Sweet spot: lower sideline rows 8–15 · 19,173 seats for hockey

Flyers games happen at the end of the Broad Street Line in a building with five names. Getting in is easy; picking the right row takes a little thought.

Upcoming Philadelphia Flyers dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Flyers seat call at Xfinity Mobile Arena

The best all-around seat for a Philadelphia Flyers game is a lower-level sideline seat near center ice, rows 8 to 15. Xfinity Mobile Arena seats 19,173 for hockey, and those rows sit high enough to look over the glass and the benches while keeping you close to the speed of the game.

  • Most hockey for the money: center-ice sections of the 200 level.
  • Close to the noise: row 1 at the glass, best on the straight sides.
  • Least expensive: 200-level end sections behind the nets.
  • Pass on: the corner glass, where the curve distorts what you see.

The 2026–27 regular season starts September 29, 2026, and ends April 10, 2027, with the playoffs after that.

101–124, the club ring and 201–224

The arena opened on August 12, 1996, at 3601 South Broad Street, beside the site of the Spectrum, the Flyers' home from 1967 to 1996. The 76ers share the building and its section numbers, so a seat map from a basketball listing shows the same sections.

Lower level, sections 101 to 124

The ring around the rink, with the glass rows in front. Benches and penalty boxes sit on the sides, so the first rows directly behind them see players' backs as much as the play.

Club level

Between the two bowls, with club boxes and suites. The arena lists 126 suites and 1,880 club-box seats. Choose it for comfort and service rather than a dramatically better angle.

Upper level, sections 201 to 224

The mezzanine, the biggest tier. It is steep, which keeps sightlines clean, and hockey reads well from above.

These ranges come from the arena's published layout as summarized by seating guides. Check the exact section on the map at checkout.

Center ice, corners and the glass in South Philly

Three decisions shape your night more than the price tag.

Side or end

From the side, play runs left to right in front of you and both nets stay in view. From the end, rushes come straight at you, which is exciting but makes depth hard to judge at the far net. The 200-level end sections are the least expensive seats in the building for that reason.

Which end

Every NHL home team attacks one net in the first and third periods. For the Flyers, that end has not been confirmed in the sources behind this page, and most seat maps do not show it. If seeing two periods of Flyers offense matters to you, check the team's seating chart or a seat-view guide, then confirm during warmups.

How low

The glass row is about sound and contact: skates cutting ice, shoulders hitting boards. In the corners, curved glass bends the picture. Rows 8 to 15 on the sides are the compromise most regulars settle on. Higher up, a front-row 200-level seat at center often shows more of the game than a back-row lower seat behind a net.

Penguins week, Rangers week: when demand spikes

Starting in 2026–27, teams play 84 regular-season games, 42 at home, after a four-game preseason in September. Playoffs run from April into June.

  • Pittsburgh Penguins: the Battle of Pennsylvania dates to the first game ever played at the Spectrum, on October 19, 1967. The clubs have met eight times in the playoffs, from 1989 through 2026, and Pittsburgh fans make the drive across the state.
  • New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils: division rivals a train ride away, which means a real visiting crowd.
  • Saturdays and the holiday stretch: families and visitors push these up.
  • Playoffs: the year's top demand, with prices reacting to each result.

A Tuesday or Wednesday against a Western Conference visitor gives you the widest pick of sections. On quiet nights, listings tend to drop in the final hours; against Pittsburgh, they seldom do.

Broad Street Line to NRG: the easy way in

Take SEPTA's Broad Street Line south from Center City to NRG station, the last stop, and walk to the arena. You skip the I-95 and Broad Street traffic that builds before puck drop.

Driving means the Sports Complex lots around the arena. As of the arena tenants' current FAQ, those lots no longer take cash, and buying parking ahead is recommended. Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park share the complex, so an Eagles, Phillies or 76ers event on the same day makes parking and traffic noticeably worse. Check the complex calendar before you go.

Flyers fans also travel well. Pittsburgh, New York, New Jersey and Long Island are all a drive or a train ride away, and orange jerseys are easy to spot in those buildings.

Backpacks out, cash out: arena rules

As of the arena's current guest services page:

  • Small clutches and purses under 4.5 by 6.5 inches skip X-ray screening.
  • Bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches are allowed after X-ray at the Broad Street, 11th Street and premium entrances.
  • Backpacks are prohibited.
  • Payment is cashless; reverse ATMs convert cash to a prepaid card.
  • Re-entry is generally not allowed.
  • Tickets are mobile. Load them in the team app or your phone wallet before the gate, since screenshots do not scan.

Confirm on the arena's guest services page before game day. Every Reserved Seat order is backed by a 100% guarantee.

Bullies, a 35-game streak and the arena that comes next

Philadelphia joined the NHL in the 1967 expansion that doubled the league from six teams to twelve, and within seven seasons it became the first of the new clubs to win the Stanley Cup, in 1974 and again in 1975. Captain Bobby Clarke and goaltender Bernie Parent led teams whose physical style earned the name Broad Street Bullies. The franchise has been to the Final eight times, losing in 1976, 1980, 1985, 1987, 1997 and 2010.

  • 1979–80: 35 straight games without a loss, 25 wins and 10 ties.
  • 2010: down 3–0 in a series against Boston, and down 3–0 in Game 7, the Flyers came back to win. Game 6 of that year's Final set the arena record of 20,327.
  • 2012: the Winter Classic against the Rangers at Citizens Bank Park, before 46,967.
  • 2018: Gritty, the orange mascot, debuts and becomes an internet celebrity within days.
  • 2019: a 4–3 overtime win over Pittsburgh in the Stadium Series at Lincoln Financial Field, before 69,620. The same year, the team stopped playing Kate Smith's "God Bless America."

The building has gone by CoreStates Center, First Union Center, Wachovia Center, Wells Fargo Center (2010–2025) and, since 2025, Xfinity Mobile Arena, so older listings may still say Wells Fargo Center. It will not be the last home. In January 2025, Comcast Spectacor, Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment and the city announced a privately financed replacement arena in the Sports Complex, with reported opening targets of 2030 or 2031. Treat that date as tentative.
