Seattle Mariners Tickets

Best value: View Level behind home plate · roof covers, never seals

T-Mobile Park's roof keeps rain off but lets the Seattle air in. That one fact shapes which Mariners seat is right for you.

Upcoming Seattle Mariners dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Mariners seat choice: the View Level wins on value

For most Seattle Mariners games, the best buy at T-Mobile Park is a View Level (300) seat behind home plate, roughly the low-to-mid 320s. From there the entire diamond sits in front of downtown's towers, and at night games the sun goes down beyond left field. If you want to watch pitch movement up close, buy an infield seat in the 100 level, but aim for the middle rows rather than the very front.

Then think about weather. The roof here covers the field when it is closed, but the building stays open on the sides, so cool air and wind still reach many seats. A covered row deep inside a level is the safe choice on a wet night.

  • Best value: View Level behind home plate.
  • Best city and water view: Lookout Landing, the upper-deck perch along the left field line.
  • Best for watching pitches: infield 100 level, middle rows.
  • Best for wandering: The 'Pen standing area by the bullpens.

What the T-Mobile Park roof does and does not do

Spanning roughly nine acres, the movable roof needs 10 to 20 minutes to slide into place, and even then it leaves the park unsealed. With the roof shut, the sides remain open, so rain is kept off the field and most seats, but evening chill and gusts still come through.

  • Practical result: games rarely stop for rain, but you can still get cold.
  • Exposed seats: rows along the open edges and at the outer rim of the upper deck feel gusts and sideways rain.
  • What to bring: a jacket for any night game in April, May or September, whatever the roof is doing.

Seattle moved in on July 15, 1999, leaving the Kingdome behind; the building carried the Safeco Field name until January 1, 2019.

Main Concourse, Club and View Level compared

For baseball the park holds 47,368, per Wikipedia, in three tiers that each wrap the field between the foul poles.

Main Concourse (100 level)

About 20,500 seats, the closest to the field. The infield sections between the dugouts are the place for plays at the bases and pitch movement. Seattle's bench is on the first base side according to Ballparks of Baseball, the lone source for it, so check the team's seat map before paying a premium for the home side. Middle rows usually beat the first few, because the extra height lifts your eye line over the dugout roofs and netting.

Club Level (200 level)

Fewer seats, set over the suites, with club perks included.

View Level (300 level)

About 15,900 seats in the upper deck, with skyline and water views. This is where the value sits.

Outfield

  • Left field bleachers sit above the bullpens, close enough to watch relievers warm up.
  • Center field bleachers sit above the batter's eye (the dark backdrop that helps hitters pick up the pitch) and directly in front of the main video board, so replays and the line score are behind you.
  • The 'Pen is standing room beside the bullpens, built for fans who would rather roam than sit.

When Mariners tickets get scarce

The regular season runs 162 games, about half at home, from late March or early April to late September, with October reserved for teams that qualify.

  • The opener and the first homestand move quickly no matter who is visiting.
  • June, July and August weekends draw the biggest crowds. Those are the city's driest months, and tourists compete with locals for seats.
  • Division and regional rivals, such as Houston and the Angels, along with interleague visits from San Diego, sell better than an ordinary midweek set.
  • Blue Jays visits fill the stands with Toronto fans, and the 2025 postseason meeting sharpened that matchup.
  • Giveaways and number-retirement nights lift late demand.

April and September weeknights against teams out of the race are the easiest seats to find. On the resale market (tickets resold by other fans), those dates tend to soften as first pitch nears, while weekends and pennant-race games tend to climb.

Link light rail, the garage and the clear-bag rule

T-Mobile Park is at 1250 First Avenue South in SoDo (the industrial and stadium district just south of downtown), next to Lumen Field. Ride Link light rail to Stadium station and walk a few minutes. King Street Station, with Amtrak and Sounder commuter trains, is close by, as is the First Hill Streetcar, and you can walk south from the waterfront piers.

An attached garage has room for about 1,800 vehicles. As of the 2026 season, the team does not sell those spots ahead of time; they go to whoever arrives first. Allow extra time when the Seahawks, the Sounders or a stadium concert are in the neighborhood the same day.

As of the 2026 season, the Mariners ballpark guide sets these rules:

  • Bags: a transparent bag within 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or a clear one-gallon zip-top; a clutch may measure no more than 4.5 by 6.5 inches.
  • Backpacks: not permitted.
  • Gates: two hours early at The 'Pen entrances, the Center Field Gate among them, and 90 minutes early elsewhere.
  • Payment and re-entry: cashless, and no re-entry.

For food, try Edgar's Cantina out in the left field corner or the Bullpen Market near the relievers. Every Reserved Seat order is backed by a 100% guarantee.

Road trips and spring games in Peoria

Most AL road cities sit far from the Pacific Northwest, so the Seattle fans you see in away ballparks tend to be people who moved there, not people who flew in. The shortest hops are to Southern California for Angels and Padres games, where groups in Mariners gear are easy to spot. Toronto flips the pattern: Blue Jays supporters pour into Seattle, and plenty of Mariners fans answer with a trip of their own across the border.

For a closer, quieter look at the club, go to spring training. The Mariners have trained at the Peoria Sports Complex in Arizona since 1993, and Cactus League games, played in small parks, fill late February and March.

Griffey, Edgar, Ichiro and 116 wins

An AL West member since its first pitch in 1977, Seattle came into the league through expansion. It is still waiting for its first pennant and World Series trip, which makes every October berth an event.

  • 1995: "The Double." Edgar Martinez's walk-off double beat the Yankees in Game 5 of the Division Series and sent Seattle to its first ALCS.
  • 1999: the club left the Kingdome for its SoDo home.
  • 2001: 116 regular-season wins, tying the 1906 Chicago Cubs for the most ever, and the All-Star Game in Seattle.
  • 2022: a wild card spot snapped 21 straight seasons without the playoffs.
  • 2023: the All-Star Game returned to the ballpark.
  • 2025: an AL West title, a Division Series win over Detroit and a seven-game ALCS loss to Toronto.

The club's division titles came in 1995, 1997, 2001 and 2025, with wild card trips in 2000 and 2022. Three retired numbers define the franchise: Ken Griffey Jr.'s 24 (2016), Edgar Martinez's 11 (2017) and Ichiro Suzuki's 51 (2025). The mascot is the Mariner Moose, and locals call the team "the M's."

Frequently asked questions

Is the View Level at T-Mobile Park worth it?

Yes. Upper-deck seats behind the plate, in roughly the low-to-mid 320s, put the full field in front of the city skyline, usually for much less than a lower-bowl seat.

Will I stay dry at a Mariners game when it rains?

Mostly. The closed roof shelters the field and most seats, yet the open sides let weather in, so seats near the edges and in the outer upper-deck rows can still catch blowing rain.

What is Lookout Landing?

A spot on the upper deck along the left field line, popular for its look at downtown and Puget Sound.

Are the center field bleachers a good seat?

They cost little, but the main video board is behind them, so replays and the line score require turning around. The left field bleachers overlook the bullpens instead.

Can I bring a backpack to T-Mobile Park?

Not as of 2026. A transparent bag within 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a clear one-gallon zip-top or a 4.5-by-6.5-inch clutch is what gets in.

How many games did the 2001 Mariners win?

116 in the regular season, matching the 1906 Chicago Cubs for the all-time record.
