Upcoming Atlanta Braves dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

The short list for a Braves seat

For most fans, the best Braves seat at Truist Park is on the first base side, a few rows back from the field, inside the dugouts. Ballpark E-Guides and SeatSecrets both locate the home dugout along first base, and it is also the side that falls into shade first on a summer afternoon. For value, look at the Terrace infield (sections 216–218) or the Vista infield (sections 325–327). For guaranteed cover, go to the 400 level.

Capacity is 41,108, and the park lies in suburban Cobb County, roughly a 10-mile drive northwest of the city center. The home schedule opens around the start of April and closes at the end of September; October dates depend on a playoff berth.

Field, Terrace, Vista and Grandstand

Seating guides describe four main tiers, plus premium clubs behind home plate.

  • Field (100 level): closest to the action. Between the dugouts you see the pitcher-hitter battle up close, and these seats carry the highest demand.
  • Terrace (200 level): a raised view that keeps you near the infield. SeatSecrets likes sections 216–218 here, which put you up a level but still right beside the home dugout.
  • Vista (300 level): from sections 325–327 you take in every base and the outfield, usually at a lower price than the level below.
  • Grandstand (400 level): the top tier is the most distant, yet nearly every seat sits beneath the canopy.

Ballpark E-Guides maps the Braves bench to about sections 16–21 and the visiting bench, along third base, to about sections 31–35. Double-check those numbers against the map with your listing if being behind Atlanta's bench is worth extra to you. Field dimensions run 335 feet to left, 400 to center and 325 to right.

Front rows, far corners and other catches

  • The first two rows of certain lower sections: a plexiglass rail sits in your sightline. Moving back three or four rows usually improves things.
  • Deep right field: in a few sections, the Chop House fence hides a slice of the playing field.
  • Coca-Cola Corner: high in the left-field corner, these seats are close to the maximum distance from the plate and get full sun.
  • The last rows of the 400 level: cool and covered, though the canopy can cut off part of the big video board.

Canopy cover on hot Georgia afternoons

Roughly three in five seats sit under the park's metal canopy, which makes it kinder on hot days than many open-air ballparks. A July or August day game still rewards a careful choice.

  • First base side: shade arrives earlier here, which adds to its appeal for afternoon games.
  • Third base side: sun lingers longer, especially in the low rows.
  • Field-level seats past row 10 or so: generally covered.
  • 400 level: nearly all shaded.

For night games, sunlight is a concern only for an inning or two after a summer first pitch. After that, choose on view and budget.

Opponents and dates with the biggest crowds

MLB teams play 162 games, 81 at home. Spring training takes place in North Port, Florida, at CoolToday Park; the All-Star Game splits the summer in mid-July, and a 12-team postseason can last into early November. The balanced schedule in place since 2023 brings every team to town and gives the Braves 13 games against each NL East rival.

  • New York and Philadelphia: Mets and Phillies weekends usually draw the most buyers among division games, and the Mets rivalry grew sharper once realignment in 1994 made them division foes.
  • Miami and Washington: the other division rivals fill many dates.
  • The calendar: the home opener and the late-May and early-July holiday weekends sell ahead of ordinary weeknights.
  • Giveaway nights: promotions lift demand and can mean earlier gates.
  • Day of the week: Friday and Saturday nights are hardest; Monday through Wednesday is easiest.
  • October: playoff demand dwarfs anything in the regular season.

Buses, shuttles, lots and the bag rule

The address is 755 Battery Avenue SE, in Cumberland. No train reaches it, so you will be on a bus or behind the wheel. Options listed by the club:

  • MARTA: ride the 12 bus out of Midtown Station in the Cumberland Mall direction, then hop on the Cumberland Circulator, which drops you at The Battery.
  • CobbLinc: the Route 10 stop is a walk of under half a mile; the route does not operate on Sundays.
  • Driving: reserve a spot ahead of time through the Braves parking page; lots selling on game day take cards, not cash.

Pregame life centers on The Battery Atlanta, a mixed-use neighborhood of bars, restaurants, stores, offices and homes wrapped around the ballpark. Expect patios and dinner reservations rather than grills in a parking lot. Once inside, visit the Monument Garden, home to a Hank Aaron statue and a large artwork tracing the club's past.

Rules published for 2026 are below; verify them in the Truist Park guest guide:

  • Bags: banned, with exceptions for medical, breast pump, diaper and ADA-required bags and for a clutch or clear bag with one compartment no bigger than 5 by 9 inches. You can rent a locker for anything else.
  • Food and water: outside food is fine if it fits in a see-through gallon bag, and each ticket holder may bring a single unopened plastic water bottle.
  • Gates: open 120 minutes ahead of first pitch, cut to 80 minutes for weekday afternoon games.
  • Re-entry: once you leave, your ticket will not get you back in.

Boston, Milwaukee, Atlanta: 150-plus years

No pro sports club in North America has operated without interruption longer. It started life in 1871 as Boston's Red Stockings, relocated to Milwaukee for 1953 and arrived in Atlanta for 1966. Each stop produced a championship, a feat unmatched in MLB: Boston celebrated in 1914, Milwaukee in 1957, and Atlanta in 1995 and again in 2021.

  • Pennants: 18 in the National League.
  • The run: a record 14 division championships in a row spanning 1991–2005, part of 24 overall, the most in the NL.
  • Hank Aaron: on April 8, 1974, in Atlanta, home run number 715 moved him past Babe Ruth.
  • Retired numbers: eleven numbers are retired, Aaron's 44, Maddux's 31 and Chipper Jones's 10 among them.

After two decades at Turner Field, the team moved to Cobb County in 2017. Opening night under the SunTrust Park name, April 14, 2017, ended in a 5–2 victory over San Diego; a banking merger produced the Truist name in January 2020. The middle three games of the 2021 World Series were played here, and so was the July 15, 2025, All-Star Game. Fans still perform the tomahawk chop, the chant-and-arm gesture that caught on in 1991, despite long-running objections from Native American groups.
