Los Angeles Angels Tickets

Angel Stadium · Terrace (200s) is the shade zone · Angels on 3B side

Southern California sun makes shade the first question at Angel Stadium; the home dugout, the Freeway Series and the train ride in come next.

Upcoming Los Angeles Angels dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

The Angel Stadium seat to buy, and why

For most Los Angeles Angels games, the seat to buy is an infield Terrace Level seat (the 200 sections) between the bases. The Club Level hangs over the Terrace, keeping it shaded through bright Anaheim afternoons, and the height lets you watch fielders shift while staying close enough to see pitches move. If watching the home bench matters more, guides locate the Angels dugout along third base, roughly sections 110 through 112.

  • All-around pick: infield Terrace, 200s.
  • Home-team view: third-base Field Level, from the home dugout to the plate.
  • Budget pick: infield seats in the 400s and 500s.
  • Home run hunting: low rows (1 through 10) of the outfield lower bowl.

The city-owned ballpark at 2000 Gene Autry Way holds roughly 45,500 people (45,517 per Wikipedia).

How the Big A's tiers are numbered

Seating guides break the park into four groups. Use them to read any listing:

  • Field Level (100s): the uncovered lower bowl, about sections 101 to 135, wrapping from one outfield corner past home plate to the other. Rows typically run A to Z, though counts vary, so check the map for your section.
  • Terrace Level (200s): the next ring up; its outfield portion, the Pavilion, carries numbers from about 236 into the 250s.
  • Club Level (300s): premium seats that come with indoor lounge privileges.
  • View Level (400s and 500s): the top tiers, where infield seats cost the least.

Beyond the left-center wall is the California Spectrum, a man-made rock formation with geysers and a stream, added during the 1996 to 1998 renovation that turned the stadium back into a baseball-only park after its years hosting the NFL's Rams.

Beating the Anaheim sun at day games

The Field Level has no roof over it, and summer afternoons in Orange County are hot and bright. Three rules help:

  • The Terrace is the safest shade. Most of the 200 level sits beneath the Club Level overhang.
  • The third-base upper deck shades from row L. In sections 511 to 526, seats from about row L up are generally out of the sun at day games.
  • Closer to the plate shades sooner. Field Level seats near home plate fall into shadow before seats down the lines.

At a typical evening start, the sun fades after a couple of innings. For a weekend matinee, the extra cost of a Terrace seat is money well spent.

Corners and Pavilion rows: seats to pass on

  • Field Level corners near the foul poles: the seats point toward center field, so you watch nine innings with your head turned, and they roast at afternoon games.
  • Upper rows of the outfield Pavilion: far from the infield, with little sense of the pitch.
  • Low uncovered rows for a 1 p.m. start: close to the action, but expect direct sun for most of the game.

Freeway Series and the busiest Angels dates

Each spring the club trains in the Cactus League at Tempe Diablo Stadium, in Tempe, Arizona. The Angels then play 81 home dates between late March and late September, with October games for clubs that qualify.

  • Los Angeles Dodgers: the Freeway Series began with the first regular-season meeting in 1997, when interleague play arrived. There are four or six meetings each season, half in each park, and blue-clad Dodger fans claim much of the Anaheim crowd on those nights.
  • Opening Day: always a strong seller.
  • Friday and Saturday nights: especially fireworks and giveaway nights.
  • AL West rivals and marquee visitors: demand climbs late in a race.

For the deepest inventory, shop Tuesday through Thursday games early and late in the season. Resale prices react to the standings and the pitching matchups, and weekend and rivalry listings usually tighten as game day approaches.

ARTIC, the lots and rideshare in Anaheim

The ballpark is at the I-5 and SR-57 interchange, close to the Disneyland resort.

  • By rail: ARTIC, the regional transit hub at 2626 East Katella Avenue, handles Metrolink Orange County Line and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains. Walk across the SR-57 bridge and you reach the northeast parking gate in minutes. Confirm return train times before a night game.
  • By car: you can enter from Douglass Road, State College Boulevard or Orangewood Avenue, and lots open two and a half hours ahead of the stadium gates. For 2026, payment is card-only, comes in general and preferred tiers, and costs slightly more online than at the lot. Office parks nearby often sell cheaper game-day parking.
  • By rideshare: after the game, meet your driver at the Gate 1 lot, where red light poles mark the pickup zone.

Lot rules and rates change; check the Angel Stadium ballpark guide for current details.

What you can carry into Angel Stadium in 2026

For 2026, the team's rules are generous on food and specific on bags. Confirm the current policy before you go.

  • Bags: either a see-through plastic or vinyl bag no bigger than 12.75 by 6.5 by 12.75 inches, without concealed pockets, or a roughly 12-by-12-inch bag that closes with one zipper. Staff inspect medical bags and diaper bags carried with a baby, then let them in.
  • Food: single servings packed in a clear gallon-size bag, and sealed water bottles of a liter or less.
  • Gates: 90 minutes before first pitch, or 60 minutes for 1 p.m. starts.
  • Payment: cashless; machines that turn cash into a prepaid card are by the advance ticket windows and close to sections 133, 237 and 418.
  • Re-entry: not allowed.

Gene Autry's club, the Rally Monkey and 2002

Gene Autry founded the Angels in 1961 as one of baseball's first two expansion teams. The 1961 season was played at a Los Angeles ballpark also named Wrigley Field and then rented Dodger Stadium from 1962 to 1965 before moving to Anaheim, where the ballpark opened on April 19, 1966. Since 1969 the club has competed in the AL West, now shared with Houston, Seattle, Texas and the Athletics. It has also changed names often: Los Angeles Angels, then California Angels in 1965, Anaheim Angels in 1997, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2005, and Los Angeles Angels again since 2016.

  • 1979: the division crown arrives for the first time; 1982 and 1986 bring two more.
  • 1979 to 1980: the stadium is enclosed with about 23,000 seats added for the Rams. The Big A sign, once the scoreboard support, moved to the parking lot, where the 230-foot letter lights up after home wins.
  • 2000: the Rally Monkey debuts on the scoreboard during tight late innings.
  • 2002: the club's only pennant and World Series title, over the San Francisco Giants.
  • 2004 to 2009: a run of five AL West crowns in six seasons; title number nine follows in 2014.
  • 2018 to 2023: Shohei Ohtani pitches and hits in Anaheim, drawing a global audience.
  • February 2025: the lease is extended through 2032, after the city's 2019 land-sale agreement fell apart.

Cooperstown honorees tied to the club include Nolan Ryan, Rod Carew and Vladimir Guerrero, whose plaque shows an Angels cap. All-Star Games came to Anaheim in 1967, 1989 and 2010. Schedules are on the Angels website.
