 to 25.
  • Check before buying: rows F and up in upper sections 211 to 217, which lose sight of the main video boards.
  • Skip for viewing: the curved corner glass.

Hockey capacity is 17,151.

Lower bowl 1–26, loge 101–126, upper 201–226

Section numbering here is a little unusual, so learn it before you shop. Fan-written guides and seat-photo sites describe the same three tiers:

  • Lower bowl, sections 1 to 26: single- and double-digit numbers, closest to the ice.
  • Loge level, sections 101 to 126: the middle ring.
  • Upper level, sections 201 to 226: the top tier, and a steep one.

So section 12 is lower bowl and section 112 is loge, directly above it. Listings that show only a number are easy to misread; check the map at checkout.

The bowl is new even though the roof is not. During a renovation of about 1.15 billion dollars, builders preserved the protected roof and glass walls and excavated about 600,000 cubic yards of soil beneath them to fit a larger seating bowl.

Loge 105–110 and the end Seattle attacks twice

A home club attacks one goal during periods one and three. Sound of Hockey's 2023 guide places Seattle's two-period goal below sections 3 to 12 in the lower bowl, plus the low-numbered loge sections above them. The visitors attack twice toward sections 16 through 25. Arrangements can change, so check the team's seating chart and watch warmups.

Why the loge works

The loge is high enough to see plays form and low enough to feel the pace. The same guide calls out loge 105 to 110 as a value pick, since you get the height of the middle ring over the Kraken's attacking end.

Lower-bowl trade-offs

Center-ice middle rows are the premium choice. Front rows behind either bench put you beside the players but behind their shoulders, and glass seats deliver sound and speed while making the far end hard to follow.

Upper-deck blind spots near the press box

Upper-level rake is sharp. It keeps sightlines to the ice clear, but a tall fan one row down can block more of your view than in a shallower bowl.

The more specific warning: according to the same fan guide, the press box cuts off the hanging scoreboard for anyone in row F or above in sections 211 through 217. You still see the ice; you lose the replays and the clock on the big screen and rely on smaller boards instead. If replays matter to you, pick a lower row in those sections or a different section entirely.

Elsewhere in the upper level, center sections are the budget way to watch the game develop, and end sections sell for the least.

Vancouver, Vegas and a November in Helsinki

The league moved to an 84-game schedule in 2026–27, half of it at home, with only four preseason games. This season opened September 29, 2026, and closes April 10, 2027. Seattle also crosses the Atlantic to face Carolina in Finland's capital on November 12 and 14, 2026, which leaves a hole in the home schedule that month.

  • Vancouver Canucks: Seattle's nearest NHL neighbor is up I-5, and weekend dates draw a visible Canucks contingent.
  • Vegas Golden Knights: the other recent expansion club, and the team Seattle faced outdoors on New Year's Day 2024.
  • Colorado and Dallas: Seattle's two playoff opponents in 2023.
  • Saturdays and the holiday stretch: families and visitors fill these dates.

Weeknight games against Eastern Conference visitors with smaller followings offer the widest choice, and their resale prices often ease near puck drop.

Your ticket is your transit pass

The team's current game-day guide says a Kraken ticket doubles as a free ride on Link light rail and the Seattle Center Monorail. Most fans ride Link into Westlake, then hop the monorail for the roughly 90 seconds it takes to reach Seattle Center; Metro buses cover the area too. One catch from Sound Transit: tapping a contactless bank card will not pay a regular monorail fare, so rely on the event pass or ORCA.

Driving is possible but slower. The team lists three garages:

  • Arena Garage: linked to the arena by an underground tunnel, with EV charging.
  • 1st Ave N Garage: to the south.
  • 5th Ave Garage: across Seattle Center to the east.

Expect a long wait to exit any of them after a full house. See the Kraken game-day guide for current details.

One bag, Just Walk Out stands and no re-entry

The arena's posted rules, as of this season:

  • Bags: a single bag per person, transparent or not, at most 14 x 14 x 6 inches; a clutch can be no larger than 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches.
  • Screening: if it is larger than a clutch, even a clear, medical or diaper bag, use the X-ray lines at entry 1, 8 or 11.
  • Re-entry: not permitted.
  • Payment: cashless. Just Walk Out stands charge your card or phone as you leave; a reverse ATM near section 4 on the main concourse turns cash into a prepaid card.
  • Tickets: mobile, in the team and arena app.

Check the arena guide before game day. Every Reserved Seat order comes with guaranteed entry.

KeyArena's roof, No. 32 and Buoy

League governors approved Seattle without a dissenting vote on December 4, 2018. In July 2020 the club took its name from a sea creature out of Scandinavian folklore, and the first home game came on October 23, 2021. The owners are led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Tod Leiweke and Samantha Holloway.

Seattle hockey goes back much further. In 1917 the Seattle Metropolitans became the first American club to lift the Stanley Cup.

  • 1962: on April 21 the structure debuts as a pavilion for Seattle's Century 21 world's fair; decades later it is KeyArena.
  • 2020: Amazon buys the naming rights.
  • 2021: the rebuilt arena reopens October 19; at the first home game, No. 32 goes to the rafters, one for each thousand of the 32,000 people who put down deposits the first day they could.
  • 2022: Buoy, a sea-troll mascot inspired by the Fremont Troll, arrives in October.
  • 2023: a 100-point season and a first-round win over defending champion Colorado ahead of an exit against Dallas in round two.
  • 2024: a 3–0 Winter Classic loss to Vegas at T-Mobile Park before 47,313.

Practices happen in Northgate, at the Kraken Community Iceplex beside a Link stop. Arena co-tenants are the WNBA's Storm and, from 2025, the PWHL's Torrent.

Frequently asked questions

Is section 12 at Climate Pledge Arena in the lower bowl?

Yes. The lower bowl uses sections 1 to 26, the loge level 101 to 126 and the upper level 201 to 226, so section 112 is loge, above section 12.

Which upper-level seats have a blocked view of the video boards?

Per a 2023 fan guide, row F and up in sections 211 through 217 sit where the press box hides the hanging scoreboard.

Does my Kraken ticket include the monorail?

Yes, according to the team's current game-day guide; the ticket works as a pass on the monorail and on Link.

How many bags can I bring to a Kraken game?

Just one, no larger than 14 x 14 x 6 inches, or a small clutch. Anything bigger than a clutch is screened by X-ray at entry 1, 8 or 11.

Which sections see the Kraken attack twice?

Sound of Hockey's 2023 guide names lower-bowl sections 3 through 12 and the loge sections just above. Verify with the team before you buy.

When did Seattle first win the Stanley Cup?

In 1917, when the Seattle Metropolitans became the first American champions. The Kraken, who began play in 2021–22, have not won it.
