Indiana Pacers Tickets

Gainbridge Fieldhouse · sweet spot: center court, rows 8–15

A basketball-first fieldhouse keeps the lower bowl tight to the court. Decide sideline, baseline or balcony before you reserve a Pacers seat.

Upcoming Indiana Pacers dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Your Pacers seat in one minute

The best seat for an Indiana Pacers game is in the lower bowl at center court, roughly rows 8 to 15. Gainbridge Fieldhouse was planned around basketball, so the lower bowl hugs the floor and even its middle rows feel close. For the strongest value, look at the front rows of the balcony along either sideline.

Use this quick sort:

  • Best overall view: lower-bowl sideline, mid-height rows.
  • Closest to one basket: lower baseline, a few rows up.
  • Best value: balcony sideline, front rows.
  • Most comfort: loge boxes and sideline club seating.

The home schedule runs October into April, 41 dates in all, plus postseason games when the team qualifies.

How the fieldhouse stacks its seats

The fieldhouse at 125 South Pennsylvania Street took over from Market Square Arena on November 6, 1999. Its brick-and-glass shell borrows the look of Indiana's high school and college gyms. Capacity for basketball is 17,274, down from 18,345 when the doors first opened. The WNBA's Indiana Fever have played here since 2000.

The arena names four levels, from the floor up:

  • Main Concourse, which serves the lower bowl.
  • Krieg DeVault Level, a premium level above it.
  • KeyBank Suite Level, the suite ring.
  • Balcony Level, the upper bowl.

Section numbers come in three series: single and double digits at courtside, 100s downstairs, 200s upstairs. Because a section number alone can mislead, open the listing's seat map and confirm which side of the court you are on.

It opened as Conseco Fieldhouse, was renamed Bankers Life Fieldhouse in 2011 and has carried the Gainbridge name since 2021. Work completed late in 2022 gave it an outdoor plaza and new spaces to gather inside.

Trade-offs, from courtside to the balcony

Front rows behind courtside

These seats sit at the eye level of standing players. The energy is high, but bodies and benches block parts of the floor. If you want to follow plays, move up several rows.

Lower-bowl sideline

This is the view a coach would pick: centered, close and high enough to see spacing on both ends. Demand is highest here, especially at midcourt.

Baseline and corners

Behind the basket you get drives and free throws head on, but the far end flattens. The lowest baseline rows can also peer through the basket support. Corners split the difference with a diagonal look at both hoops.

Balcony

The bulk of the budget inventory lives up here. The front rows at midcourt show the whole floor and the court design clearly. Skip the top rows in the balcony corners, which are steep and far from the play.

Premium boxes and club seats

These bundle food, drink and room to spread out. They suit groups and client nights. The sightline is good, though no better than a mid-height sideline seat in the lower bowl.

Pacers dates with the tightest inventory

An NBA season means a short October preseason, 82 regular-season games from October to April (NBA Cup group games in late fall count toward the record), and then a postseason that opens with the play-in round and can last into June.

  • New York Knicks. Three decades of playoff history, from Reggie Miller in the 1990s to the 2025 East finals, and a visiting crowd that shows up in force.
  • Detroit Pistons. Bad blood inside the Central Division, never forgotten since the 2004 brawl at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
  • Chicago Bulls. An easy drive up Interstate 65 brings visiting fans who fill the balcony.
  • Saturday and holiday dates. Families come in from around the state.

Midweek visits by Western Conference teams usually leave the widest choice of seats. A long playoff run also tends to keep the next season's demand up, even when the roster turns over.

Downtown Indianapolis on game night

Downtown is compact, so many visitors simply walk from a hotel or restaurant. Drivers can use the Virginia Avenue Garage, entered from Maryland Street, which has a third-floor link straight into the arena. Several other garages are a short walk away, and ParkWhiz sells passes ahead of time, worth doing if the Colts or a big convention share the night. IndyGo buses also run nearby.

The 2025–26 rules cap bags at 6 by 10 by 2 inches and turn away backpacks and hard-sided bags entirely. You enter with a mobile ticket in the Ticketmaster app, you cannot leave and return, and smoking is not permitted anywhere inside. Confirm the current rules in the fieldhouse's A–Z guide.

Pacers fans do not tailgate in the football sense. The pregame routine is dinner nearby or a drink on the new plaza, and the crowd is unusually knowledgeable, shaped by Indiana's high school game. Orders on Reserved Seat include guaranteed entry.

ABA roots and playoff nights in Indianapolis

Indiana began in 1967 as a charter club of the American Basketball Association (ABA), the rival league absorbed by the NBA in 1976. The name points to the Indianapolis 500 pace car and to harness racing's pacers. Home was the State Fairgrounds Coliseum until 1974 and Market Square Arena for the next 25 years.

  • ABA dominance. Championships in 1970, 1972 and 1973, built around future Hall of Famers Mel Daniels, Roger Brown and George McGinnis.
  • 1994. In Game 5 of that spring's East finals, Reggie Miller poured in 25 and aimed the choke sign at Spike Lee, the Knicks' best-known fan.
  • 1995. Miller scored eight in 8.9 seconds to steal a playoff win from New York.
  • 2000. The first NBA Finals, lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.
  • 2025. A 125–108 home win over the Knicks on May 31 clinched the East, and the Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder went the full seven games.

An NBA championship has never come. Larry Bird later coached the team and ran its front office, and the 2024 NBA All-Star Game was played in the fieldhouse. Rosters turn over fast, so look at the team's site before buying around one player.

Which rows give the best view of a Pacers game?

Center-court rows in the lower bowl, roughly 8 to 15 rows up, give a close, centered view of both ends.

Are balcony seats at Gainbridge Fieldhouse worth buying?

Yes, at the front. Balcony rows nearest the rail at midcourt show the full floor and are usually easier to buy than lower-bowl seats; avoid the top corner rows.

Which garage connects to Gainbridge Fieldhouse?

The Virginia Avenue Garage, entered from Maryland Street, connects to the arena through its third floor.

What was the arena called before Gainbridge Fieldhouse?

Conseco Fieldhouse from 1999, then Bankers Life Fieldhouse from 2011. The Gainbridge name arrived in 2021.

How many titles have the Pacers won?

Indiana won ABA championships in 1970, 1972 and 1973. Its two NBA Finals appearances, in 2000 and 2025, ended in defeat.
