Upcoming Utah Mammoth dates
Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Mammoth seats: start at the sidelines
At a Utah Mammoth game, buy a sideline seat at center ice. TickPick identifies sections 7 and 18 in the lower bowl and sections 112 and 132 in the upper bowl as the center-ice views. Those are the safest seats in Delta Center, a building designed around a shorter basketball court that is still being reshaped for hockey.
- Lower bowl anywhere: the 2025 rebuild aimed for full sightlines from every lower-bowl seat at NHL games.
- Upper-bowl ends and corners: check for a partial-view note before you buy.
- Watch Utah attack twice: the end with upper section 125, per RateYourSeats.
- Get there by train: TRAX stops at Arena Station, beside the building.
Why sightlines matter more in this building
Delta Center, at 301 West South Temple, opened in 1991 as a basketball arena. A basketball court is shorter than a hockey rink, and before the renovation, sources estimated that only about 10,000 to 12,000 of roughly 16,000 hockey seats had a full view; many upper-end seats lost sight of the nearest goal.
Phase one, 2025
From April to September 2025, crews raised the floor 2 feet, extended the bowl 12 feet at each end and installed a custom movable riser system in the lower bowl. The work added more than 1,100 lower-bowl seats, with the stated aim of full sightlines from every lower-bowl seat for hockey. The team counts home attendance by full-view seats only, listed at 12,478 for 2025–26.
What comes next
A second phase, with terrace-style ledges and sideline gondolas, was planned to run from May 2026 to before the 2026–27 season, with a third phase after that. Whether every piece is finished when you attend is something to confirm on the current seat map.
Section 7, section 18 and the upper-bowl center pair
The lower bowl uses one- and two-digit section numbers, and the upper bowl runs from 101 to 140. TickPick places the player benches in front of sections 6 to 8.
Lower bowl
Section 7 sits at center ice on the bench side and section 18 at center ice across from it. On the bench side, the lowest rows can put standing players in your view, so a few rows up is the better seat. With the rebuilt bowl, end and corner seats downstairs are a reasonable buy too.
Upper bowl
Sections 112 and 132 are the center-ice picks upstairs. From there you see line changes and the whole sheet, and you avoid the end-zone sightline problems described below.
The attack-twice end
The home team attacks the same net in the first and third periods. RateYourSeats places Utah's two-period net at the end with upper section 125, a section of 21 rows. Confirm on your listing and in warmups.
Upstairs ends and corners: read the label
This is the one part of the building where a careless purchase costs you. TickPick's guide marks upper sections 101 to 107, 117 to 127 and 137 to 140 as partial ice views, and RateYourSeats describes upper seats behind the nets and in the corners as restricted.
Those notes describe the upper bowl before and during the renovation, and the layout is still changing. Treat them as a warning rather than a verdict:
- Look for a partial-view or limited-view label on any upstairs end or corner listing.
- If the listing says nothing, compare it against the current Delta Center seat map.
- If in doubt, pay a little more for an upper sideline seat or drop to the lower bowl.
Avalanche, Golden Knights and the Central calendar
From 2026–27, NHL teams play 84 regular-season games, 42 at home, after a four-game preseason in September; the 2026–27 schedule runs September 29, 2026, to April 10, 2027. UTA, the local transit agency, lists Mammoth home dates from October through April.
- Colorado Avalanche: the nearest NHL market and a natural division rival.
- Vegas Golden Knights: the opponent in Utah's first playoff series, in 2026.
- Central Division clubs: Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago and the rest matter most late in the season.
- Opening night, Saturdays and the playoffs: the dates that go first.
Full-view capacity is small by NHL standards, so good sideline seats can be scarce. Listings are mostly resale and shift with the opponent, the night and the standings. Weeknights against Eastern Conference teams on their single visit are usually the easiest dates to find.
TRAX to Arena Station and game-night logistics
UTA directs event traffic to the TRAX Green Line or Blue Line, which stops at Arena Station next to the building. Light rail sidesteps downtown congestion, and January and February storms that slow I-15 make it even more appealing. Check UTA for fares and late-night service.
- Parking: a 450-stall structure was being built as part of the renovation, targeted for completion before 2026–27. Downtown garages and lots also serve events, with rates that vary.
- Arrival: door times are on your ticket; warmups are when fans line the glass.
- Bags and tickets: as of the 2025–26 season, NHL arenas generally use mobile entry and limit bag size. Check Delta Center's current policy before you go.

Coyotes assets, a fan vote and a first playoff spring
The NHL Board of Governors granted Ryan Smith a franchise on April 18, 2024. Utah acquired the Arizona Coyotes' players, coaching staff and draft picks, while the Coyotes franchise, with its name, logo and history, was made inactive. The arrangement resembles the 1996 Cleveland Browns case, in which the Browns name stayed in Cleveland when the football operation moved to Baltimore.
- October 8, 2024: the first game, a 5–2 win over Chicago, with Dylan Guenther scoring the first goal.
- 2024–25: a season under the placeholder name Utah Hockey Club, with the Jazz Bear filling in as mascot.
- May 7, 2025: the Mammoth name, chosen through a fan vote, is unveiled.
- October 15, 2025: Tusky, a woolly mammoth, becomes the mascot.
- 2025–26: a 43–33–6 record, the West's first wild card, and a first in league history: 82 games without a single shootout since the tiebreaker arrived in 2005.
- April 24, 2026: the first home playoff game, in a six-game first-round loss to Vegas.
Smith Entertainment Group also owns the Jazz, who share Delta Center. A practice facility in Sandy, Utah, broke ground in August 2024.
